EPHS-Chapter 296 War of Knights Part 2

As the dust settled, the field of vision gradually cleared. Siris, her face pale, propped herself up with the sword while gasping for breath. Meanwhile, Liban Crocell lay amidst a pool of blood, barely conscious.

“A complete turnaround!”

“Ohhhhhhhhh!”

Outside the separate dimension, the host exclaimed, and the excited audience erupted into cheers.

Siris had worried everyone too much. Yubelluna and her companions breathed out a sigh of relief, and Tenraku also displayed a faint smile on his face.

“I apologize for defeating you using such a despicable method.” Looking at the bloodied Liban Crocell, Siris spoke.

“No, it was your powerful will and perfect strategy that caused me to lose.”

“Though you’re young and had defeated me but Beluga’s strength surpasses mine. Keep fighting, Knight Siris. Your battle isn’t over yet…”

Due to his injuries and loss of combat ability, his body was enveloped in a faint light as Liban Crocell was transported out of the separate dimension.

“One Knight of Lord Sairaorg, exit the stage!” Upon hearing the host’s announcement, Siris revealed a revitalized expression.

However, as the opponent had said, their battle wasn’t over yet!

After tending to her injuries, Siris quickly headed toward the other side of the battlefield…

“Liban got taken out, huh? That guy relies too much on his own Sacred Gear’s ability. The weakness is so obvious,” Beluga muttered in the sky while suppressing Karlamine with his sword.

“Altobrau, reinforcements from the other side are coming. Let’s give it our all,” Beluga patted his mount, and the Pale Horse responded with a neigh, gathering magical energy in its mouth to form a fireball that he directed towards Karlamine.

“Oh no!” Cornered by Beluga’s sword, Karlamine had no escape and was hit directly by the fireball.

“Ah!”

With a thunderous boom, flames erupted, and amid the gasps of the crowd, the fireball struck Karlamine, creating a massive crater in the ground.

“I’ve been saying this all along— Pale Horse is a formidable Demonic Beast. Neglecting it while focusing on its Knight can lead to a huge disadvantage,” Azazel said while stroking his chin with a mischievous grin from his VIP seat.

The scene shifted back to the battlefield within the separate dimension—

“Karlamine, are you alright?” Siris swiftly arrived, only to find a disheveled Karlamine amidst the ruins.

“I… I can’t die yet…” Assisted by Siris, Karlamine’s mouth oozed a bit of blood as she spoke.

Although she hadn’t been taken out of the fight by the direct hit from that demonic horse, the blow had left Karlamine severely wounded.

“Allowing both elder sisters to unite is truly a miscalculation. It seems I’m facing a major crisis,” Beluga said while descending from the sky while riding his Pale Horse.

Despite saying something about facing a major crisis, it was difficult to take him seriously seeing the relaxed smile beneath his helmet.

“Siris, this guy’s swordsmanship is quite formidable, and the demonic horse is dangerous too. Be careful,” Karlamine warned.

“Understood!”

Without wasting time on words, Karlamine and Siris conjured their Demonic Sword and Holy Sword, respectively, and charged at Beluga.

“Hahahaha… Altobrau, let’s go!”

With hearty laughter and fierce determination, Beluga spurred his Pale Horse into action.

Clang! Clang! Hong! Hong! Hong!!!

The clash of blades and explosive roars reverberated through the sky and the earth, transforming the battlefield into a contest between the three Knights.

Beluga was Sairaorg’s most exceptional Knight, and with the cooperation of his trusty mount, he was a formidable opponent. However, as the battle raged on, he gradually began to falter against Tenraku’s two Knights.

“We can’t keep this up…”

Muttering to himself, Beluga realized he couldn’t continue like this. Observing the approaching two women, he made a decision.

With a flick of his reins, to the astonishment of Karlamine and Siris, Beluga and his Pale Horse began to split apart, breaking into multiple illusory forms.

“Phantoms?”

Karlamine swung her sword at the nearest Beluga, but the blade passed right through him without any sense of substance.

“It’s not just an illusion, elder sister!”

Another Beluga’s mocking voice came, and he lunged at Karlamine with a sword thrust.

Clang!

Sparks flew, and the immense force made Karlamine’s arm go numb.

Just as Karlamine was preparing to counterattack, the Beluga who had attacked her before split into multiple forms once again.

“This trick, seriously!”

With an annoyed expression, Karlamine and Siris backed against each other, warily keeping an eye on all the Belugas.

Most of them were just illusions, and only one was the Main Body. Yet, illusions and Main Body emitted identical auras, making it impossible to distinguish which was real.

“This is one of my favorite techniques, even Sairaorg-sama wouldn’t be able to tell which one is the real me.”

“Be careful, both elder sisters!” Issuing a warning, all the Belugas, mounted on Pale Horses, charged at the two women.

Clang! Clang!

Unable to discern the Main Body, Karlamine and Siris found themselves frantically parrying without attacking. Soon, their bodies, already covered in wounds, accumulated more injuries.

“Hah… hah… if we continue like this, we’ll be overwhelmed. Siris, I have an idea.”

“Coincidentally, I have an idea too.”

Exchanging a glance, Karlamine and Siris chuckled. It seemed they had the same plan.

“Let’s see whose luck holds out!”

Understanding each other’s intentions, the two women faced the incoming enemies once more. But this time, they didn’t resist or attack; they allowed the enemies to strike them.

“Ah…”

Karlamine cried out in pain as a sword impaled her abdomen.

“Elder sister, why didn’t you dodge?”

Beluga, riding his Pale Horse, looked astonished as he looked at this scene.

“It seems my luck is a bit better. I’ve caught you!” Wearing a cold smile on her face, Karlamine tightly seized Beluga’s arm and shouted:

“Siris!”

It was obvious what Karlamine was trying to do, and the armored Beluga beneath his helmet revealed shock.

“Let go of me, let go, you insane woman!”

“Altobrau, kick her away quickly!”

Despite Beluga’s struggles, Karlamine held onto his arm with an iron grip, not allowing him to escape.

“Demonic Sword Creation – Sword Birth!”

Realizing that Karlamine’s intent was to be captured, Beluga attempted to have his Pale Horse kick her away. However, Karlamine, using the last of her remaining magical power, conjured several Demonic Swords that flew toward the horse.

The Pale Horse neighed in pain, and Beluga grew frantic. Meanwhile, Karlamine wore a cold, bloodthirsty smile—

“It’s over!”

Leaping into the air, with a Holy Sword in hand, Siris struck down towards Beluga, whose face was filled with terror.

“Ah!”
