“Dungeon World: Gakusen Toshi Asterisk.”

“Quest Difficulty: Fourth Rank.”

“Number of Participants: 1.”

“Main Quest Number: 3.”

“Quest 1: Participate in any Festa Tournament, reaching at least the quarterfinals. Additional rewards will be granted based on your placement.”

“Quest 2: Obtain Urm Manadyte. Additional rewards will be granted based on the quantity obtained.”

“Quest 3: Gain 20,000 Exchange Points. Additional rewards will be granted based on Exchange Points earned.”

“Failure Punishment: Failure to complete any Main Quest will result in a deduction of 5,000 Exchange Points.”

“Completion Reward: Rewards will be determined based on the final evaluation.”

Initially, Fang Li had acquired a Dungeon Mission Command item in the Trading Area that could be used three times. However, this time, Fang Li didn’t need to use it.

The Dungeon Mission Command’s scope of alteration was limited to the Number of Participants and Main Quest Number. For the Promotion Quest, Fang Li had ventured into the Entertainment Area for a rare visit.

In the Entertainment Area, various places for leisure and enjoyment were available. Typically, such places were good sources of gathering information.

During his rest period, Fang Li had visited a tavern in the Entertainment Area and managed to gather some information about Promotion Quests. According to other Divine Envoys, Promotion Quests usually had three distinctive features.

First, within the Quest, there would be a requirement related to the evaluation of the Dungeon World experienced by the Divine Envoy.

Second, the Quest would involve experiencing a Dungeon World with an increased Quest Difficulty.

Lastly, the Dungeon World experience would not allow any teammates; the Number of Participants would always be limited to one.

Given these circumstances, Fang Li naturally didn’t need to use the Dungeon Mission Command. During a Promotion Quest, the Number of Participants would always be one, a factor he couldn’t modify.

Moreover, the Dungeon World experienced by a Divine Envoy would have a minimum of three Main Quests, which couldn’t be reduced. As for increasing the number of Main Quests, that wasn’t possible either.

Promotion Quests required the completion of all Main Quests. Plus, with the Quest Difficulty increasing by one Rank, adding any Main Quests would only increase the risk of quest failure.

Therefore, despite the opportunity to enhance the evaluation and increase the chances of better rewards by adding more Main Quests, Fang Li decided not to take that route this time.

Hence, Fang Li didn’t need to use the Dungeon Mission Command at all. However, right after the Dungeon Quest message entered his mind, the system’s notification sound rang out once more.

“For this Dungeon World, you can choose your faction. Your role will be determined based on your chosen faction.”

“Please select one of the following factions, Serial Number 11273.”

“1: Seidoukan Academy.”

“2: Saint Galahadworth Academy.”

“3: Jie Long Seventh Institute.”

“4: Arlequint Academy.”

“5: Queenvail Girls’ Academy.”

“6: Rewolf Black Institute.”

“Please choose.”

Fang Li was momentarily taken aback but soon had a realization. Such situations weren’t particularly rare in the Main God’s Dimension.

In the Main God’s Dimension, any Divine Envoy with a bit of experience had likely encountered Dungeon Worlds where they could choose a faction. However, Dungeon Worlds that allowed independent faction selection were usually more complex.

The complexity could manifest in various ways, depending on the world. In the case of “Gakusen Toshi Asterisk,” it seemed that the unique worldview of this world led to the option of selecting a faction.

This world was set in a near-future scenario. In the 20th century, the Earth was struck by an unprecedented disaster known as “Invertia.”

For three days and three nights, a meteor shower rained down, destroying many cities, weakening existing nations significantly, and eventually allowing a newly emerging economic power called the “Integrated Enterprise Foundation” to take over.

The Integrated Enterprise Foundation referred to a new economic entity formed by the combination of numerous corporations to navigate the chaotic world economy.

There were initially eight of them, but later, only six remained. These six Foundations competed with each other while wielding more power than the weakened nations, effectively controlling the world.

The six academies mentioned by the Main God’s Dimension were actually facilities under these six Integrated Enterprise Foundations. They were situated on a man-made city floating over a massive impact crater lake created during the Invertia period.

This artificial city, known as “Rikka,” had a hexagonal urban district with vertices resembling bastions. Its appearance was reminiscent of crystalline snow, and its formal name was “Rikka.” Due to its shape, resembling a six-pointed star, it was also called “Asterisk.”

Due to the competitive nature of the six Integrated Enterprise Foundations, the Six Great Academies within Asterisk City were in a constant state of rivalry. It was because of this rivalry that this Dungeon World provided the option to choose a faction.

“It seems that the Main God’s Dimension intends to make me a student this time.”

This wasn’t particularly disagreeable for Fang Li. Just like the world of “Hidan no Aria,” this Dungeon World was far from ordinary. From the name “Gakusen City,” it was clear what kind of place this world was and what kind of nature its students possessed.

Furthermore, with the competition between the academies, Fang Li anticipated plenty of opportunities for battles.

The question was which faction to choose.

“If I recall correctly, the main setting revolves around Seidoukan Academy.”

In other words, choosing Seidoukan Academy would give Fang Li a significant advantage, as he was already somewhat familiar with this world. Unlike the previous world, where his memories of the original plot had faded due to the passage of time, Fang Li had put considerable effort into reacquainting himself with the source material.

However, Fang Li hesitated and ultimately made a different choice.

“I choose Jie Long Seventh Institute.”

As soon as the words left his mouth, Fang Li’s figure disappeared within his personal quarters.

Amidst a whirlwind of sensations, Fang Li endured the slightly uncomfortable disorientation caused by the teleportation and found himself in a room with a distinct Eastern aesthetic.

In that instant, the system’s notification sound rang out.

“Special Class detected in this Dungeon World: Genestellar.”

“Entities capable of sensing Mana can apply to the Main God’s Dimension for an accelerated transformation. Transition into the Genestellar Class grants enhanced physical abilities and Prana.”
