IUD-Chapter 124 Worst Luck?

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

This place was filled with desolate ruins which were destroyed and were in a pitiful state. Everything around was all wreckage. The streets, once open, have turned into debris. Abandoned wood pulp factories are smeared with gray or white paint everywhere. Broken electrical wires entangle on the ground. Within these ruins, Fang Li and Alisa were walking together.

Alisa is walking behind Fang Li with her God Arc in her hand and with a vigilant expression on her face, occasionally glancing towards Fang Li in front.

Under Alisa’s watchful gaze, Fang Li touched on the tablet Rindou Amamiya gave him which showed the map and current location.

“According to this, there should be a helicopter nearby.” Fang Li mutters to himself as he verifies the signals on the Tablet.

“I hope this time the helicopter is usable.”

Before this, Fang Li and Alisa had already found three helicopters. However, all of those helicopters had some degree of malfunction and couldn’t be started at all.

As for the completely destroyed helicopters, their electromagnetic signals couldn’t even be detected, making it unnecessary to search for them.

So, it has been nearly half a day since Fang Li and Alisa left the group led by Amamiya Rindou, and as the sun is about to set, Fang Li really wants to speed up their progress. After several days of consumption, Fang Li has used up all the Energy Compression Cookies he had.

In other words, from now on, Fang Li and Alisa have no food left.

As for water, they occasionally come across rivers and underground water, so Fang Li can fill up the water bottle and doesn’t have to worry about water, but they need to figure out another solution for food.

If they can’t find a helicopter next and have to return to the Russian Branch, they will truly have to wander around to obtain food.

Fang Li doesn’t want to waste time on such matters. Therefore, Fang Li sincerely hopes that the next confirmed helicopter location is usable.

Not long after, Fang Li arrives at the location of the signal.

Lifting his head from the Tablet in his hand, Fang Li scans the surroundings and shortly afterward points in a direction.

“It’s over there.”

Hearing this, Alisa immediately looks in that direction. The direction Fang Li is pointing to is an abandoned mansion.

“Behind there should be the location of the helicopter.” Saying so, Fang Li puts the Tablet back into the Black Ring and takes the lead in moving forward.

Alisa immediately follows. In this way, the two of them reach the front of the mansion in the ruins, following the wall and circling toward their destination.

At this moment, faint roars begin to sound, entering Fang Li and Alisa’s ears causing their footsteps to suddenly come to a halt.

Alisa tightly grips her God Arc, her expression shifting into a combat state.

However, upon hearing those faint roars, Fang Li recalls the appearance of the Master behind those sounds from his memory, and he can’t help but smile wryly, saying, “It seems like we have one big trouble to solve before we leave.”

Alisa is momentarily taken aback.

Big trouble?

“What big trouble?”

Fang Li didn’t answer as he only came to a corner of the mansion, poked his head out, and looked towards the back of the mansion.

Silently, Alisa walked forward and followed Fang Li, looking in the same direction.

Immediately, the scene that entered their eyes made Alisa hold her breath tightly. They saw three gigantic Aragami, with tiger heads, tiger bodies, and tiger tails, wearing cloak-like red coats, and their size was comparable to a small warehouse.

It was none other than Vajra.

Moreover, it was a total of three Vajras.

The three Vajras were surrounding the ruins on the open space enclosed by abandoned mansions, burying their heads and gnawing on the rubble.

At the top of the ruins being devoured by the three Vajras, a helicopter was lying there. Although it appeared somewhat worn, it didn’t have much damage.

Looking at the vulnerable backs of the three Vajras, Alisa’s gaze fluctuated intensely. Her cold expression became somewhat distorted, and her hand holding the God Arc trembled.

Seeing this, Fang Li couldn’t help but extend his hand, tightly grabbing Alisa’s wrist, and spoke with an unquestionable tone, “Calm down, we absolutely cannot rush out.”

“Why?” Alisa’s emotions seemed to show signs of losing control. She lowered her voice and retorted, “The enemy is not on guard right now. Isn’t this the best time to launch an attack?”

“But once you strike, the enemy will be on guard. So unless you have certainty of a one-hit kill, after launching an attack, you will have to face multiple large Aragami,” Fang Li fixedly looked at Alisa and said, “I’m confident I can instantly take down one, but only one. It would be impossible for you to deal with the remaining two. It would be too dangerous.”

With the sharpness of the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception in a surprise attack scenario, Fang Li’s killing power was astonishing. If there was only one Vajra, Fang Li wouldn’t mind rushing out.

However, there were currently three Vajras there. Even if Fang Li assassinated one, the combined assault from the remaining two would be equally terrifying.

Both Fang Li and Alisa were weaker than Vajra in terms of strength. If it were just one Vajra, they could find a way to deal with it, but with two remaining, things were quite precarious.

“Unless you can find a way to instantly kill one as I can, then the two of us can join forces to deal with the remaining one. That should be manageable,” Fang Li said to Alisa, “What do you think? Do you have a way?”

In that instant, Alisa really wanted to say that she did. However, before she could say anything, Fang Li cut her off.

“Consider your own abilities and don’t make me look down on you.”

Alisa’s body stiffened, her grip on the God Arc becoming tighter and tighter. In the end, she could only lower her head with an unwilling expression on her face.

Only then did Fang Li breathe a sigh of relief.

Based on his understanding of her over the past few days, Fang Li already knew that after joining the Russian Branch, Alisa had started training and hadn’t received any phycological treatment for a long time.

The Russian Branch seemed to be preparing to send a doctor specifically to treat Alisa’s mental state, but until that person arrived, Alisa could only rely on some basic medication to suppress her condition.

That’s why Alisa reacted so intensely when she saw the same type of Aragami that killed her loved ones.

“But after all, it’s not the real Aragami who killed her loved ones, so she can still suppress it.”

Thinking like this, Fang Li realized something in the next second.

His luck was really at its worst.
