IUD-Chapter 372 The Most Important Person

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Three days passed in the blink of an eye.

During these three days, Fang Li did almost nothing but follow Fan Xinglou’s training instructions, spar with Fan Xinglou, and continue to improve his own strength. Though there wasn’t significant progress in just three days, Fang Li’s determination to get better was evident, surprising even Fan Xinglou.

However, Fang Li didn’t focus solely on training during these three days. Instead, he almost daily set aside a considerable amount of time to accompany Sylvia in various activities.

Actually, at this point, there was no need to refer to it as “random activities.” In essence, it was just like before, enjoying a peaceful everyday life.

The world typically referred to such activities as “dates.”

Therefore, for the three days, Fang Li made an effort to spend almost half of his time with Sylvia.

It was no small feat. Regardless of Fang Li, Sylvia was a world-renowned Diva. Terms like “making tens of thousands in seconds” didn’t even apply to her anymore.

You can imagine how tightly packed Sylvia’s schedule was, especially now, with Fang Li about to leave. Despite this, Sylvia stubbornly negotiated three days off from her role as Superintendent at Queenvail Women’s Academy, a job that required her to be her own agent, to spend quality time with Fang Li.

After all, Sylvia wasn’t going to leave this world anytime soon.

As she had stated, she had many attachments to this world, and Ursula still hadn’t woken up. So, during Fang Li’s absence, Sylvia was going to stay behind to look after Ursula until she woke up.

In such a scenario, both Fang Li and Sylvia hoped to make the most of the remaining time to be with each other.

And so, the three days passed.

On this day, as dusk descended, Fang Li arrived at the audience room of the Yellow Dragon Temple.

Here, Fan Xinglou sat on a throne-like chair, as always, observing Fang Li as he entered. She wore an unchanging smile and asked, “Are you planning to leave?”

With that one sentence, Fang Li froze in his tracks.

“Master?” Fang Li stared at Fan Xinglou in astonishment. “How did you know I was planning to leave?”

“Are you implying that all the sparring between old me and you was in vain?” Fan Xinglou glanced at Fang Li and said directly, “These things are best understood through the exchange of fists.”

As an Immortal who had lived for over a thousand years, Fan Xinglou’s martial arts proficiency had already reached its peak, exceeding even her own physical abilities. So, even if Fang Li hadn’t explicitly told Fan Xinglou about his plans, she could have deduced his intentions from their sparring, peeking into his willpower, right?

Furthermore, Fan Xinglou was a master of Seisenjutsu. Even if she had some form of mind-reading ability, that wouldn’t be surprising.

Of course, even if Fan Xinglou had mind-reading abilities, she wouldn’t be able to delve into the secrets of the Main God’s Dimension.

The secrets of the Main God’s Dimension were exclusive to the Chief Divine Envoy, and nobody else could access them. Even if someone tried to probe, they’d find nothing.

And if the Chief Divine Envoy himself revealed the secrets, they would face severe punishment. All Main Quest rewards would be withheld, and even special items from the Chief Divine Envoy’s inventory wouldn’t be obtainable— a punishment that was almost unimaginable for a Chief Divine Envoy.

In light of this, Fang Li wasn’t concerned about Fan Xinglou having any sort of mind-reading ability to uncover secrets about the Main God’s Dimension. He was only surprised by Fan Xinglou’s prediction of his actions.

After his moment of astonishment, Fang Li let out a sigh. He clasped his fists before Fan Xinglou and knelt on one knee, paying his respects as a disciple.

Then, Fang Li raised his voice with a declaration: “I want to thank Master for your guidance in these days!”

His voice echoed clearly within the Yellow Dragon Temple, lingering for a long time.

Fan Xinglou, however, simply shrugged and said nonchalantly, “Old me said long ago that I was only teaching you martial arts for my own satisfaction. Your progress and performance have taken me by surprise, and that’s enough to repay me for the education I’ve given you.”

“Anything beyond that, I don’t care at all. I won’t even ask where you plan to go or if you’ll return. So, do what you want.”

That was Fan Xinglou. She embraced an ideology of complete freedom for her disciples, with a hedonistic outlook on life, paying no mind to anything else.

“There is only one thing you should remember,” Fan Xinglou added with a sly grin, speaking to Fang Li, “Since you’re my disciple, ‘Banyuu Tenra,’ you can only rise. Never fall.”

“If the next time you return here, you’re weaker than you are now, there’s no need to come see me.”

With these words, Fan Xinglou’s figure gradually disappeared, like a mirage in the distance.

Fang Li, still kneeling, watched the place where Fan Xinglou had vanished. It wasn’t until an hour later that he stood up, turned around, and left the audience room, then Yellow Dragon Temple, and finally, Jie Long Seventh Institute.

After leaving Jie Long, Fang Li arrived on the streets of the Asterisk City. The streets were still bustling with people, but the number of vehicles was notably scarce, making the roads seem spacious.

Walking through the crowd, Fang Li had already changed out of his Jie Long uniform into very ordinary casual clothing.

At a certain moment, Fang Li stopped in his tracks, gazing up at a massive space window unfolding in front of a skyscraper.

A live broadcast was in progress there, a live press conference. The interviewee was none other than Sylvia.

A reporter addressed Sylvia, “Miss Sylvia, it’s been said that you’ve turned down all your worldwide work in the last few days, indirectly causing significant losses. Can you please explain the reason for this?”

Facing the question, Sylvia wore an impeccable smile and replied, “Because I need to be with the most important person in my life.”

When this statement spread clearly, it left not only the reporters but also the crowds on the streets utterly dumbfounded. Only Fang Li couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Then, the system’s notification sounded, “Serial Number 11273’s retention time has ended; automatically returning to the Main God’s Dimension.”
