IUD-Chapter 84: The Second Journey

After ten days, Fang Li’s personal residence had completely transformed. The ground was covered with lush green lawns. Flowers and plants were scattered all around and at the center of the lawn stood a magnificent mansion.

This mansion was Fang Li’s new abode.

Compared to the barren land where even wild beasts couldn’t find shelter, this place was finally suitable for habitation. After all, with his daily training, Fang Li couldn’t afford to neglect the importance of rest.

Clearly, the previous wasteland couldn’t provide him with sufficient rest and energy recovery. Thus, Fang Li decided to spend all of his remaining 1000 Exchange Points to transform his personal residence into its current state.

Returning from the outside, Fang Li gazed at his new residence without immediately entering. Instead, he opened his Attribute Panel and checked his current Attributes.

Character: Fang Li

Race: Human

Title: First Rookie

Level (Rank): Rank 5

STR: 18 (+17)

VIT (Endurance): 18 (+17)

AGI (Agility): 33 (+17)

INT (Mystery): 18 (+17)

The two accessories Fang Li possessed provided a total Attribute increase of 7 points, significantly boosting his overall Attributes.

Furthermore, Fang Li allocated all ten of his freely obtained Attribute Points into AGI (Agility), raising it to 33 points. With the additional Attribute increase of 10 points from his title, Fang Li’s Attributes were now on an entirely different level compared to before.

As for his strength, it had undergone a qualitative leap. At least now, Fang Li couldn’t be considered an “outside the door” amateur when it came to combat.

“However, I still can’t be called an expert.” Fang Li silently thought in his heart.

That’s why Fang Li needed specialization.

For someone like Fang Li, who possessed the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, which could bypass defenses, increasing STR was practically useless.

VIT (Endurance) had its merits, but compared to the impact AGI (Agility) had on Fang Li, it was less significant.

Considering the limited Attribute Points available and the fact that the upper limit for Combined Attributes at Rank 5 was 100 points, it was better to focus on raising a single Attribute instead of distributing the points.

Therefore, Fang Li chose to allocate all of his Attribute Points to AGI (Agility).

“On the other hand, there’s some ambiguity regarding the importance of INT (Mystery) for me.” Fang Li wondered.

To put it plainly, INT (Mystery) determines the amount of power one possesses to perform miracles.

For example, in the TYPE-MOON world, Mages can utilize Magecraft, a power that consumes energy known as Magic Power. The higher the INT (Mystery) of a Divine Envoy who transitions to become a Mage, the greater the amount of Magic Power they can possess.

INT (Mystery) determines the extent of this power used for performing miracles or magic. From this perspective, this Attribute is undoubtedly useful in many ways.

However, Fang Li hadn’t transitioned into any class that required INT (Mystery), making it unnecessary to increase this Attribute.

“So, for now, it’ll stay as it is.” After confirming his condition, Fang Li raised his head and looked into the sky, as if speaking to an unseen presence, and suddenly spoke.
“I request entry into the Dungeon World.”

As his words fell, the system’s notification sound immediately responded.

“Serial Number 11273 requests entry into the Dungeon World. The matching process initiated.”

Upon hearing the system’s notification sound, Fang Li’s expression became somewhat serious as he thought. “I hope the Number of Participants is still One.”

The first Dungeon World experience for the primary Divine Envoy upon entering the Main God’s Dimension is always a solo endeavor.

As for subsequent Dungeon Worlds, the Number of Participants is randomly determined. If the character requires more than one participant then the primary Divine Envoy needs to recruit teammates and form a team to enter the Dungeon World.

However, assembling a team is not an easy task.

Firstly, because each participant comes from different Planar Worlds, they have their own knowledge of Dungeon Worlds, making it unlikely for any primary Divine Envoy to join another’s team.

After all, the team’s captain is familiar with the plot, while the primary Divine Envoy from another Planar World knows nothing, and they could easily be used as pawns by the captain, gaining no benefits and even risking their lives.

Likewise, as the primary Divine Envoy responsible for forming the team, the captain also needs to be cautious about team members joining solely for their own interests, lest they end up being betrayed.

Therefore, forming a team in the Main God’s Dimension is exceedingly difficult.

Precisely because of this, the Servant Certificate came into existence.

Instead of recruiting untrustworthy teammates within the Main God’s Dimension, where primary Divine Envoys scheme against each other, it is better to interact with familiar Plot Characters within the plot world, establish friendly relationships, and then use the Servant Certificate to recruit them as one’s own Servants.

For example, if Fang Li were to choose between recruiting a completely unfamiliar primary Divine Envoy or having Mumei as a team member, Fang Li would undoubtedly choose the latter without the slightest hesitation.

This is not only because Fang Li is familiar with Mumei and can trust her to watch his back, but also because the Servant Certificate enables life-sharing. Once someone becomes a Servant of a Divine Envoy, they become part of that Envoy and share their life with them, eliminating any reason for treachery.

This is the mindset shared by almost all primary Divine Envoys.

Therefore, under normal circumstances, unless there is no other choice, no one would choose to recruit team members, nor would they choose to enter a team established by another primary Divine Envoy.

Fang Li was no exception to this.

Hence, Fang Li sincerely hoped that the Number of Participants in this Dungeon World would remain one.

Otherwise, Fang Li would truly have to make an effort to recruit team members.

Not long after, the system’s matching process was finally completed.

“Dungeon World: God Eater.”

“Quest Difficulty: Rank 5.”

“Number of Participants: 1.”

“Number of Main Quests: 3.”

“Quest 1: Participate in the Aragami extermination operation initiated by the Fenrir Far East Branch. Kill Aragami during the operation, and the reward will be based on the number of kills.”

“Quest 2: Obtain Aragami Cores. The reward will be based on the number of cores you have obtained.”

“Quest 3: Gain 5000 Exchange Points. Additional rewards will be given based on the Exchange Points you have obtained.”

“Failure Punishment: Each failure in the Main Quest will result in a deduction of 1000 Exchange Points.”

“Completion Reward: Settlement will be based on the final evaluation.”

When the system announced “Number of Participants: 1,” Fang Li couldn’t help but breathe out a sigh of relief and smile.

The next moment, Fang Li’s figure gradually disappeared on the spot.
