EPHS-Chapter 307 Fist of Faith

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Under the watchful gaze of countless people, Sairaorg began to run. Gone was the exaggerated and fierce Battle Energy; he was simply running now. With every step, blood sprayed from the wounds on his body.

However, at this moment, Sairaorg exuded an unprecedented momentum. Every step he took resonated within people’s hearts.

“Ddraig, Albion, maximum output, channel your power to me.”

Observing the King of Lions sprinting towards him, Tenraku calmly spoke.

“Partner, that guy might end up dying.”

Ddraig’s voice resonated within the jade jewel.

Sairaorg’s injuries were extremely severe. At this point, he was solely relying on his immense faith and determination to persevere.

In truth, this battle had already concluded.

“It’s okay because—”

“This is the greatest respect I can show him!”

Ddraig and Albion fell silent. But not for long. Soon, Tenraku felt a powerful surge of energy emanating from his own body.

He moved as well, advancing towards Sairaorg’s charge.

“Ha!” Sairaorg’s fist struck Tenraku, shattering the armor and causing Tenraku to take a few steps back.

“Ha!” Tenraku’s fist also landed on Sairaorg, blood spraying. Sairaorg’s vision was already becoming blurry.

However, neither of them flinched, and neither fell down.

They were going to continue fighting!

The sky ceased roaring, the earth ceased groaning. The two exchanged blows like regular people in a battle— each punch given, each punch received.

Yet, outside the alternate dimension, the arena remained silent. Everyone watched closely, observing the final duel between these two men.

“Ha… Ha…”

Gasping heavily, Tenraku and Sairaorg charged towards each other once again, leaping into the air simultaneously.

“Kamiya Tenraku!”

“Sairaorg!”

Calling out each other’s names, their fists suddenly glowed with light!

Not any form of magic, just a radiance— a radiance of faith!

Legend had it that when someone channeled all their faith into their fists, they could unleash the Fist of Faith, a punch imbued with an inexplicable power. It was as if invoking a miraculous force, and even to this day, the principles behind it remained inexplicable. But it was real.

In this moment, under the gaze of countless onlookers, both Tenraku and Sairaorg threw punches infused with their respective faiths.

Glowing fists struck each other’s faces. Armor shattered, and both men spewed blood.

However, in that instant—

“Wāāāāā… Okaa-Sama, they all called me worthless, but I’m not worthless! I refuse to be worthless!”

“You are indeed worthless, Sairaorg, a useless person without even Magic Power!”

“Mother… Okaa-Sama…”

“Sairaorg, accept this reality, you’re just a useless waste!”

“But precisely because of that, you have to fight to become stronger, to break free from this cruel curse! You must exert a thousand times more effort than anyone else!”

“Otherwise, you’ll forever remain a waste!”

Strange images flooded Tenraku’s mind— it was a glimpse into Sairaorg’s memories. He was called worthless, bullied by kids his age, and returned home to cry to his mother only to receive harsh reprimands.

Such a pitiable guy, forced to hide in a corner, wiping away tears of sadness.

However, the scene quickly shifted—

“I’m sorry, Sairaorg, I shouldn’t have brought you into this cruel world without Magic Power.”

“I’m sorry, my Sairaorg…”

It seemed that Sairaorg had grown quite a bit. He lay in bed, peacefully asleep, while Madam Misla sat by his side, her eyes brimming with guilt-laden tears.

However, the slumbering Sairaorg suddenly opened his eyes and grabbed his mother’s hand.

“Okaa-Sama, stop crying and wipe away your tears.”

“S-Sairaorg, I… I…”

“From now on, I won’t be weak anymore. I won’t run away. I’ll strive to become stronger than anyone.”

“So, Okaa-Sama, wipe away your tears.”

“Sairaorg, Sairaorg, my Sairaorg!”

“Wū wū wū… I’m sorry, I’m sorry…”

Was this the promise between Sairaorg and his mother? He truly was an admirable guy. A small smile curved at the corner of Tenraku’s mouth.

Meanwhile, Sairaorg was experiencing something similar. Strange images flooded his mind—

“Do you see that? That’s Lord Phenex’s fourth child, the worthless one without Magic Power, who can’t even control flames.”

“Really? He looks so cute. How pitiful.”

“Cute, so what? He’s still a blemish on the Phenex family, a tainted failure with a human bloodline. I can’t understand why Lord Phenex hasn’t gotten rid of them yet.”

“Enough, don’t let that woman hear.”

“Hmph, what are you afraid of? I’m just speaking the truth…”

A beautiful woman walked hand in hand with an adorable little boy down the street. Whispering and pointing followed them from the sidelines…

The little boy enjoyed his lollipop, seemingly unfazed by the whispers. But the woman beside him clenched her fists, her face turning pale.

“Okaa-Sama, you hurt me.”

Looking up, the little boy spoke.

“I’m sorry, little Tenraku. It wasn’t intentional.”

Regaining her senses, the woman quickly lifted the boy up, blowing and rubbing his slightly reddened hand for a while.

“Hey, little Tenraku, how about we live in the Human World?”

“Are you trying to run away?”

“Uh-huh, because I’m a fragile woman, I am not as strong as little Tenraku here.”

“So, little Tenraku, what do you think? Shall we go? Shall we?”

“Okaa-Sama, you hurt me. And, you can just act cute in front of Otou-Sama. You don’t need to do that in front of your own child.”

“Sob… I don’t care. If little Tenraku doesn’t agree, I won’t let go!”

Soon, the scenes in Sairaorg’s mind shifted again. The once beautiful woman was now lying on a sickbed, her pallor indicating the end of her life.

“Little Tenraku, I’m sorry. Okaa-Sama is nearing her limits too.”

“You’ll be okay.”

“You little liar. You used to never tell lies.”

“Remember to eat well every day.”

“I know.”

“Remember to sleep well every day.”

“I know.”

“And, and also, find many beautiful, capable wives to take care of you for me.”

“Sure, for now, I’ll aim for a hundred!”

Studying his Okaa-Sama with an emotionless gaze, little Tenraku eventually nodded.

“I know.”

Tears had unknowingly filled his eyes. The woman gently caressed Tenraku’s cheek, her eyes filled with tenderness and reluctance.

“My precious Tenraku, you don’t need to be restrained by me anymore. Do whatever you want.”

“Whether you seek power or bring ruin to the world, live happily and strongly. I will always be watching over you.”

“I know.”

“Then, farewell, my little Tenraku…”

“Go… goodbye, Okaa-Sama…”

A peaceful smile graced her face as the woman slowly closed her eyes.

Was this Kamiya Tenraku’s story? Sairaorg’s eyes also became moist, and then his consciousness turned into pure whiteness…
