Capone Bege’s face turned as dark as ink, and his fingers cracked the well-crafted wooden windowsill.
“Have you found out why the Happo Navy is attacking us?!”
It was only a few days ago that Chinjao had placed an order with them and took back a batch of goods. But unexpectedly, the Happo Navy attacked them without any hesitation, catching the Capone Family off guard and leaving them with no time to react.
“Sorry, Godfather…”
Vito’s expression was equally unpleasant as he spoke. “At first, I thought it might be our people selling defective goods to them, but the investigation showed otherwise. Do you think… it’s because Don Sai had become a Shichibukai, and Kano Country wants to rule over West Blue, so they targeted us?”
It was precisely because Don Sai had become a Shichibukai that Kano Country would undoubtedly start expanding. To send a message to everyone from Kano Country, Capone Bege had sold them weapons at a very low price, indicating that their arsenal needed an upgrade!
The result had been satisfying, with several hired pirate crews obliterated, without any backlash from Kano Country. Chinjao promptly arrived to place an order.
But who could tell them why Kano Country’s first target for expansion was them?!
Did they really think they were easy to bully?!
“Hmph! Thinking that being a Shichibukai makes one invincible? West Blue is not a place where one’s individual strength dominates the entire sea!”
Bege also thought this was the most likely reason… During his years in charge of the Capone Family, many had set their sights on his business, wanting a piece of the pie or even trying to forcefully take what they wanted.
However, the past enemies were not as powerful as Kano Country, and the Happo Navy’s “Chinjao the Drill” was considered the number one figure in this part of the sea and he was even considered one of the strongest in the Grand Line, not to mention in West Blue.
“Since you dare to come, don’t blame me for replying in kind!” With hatred in his heart and anger in his eyes, Bege donned his black suit and left the lookout post, with Vito following closely.
Capone Island couldn’t be saved; Kano Country had the advantage of a surprise attack and top-tier combat power, and with the current garrison forces stationed on the island, they couldn’t hold out, so they had to abandon it.
But that didn’t mean the Capone Family was finished. They had rooted themselves in West Blue for many years, and Capone Island was just an ordinary island where the Capone Mafia had its humble beginnings and it had a symbolic meaning for them.
One who digs a pit for others falls into it themselves; Bege would make Kano Country regret provoking him in West Blue!
Bang, Bang!
Suddenly, with two explosions, the City Fortress shook violently. Both of them staggered, barely managing to steady themselves by holding onto the nearby wall.
“Godfather, are you alright?!” Vito anxiously asked, feeling dizzy from the impact of the explosions.
Bege was also feeling unwell as he shook his head. Then he took out a Den Den Mushi and asked with a displeased expression on his face, “What’s happening outside?!”
The Happo Navy couldn’t possibly possess such formidable firepower! That was a technology even he hadn’t acquired.
Could there be other enemies?
“Cough… Cough!”
On the other end of the Den Den Mushi, a soldier covered in blood and dirt in the communication room coughed and grabbed the Den Den Mushi, exclaiming, “Run, Godfather!! Marines… the Marines are here!!”
Hiss!
Bege’s pupils contracted when he heard those words.
Marines?!!

On the deck of the ‘Qilin’ Ship, which was at the same height as the second floor of City Fortress, Henry swung his longsword and gave the command.
“Prepare… Fire!”

The cannons, crafted with Marine’s cutting-edge technology, fired with short but powerful sounds. The cannons on the ship required minimal cleaning of the barrel, allowing for an immediate second round of shots.
Boom, Boom!
Explosions and flames erupted on the walls of the City Fortress as the solid cannonballs shattered the sturdy stones without any resistance.
The Capone Mafia soldiers noticed the attack and quickly gathered their defenses behind the walls, firing solid iron balls back.
Seeing this, Henry sneered and issued another order.
“Prepare Plasma Cannons… Fire!”
Zi, Zi, Zi… Bang!
Bundles of immaculate white fluid-like spots shot out from the silver-white muzzles. These box-like Plasma Cannons, with a barrel length of less than half an arm’s length, displayed their power as deadly weapons for the first time in front of the West Blue forces.
The special fluid enveloped the plasma, and upon reaching their targets, they exploded, releasing a powerful surge of electricity that covered the battlefield.
Whoosh, Whoosh, Whoosh!
The Capone Mafia soldiers had no time to react and were torn into pieces by the high-voltage metal storm!
“Ahh!!!”
“Quick, enemies behind us!!”
“Be careful, cannonfire incoming!”
At the main entrance, Don Sai, leading his force in the attack, looked back at the chaos caused by the fire from ‘Qilin’ Ship. He knew that was the ship’s doing. He remembered what Chinjao had said to him and gritted his teeth as he ordered. “Charge! Don’t let Capone Bege escape!”
“Roger!” Don Sai held the ‘Guandao’ in his hand as he faced the oncoming enemies, he clenched his right fist, and ruthlessly struck forward.

Buzz!
A visible shockwave dispersed in the air as dozens of enemies in front of him were hit by the impact, immediately crumbling and flying in all directions, these people were unable to get up after hitting the ground.
“Now’s the time, kill!”
“Kill!!”
…
“What? You’re saying the Marines under you have taken no action against us?!”
In the depths of the City Fortress, Capone Bege was taken aback upon hearing the news. He then sneered, “Rear Admiral Shiloros! You better think carefully before answering!”
“Those who deceive Capone Bege’s Mafia Family end up sleeping with the fishes!”
On the other end of the Den Den Mushi, Shiloros, the commanding officer stationed at Dick Town, West Blue, shouted, “You bastard! Do you know how many times I’ve covered your back over the years? Do you think you haven’t been caught because of me?! I would have dealt with you long ago if I could!”
Under the fierce attack of the Happo Navy, the Capone Mafia Family was caught between enemies, forced to retreat, and gradually pushed to the center of the City Fortress. Faced with the pressure from the Marines and Shichibukai working together, Capone Bege had to rely on his connections to find an escape route.
