OPTM-Chapter 168 G-10 Branch

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Jaya Island, G-10 Branch!

Due to the confirmed existence of the “Sky Island” phenomenon, most of the residents of Mock Town have already left. Only a few stubborn individuals remained after the Marines began establishing their branch but were promptly expelled from Jaya Island with courtesy.

The “G” series branches are not just ordinary small branches with appearances that surpass their actual effectiveness within the territories of the Allied Kingdom Members.

They are the dominant forces that block sea routes and serve as the Marine Headquarters’ large-scale war hubs for combating pirates, serving as the sea-calming divine needles established by the Marines in the Grand Line!

These places are managed by the Headquarters Rear Admirals and rather than being called “Marine Branches,” they are better described as “Marine Offices Emergency Stations in Grand Line.”

The two sides which are the Marine Branch and the Civilian Town are simply not on the same level and establishing a Marine Branch takes precedence!

Therefore, for the sake of safety, the residents of Jaya Island could be evacuated without any reason.

However, in a place like Mock Town, there are no ordinary individuals. If the Marines were to seriously investigate, would they advance with executions or push for a city-wide crackdown?

They would definatly have to choose one of them.

So, when it comes to expelling people from Jaya Island, the Marines showed no mercy. Anyone who dares to cause trouble is publicly executed as a deterrent to others.

On the “tooth-like” side of Jaya Island, a massive white fortress rises from the ground, designed in the style of the Marine Headquarters’ flying eaves and pavilions. It is built in a layered manner, ascending in a trapezoidal shape, displaying grandeur and magnificence.

On the exterior walls, the words “G-10” are painted in dark characters, and the Marine flag flutters proudly on the square in front, declaring the stance of this place.

The unique appearance and material of the Island Cloud give the G-10 Branch a pristine and magnificent look. Beneath its enchanting exterior, it exudes an undeniable aura of Killing Intentions.

Soft soil and clouds embellish the surroundings of the island, making the G-10 Branch appear as if it is floating on a cluster of clouds.

Walking on the small paths paved with mud and clouds at the edge of the fortress, one can feel the extraordinary softness under their foot, and they would feel as if they are treading on both clouds and soil.

Transplanted trees and flowers are planted and spread throughout the area surrounding the Marine G-10 Branch, adding a touch of beauty to this grandeur.

The “tooth-like” features of Jaya Island have not been significantly altered, providing the G-10 Branch with several natural ship docks. With a slight modification, these docks can accommodate battleships required for a force of ten thousand soldiers.

Simultaneously, due to the separation of the “lower jaw,” an area of moderate size, the terrain of the lower jaw is preserved as an aircraft landing and parking area. At this moment, a group of people are busy transferring bags of mud into the aircraft.

As the Security Advisor of the Aircraft Force, Cricket has successfully identified the best route to reach the harbor of Angel Island, and formal trade relations have begun between the two sides.

With the construction materials provided by Gan Fall from the Island Cloud, the G-10 Branch was able to excavate the soil surplus from the foundation construction of the harbor, and this is the last batch.

The rest needs to be transported from various places since Jiaya Island is not large enough to provide that much soil for Sky Island.

“Advisor Cricket! We’ve finished the transfer!” A soldier, wiping off his sweat, runs over and salutes before speaking.

“Okay, understood… Go ask the navigator to confirm that there won’t be any rain today.”
Cricket replied in an even tone and gave an order.
The matter of Sky Island cannot be taken lightly. Their transport aircraft were not originally designed for warfare and are not as sturdy as war aircraft.

Carrying cargo weighing tens of tons now would result in a disastrous accident if there is an oversight and there would be no survivors. After assigning the soldiers, Cricket looks up at the sky, suddenly furrowing his brow.

“What are those shadows?”

In the sky, elliptical shadows are slowly drifting toward Jaya Island, it was as if a group of whales are swimming in the White Sea, casting dark spots on the ground.

“We don’t have any aircraft scheduled to return today… Could it be?!”

Cricket wonders in confusion.

At that moment, a piercing alarm echoes from inside the fortress, and a large number of soldiers rush out from various corners, quickly clearing the aircraft harbor.

Except for the positions occupied by the transport aircraft, the harbor area near the lower jaw is guarded meticulously, not even allowing a fly to enter. Soldiers bear the weight of cold guns on their shoulders, under the scorching sun, their eyes filled with excitement.

On the other side, at the Battleship harbor near the lower jaw, a small boat approaches, and Lieutenant Commander Dante rushed over to the place where Cricket is standing with a neat dress and his beloved sword at his side.

“Lieutenant Commander Dante!” Cricket greets him as they meet. They are colleagues and have a good relationship.

“Cricket, the transport aircraft is ready for departure?” Dante returns the greeting warmly and asks.

“It’s all set and ready to go. But looking at the situation… it seems like not taking off would be the right choice!”

Above Jaya Island, a group of Blue Whales shaped ships, with a noticeably different aura than the transport aircraft, breaks through the clouds and descends from the sky!

Despite their relatively small size, these whales hide a large number of Plasma Cannons within their bodies, and their densely packed square-shaped protective armor gives off a strong sense of iron-blooded Killing Intentions!

If the larger and more robust transport aircraft are like water buffaloes on the grasslands, huge and strong, then this batch of aircraft is a pack of lions, vigilant and selective predators! They possess sharp fangs and claws, and are capable of tearing open the throats of any prey!

Shaken by this overwhelming presence, the bustling harbor quickly falls silent, and the soldiers lock their gaze on the aircraft with a mixture of reverence and excitement. The sound of their breaths and heartbeats can be heard clearly.

Dante smiles at the scene.

“That’s right… You know Rowen’s temperament. If the transport aircraft obstructed their landing path, even if there’s only a one in ten thousand chance of a collision, he would definitely order you to be sunk.”

Cricket: “…”

“Hahaha, just kidding! How could we sink our allies!”

Dante pats Cricket on the shoulder as he spoke with an embarrassed look on his face.

But the truth is, he doesn’t really think it’s a joke!

Well, there wouldn’t be any surprises if Rowen does exactly that.

A few months ago, during the purge of Jaya Island, the magnificent Thunderous Heavenly Punishment had already forged Rowen’s reputation as the “Iron-Blooded Officer.”

He may not be a full-fledged member of the Marine War Faction, but when it comes to enemies, he is considered to be even more ferocious than the entire War Faction!

Even though no one went out to proclaim it after the incident with Ace, the fact that “no one escaped” made various factions in the sea recognize Rowen’s strength and ruthlessness once again.

This is something that both the Marines and the pirates are well aware of!
