Under Fang Li’s words, Alisa realized the pressing issue they had to consider.
Honestly, the current situation was really terrible for them.
They were surrounded by boundless wilderness and they had no survival tools at hand.
It felt like being lost in a desert or stranded on a deserted island in the vast sea. The situation was dire. Even though Fang Li and Alisa were not ordinary people, they still needed food and water to survive.
Without these necessities, they would eventually perish. Moreover, in this era, almost everywhere outside the human bases was the territory of the Aragami.
In such dire circumstances, it wouldn’t be surprising to face a battle with Aragami at any moment. And both Fang Li and Alisa were injured. One wrong move and their entire lives could be lost in the next second.
This was something Alisa absolutely could not allow to happen. More important than her inner frustration, Alisa had something else she needed to accomplish.
She was unwilling to die before completing that task.

At this moment, Alisa couldn’t afford to dwell on the fact that she was being carried by Fang Li. She started racking her brain to think of a solution.
And at this moment, Fang Li, as if finding it not troublesome enough, threw in another sentence at Alisa.
“Just so you know, I don’t know anything about Russia. I have no tools to confirm our direction or a map to determine our location. So I’ll leave all of that to you.”

It had to be said that such an indifferent tone, when heard by the person being rescued, easily ignited a fire of anger in her heart.
However, Alisa seemed unwilling to get entangled with Fang Li on such trivial matters. She only asked, “So, where do you plan to move now?”
“Nowhere,” Fang Li replied, “I just want to try to get out of this stranded situation.”
“Try?” Alisa was startled and couldn’t help but say, “Could it be that you randomly chose a direction to walk?”
If that were the case then it would be better to stay on the spot and wait for rescue. Perhaps they could even encounter a team on a mission.
“Unfortunately, that place could be attacked by Aragami at any time. I don’t want to sit there and wait for death,” Fang Li said to Alisa, “Besides, I didn’t randomly choose a direction. I saw a large number of Aragami heading in this direction, so I chose it.”
Alisa didn’t immediately understand the meaning behind Fang Li’s decision.
After a while, Alisa finally grasped the significance of Fang Li’s choice.
“So that’s how it is,” Alisa analyzed calmly, “Because the Aragami are moving in groups towards the Russian Branch, if there’s a large number of Aragami heading in a specific direction, it’s highly likely that it’s the direction where the Russian Branch is located, right?”
“Well, that’s it,” Fang Li shrugged and said, “But walking back to the Russian Branch on foot would be a miracle. I’m also hoping that we might encounter another team on a mission along the way. If you have a better plan, it’s best to suggest it now.”
Alisa hesitated for a moment but could only helplessly admit that Fang Li’s approach was probably the most appropriate one given the current situation.
However, Alisa didn’t want to rely on others indefinitely.
“Put me down,” Alisa said in an unquestionable tone, “I can walk on my own.”
“Are you sure?” Fang Li glanced back at Alisa with a smile that wasn’t really a smile and said. “Alright, as long as you can get down by yourself, I won’t stop you.”
Upon hearing this, Alisa gritted her teeth and immediately tried to get off Fang Li’s back.
Unfortunately, the intense pain from her entire body still hindered Alisa’s movements, causing a flicker of pain to cross her eyes. There was nothing she could do. After all, Alisa had endured a full-power electric shock from Vajra.
That electric shock, in terms of power alone, was no different from a massive falling thunderstrike.
If it weren’t for the fact that Alisa was a God Eater, injected with Oracle Cells that endowed her with astonishing physical capabilities, an ordinary person would have instantly died from such an electric shock.
The fact that Alisa survived was largely due to her resilient constitution.
However, even so, Alisa suffered serious injuries and lost consciousness almost instantly. Therefore, even with the incredible regenerative power of a God Eater, it would still take some time for her to recover to the point of being able to move independently.

Sensing the situation behind him, Fang Li stopped in his tracks but, as he had said from the beginning, he didn’t try to stop her. He stood there quietly, allowing Alisa to descend from his back.

With a crisp sound, Alisa used her God Arc as a support point, planted it on the ground, and barely maintained her balance.
Then, without even looking at Fang Li, she spoke with the same cold indifference as before.
“Let’s go.”
Having said that, Alisa used her God Arc as a crutch and took one step at a time, moving forward. Her posture looked extremely disheveled, but it was also remarkably resolute.
Seeing this, Fang Li didn’t say anything. He simply spread his hands helplessly and walked forward as well.
However, at that moment, something strange occurred.

The ground suddenly shook without any warning and grew increasingly violent.

However, this voice was so loud that it seemed to be a bolt from the blue, transforming into rolling sound waves that reverberated throughout the sky, piercing Fang Li and Alisa’s eardrums and almost causing them to scream in agony.
Both of them could only cover their ears and raise their heads, looking toward the direction from which the sound was approaching.
Immediately, both of them were stunned.
