The next morning, at the Kamiya Family residence…
“Um, Ophis-Chan, it’s not good for your health to keep eating snacks. How about having some tea?” With some courage, Asia poured a cup of tea and offered it to Ophis.
Glancing at Asia, Ophis accepted the tea and took a couple of sips. “Tastes good,” she remarked before handing the cup back to Asia and continuing to munch on the snacks Tenraku had given her.
“You’re quite brave, Asia, for approaching Ophis like that,” Xenovia commented.
“Yes, indeed,” Irina added. Seeing Asia return, both Xenovia and Irina breathed a sigh of relief and then showed admiration.
“It’s nothing really, and just like Tenraku-San said, Ophis-Chan isn’t as scary as we thought.” Blushing slightly, Asia was feeling a bit embarrassed by their praise.
Ophis had been here for almost a day now, and apart from Tenraku, the other women in the house were still somewhat wary and fearful of her. However, after a day of interaction, everyone realized that the legendary Ophis wasn’t as terrifying as they had imagined. She behaved like a well-behaved child.
When Tenraku wasn’t teasing her, she would sit quietly, snacking or doing nothing, not bothering anyone and not initiating conversations. But if someone approached her to talk, she would respond.
Setting aside her invincible power and her status as the Dragon God of Infinity, there was really no apparent threat from this childlike figure.
“Ohayo Gozaimasu!” Tenraku’s voice came from his room as he emerged, followed by Yubelluna, Mihae, and Tosca. The three women had spent the night in Tenraku’s room, and their faces still carried a hint of the lingering blush from their morning activities. It was no secret that they had indulged in some “naughty” things again this morning.
Greeting them as usual, Asia and the other women acknowledged Tenraku’s presence.
Sitting down on the couch, Tenraku picked up Ophis and placed her on his lap. “Ophis, do you still like it here?” He petted Ophis’s small head and smiled.
“Like? What is that?” Ophis looked up and asked.
Tenraku couldn’t help but touch his forehead. This Dragon God-Sama was indeed quite lacking in basic knowledge and concepts.
“In simple terms, it means, which side do you prefer, Khaos Brigade or our side?” Tenraku explained in a way that Ophis could understand.
“Here,” Ophis replied after tilting her head and thinking for a moment.
Without any particular reason, it was just a feeling.
“Haha, that’s what ‘liking’ means!” Tenraku laughed heartily, in a good mood. Once he had fully integrated this Dragon God loli into his household, Khaos Brigade and others would have to roll over and get out of the way!
“What about Le Fay? Are you getting used to it here?” Tenraku turned his gaze to the young magic user beside him, showing concern.
“Yes, the room is very comfortable, and everyone has been very kind to me,” Le Fay replied.
“If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask. There’s no need to be polite,” Tenraku said.
At the breakfast table, Tenraku and the women quietly enjoyed their meal. Watching Ophis sitting on Tenraku’s lap, opening her mouth from time to time to accept the food he fed her, Rias and her group couldn’t help but feel a sense of disbelief.
Tenraku, he had completely treated this Dragon God-Sama as if he were raising a pet!
“Tenraku, we have to go to school soon. What should we do with Ophis and the others?” Rias put down her utensils and asked.
“That’s indeed a problem. Although we don’t need to worry about their safety, leaving them at home will be quite boring,” Tenraku mused, then turned to Le Fay.
“Le Fay, are you interested in experiencing the life of an ordinary student?”
“Campus life…”
“I’m willing, Tenraku Sama!” Le Fay’s eyes gleamed with anticipation.
“Then it’s decided. Let’s take Ophis and the others to school.”
“I will explain the situation to Sona, but we need to remove the security around the school and along the way. Rias, I’ll leave that to you.”
Having made up his mind, Tenraku said.
“Hah… I’ll handle it later.” Rias sighed in resignation.
The news of Ophis being with them must not leak out, at least not for now, or they would face significant problems. Rias inwardly cursed Azazel for being so careless about the whole situation.
He had casually tossed Ophis their way and then gone about his business, leaving them to deal with the consequences. She wished he would choke on his drink while he was at it.
Back at the Grigori headquarters, Azazel suddenly clutched his chest and started coughing uncontrollably. “Hey, Azazel, are you okay?” Shemhazai asked, looking at Azazel’s disheveled appearance.
“I’m… fine. Just choked on something. Damn it, who cursed me?” Azazel muttered.
Kuoh Academy, Student Council…
“This is the situation, Sona. Could you please arrange for Le Fay’s enrollment?” Tenraku explained the situation to Sona and her group.
Watching Ophis quietly sitting on Tenraku’s lap, munching on snacks, Shinra Tsubaki and Yura Tsubasa turned pale. Even Sona couldn’t hide her exasperation.
“Are you kidding, Kamiya Tenraku!”
“She’s Ophis, do you have any idea what you’re doing? And Rias too! Even if Kamiya Tenraku is clueless, how can you not realize the seriousness of the situation?!”
Sona was livid, and she was unable to maintain her usual calm demeanor at this moment. They dared to adopt Ophis and brazenly bring her to school. Had they all gone insane?
“Sona, I felt exactly like you did initially, but for the sake of the world’s balance, we had no choice but to do this ourselves,” Rias said, her expression filled with resignation.
“Hmph, you may think you’re noble, but other factions won’t see it that way. If they find out about Ophis, not only will you become targets, but your families will also be implicated!” Sona scoffed and sneered.
“That’s why we can’t let anyone else know about Ophis’s situation,” Rias responded.
“Sona, we trust you. Will you help us?”
With a trace of cunning in their eyes, both Tenraku and Rias stared at Sona without blinking.
“Do you want me to become your accomplice as well?” Sona’s lips twitched as she realized the true intentions of these two.
“Yes, exactly, that’s it,” Tenraku replied with a mischievous smile, and Rias awkwardly nodded in agreement. Although it felt unfair to trick Sona like this, they had no other choice. They relied on Sona to keep their secret safe.
As Sona looked at the two in front of her, her face turned dark.
