PC Chapter 113 1 year

Time flies, and in the blink of an eye, it has been two academic years since Terrance arrived at Crown Academy.

And it has been over a year since the “North Lake incident.”

During this time, the academy has gone through one break, but Terrance has been deprived of any vacation. After returning, Terrance has not taken a single step away from Crown Academy, staying until now.

Today is the last day of the academy’s degree promotion, and after today, the students will welcome another vacation.

Not much significant has happened during this period, but one thing caught Terrance’s attention because it happened around him.

This year, the enrollment at Crown Academy has unusually decreased to just one person. If this continues without relief, even the promotion system at the academy, such as those for elementary and intermediate classes may fail to operate normally.

The new student comes from the distant Kanto Region and is the son of a local tycoon, Ken Matsuda, rather than being a native of the Sinnoh region. This added even more pressure on the academy.

Terrance knows him because he lives next to him and is also a student of the Breeder Class.

He is a short boy with a watermelon-hairstyle, fair skin, large eyes, and younger than Terrance by a year.

Student Battle Zone.

In the venue for student promotion exams, on the audience stand, Terrance and the new student Akon from the Breeder Class were watching the promotion exam.

Watching the promotion exam was not Terrance’s intention, but “Teacher Julian” forced him to come, saying it’s to gather more experience.

“That Probopass has powerful computing power, doesn’t it?” Terrance was sitting next to Akon, observing as he held a laptop and superimposed Probopass’ model onto a three-dimensional image, smiling as he spoke.

The Probopass battling on the field was the one Terrance took care of for a while. In over a year, it has also grown a lot.

Akon just nodded. Terrance looked at him helplessly. In a sense, Akon is similar to Terrance. He got the nickname ‘reclusive’ shortly after coming to the academy, but unlike Terrance, Akon’s reclusive nature is entirely because he is shy, not good at talking to strangers. However….Akon loves Pokémon very much.

Two students had left the Breeder Class this year, and one of them, Ozawa, successfully passed the Junior Breeder exam. He is the Breeder Class student who often took care of Ralts. After he left, besides Terrance, Akon is the one who talks to Ralts the most.

Understanding Ralts’ situation, Akon takes out some time almost every day communicating with Ralts.

Terrance’s acquaintance with Akon is mostly due to Ralts. Besides, the reason Terrance and Akon got entangled is because this guy has a brain computing power that Terrance envies.

Akon can naturally analyze the growth data and battle date of Pokémon perfectly, like it’s his inborn talent. So these two got involved and worked together to formulate a growth plan for Ralts.

Unfortunately, after a year, there is still no sign of Ralts evolving.

For Terrence and Akon, it may have been a year of effort, but for Ralts itself, maintaining this appearance has been more than just a year.

From birth to now, except for Teleport, Ralts hasn’t been able to experience any other moves, let alone the taste of evolution.

Regarding this, both Terrance and Akon feel sorry that Ralts has not undergone much change. Even with its amazing Teleport, Ralts cannot participate in battles like a normal Pokémon.

For someone who has always hoped for a Trainer to approve of his Ralts, this is a significant blow.

The promotion exam was in full swing, but Terrance had no interest in watching such promotional battles. In this one year, he feels like he has become a robot.

Learning Breeder knowledge, learning Coordinator skills, and engaging in battle training.

Terrance mostly immerses himself in studying and memorizing Breeder knowledge, and slowly engages in deduction in the quiet hours of the night or in the early morning.

Regarding Coordinator matters, sometimes he refers to the experiences of predecessors, devising some ingenious combinations of moves, and sometimes he seeks advice from others. Overall, he has been leading a fulfilling life.

As for battle training, it is the most challenging and demanding training for Terrance. Teacher Julian is like a devil; the training tasks he assigned to him makes him suspect if it’s an enhanced version of what he experienced in the police system.

When Pokémon are training, Terrance has to undergo martial arts training, endurance training, making him, the Trainer, and Pokémon share the comforts and hardships. In the beginning, he returned to the dorm exhausted every day until he slowly adapted.

However, these fulfilling days made Terrance astonishingly discover that, no matter what he does, his efficiency is surprisingly much higher.

“Not…not good. Ralts has fainted.”

On one calm day, bad news reached Terrance’s ears.

Putting down what he was doing, Terrance hurriedly rushed to the scene. At this moment, Ralts was lying quietly on a stretcher, but from its expression, it still showed a painful look.

“How is it?” Terrance quickly asked Teacher Teresa.

“It’s nothing serious. It’s just that this little one is too eager for results. It has been practicing ‘Teleport,’ too much, which led to the body overloading and exhausting its strength, causing it to faint from exhaustion.”

“Give it some nutrition and let it rest for a while. It should recover soon,” Teresa said.

Terrance looked at Ralts on the bed, feeling somewhat powerless. There are just too many strange diseases in the Pokémon world, and even top-notch Breeders who are experts in healing dare not guarantee that they understand them all.

“It’s pushing itself too hard,” Terrance sighed. If Ralts was willing to be just an ordinary Pokémon, not pursuing battles, life might be more peaceful.

But this little one has a fanatical obsession for battles. Because it can’t fight, it must fight.

The little guy refuses to succumb to fate.

“Teacher Teresa… I would like to take a long leave,” Terrance raised his head and suddenly said.

“A long leave?” Teresa was surprised.

“Yes, I plan to take Ralts to find a chance to recover. I already have some clues.” Terrence said.

Teresa stared at Terrance for a long time, unable to speak. Has he found a solution? Even the teachers in the academy can’t solve this problem, and yet this little guy has a way… Looking at Terrance with a complex expression, Teresa didn’t know what kind of miracle Terrance was going to bring her again.
