In the hotel, Tenraku and Kunou emerged from the transmission formation.
“Tenraku-san, are you okay?” Asia immediately ran over upon seeing Tenraku’s return. She had been worried all night since Tenraku asked them to go ahead without him.
“Asia, I’m fine. I’m sorry for making you worry,” Tenraku quickly reassured her. He felt a bit guilty for causing Asia concern while he was enjoying himself.
“Hey, Tenraku, what did Yasaka talk to you about? You even brought this little fox with you,” Azazel’s voice sounded as he teasingly observed Tenraku and Kunou.
“It’s confidential, and it has nothing to do with you,” Tenraku replied dismissively. “Kunou will also be going to Kuoh Town with us. Let’s go. I’ll explain everything when we get home.”
Not wanting to entertain Azazel’s curiosity, Tenraku turned to the girls, including Asia, and urged them to move on. Azazel shrugged, and the girls didn’t ask further questions.
Now that everyone had gathered, including Tenraku, Azazel, and Rossweisse with all the students participating in the School Trip, they boarded the Shinkansen train for the journey back home.
During the trip, there was no conversation. When the group arrived in Kuoh Town, it was already afternoon, close to the end of the school day. Tenraku instructed the girls from the Kendo Club to go home in pairs, and he himself returned with Kunou and the girls from the ORC.
“Tenraku!”
“Tenraku-sama!”
“Onii-chan!”
Upon returning home, Rias, Yubelluna, and the rest of the girls eagerly welcomed Tenraku. Ravel, Nel, and Ile rushed into his arms. Even though he had only been away for a few days, the feeling of being back home brought comfort and nostalgia. Tenraku reassured each of the girls, and Asia and Rossweisse distributed the gifts they had brought.
Pulling the shy Kunou out from behind him, Tenraku introduced her to the girls. “Her name is Kunou, she is Yasaka’s daughter.”
“Cough, she’s also my daughter,” Tenraku added, clearing his throat.
Although he could easily guess the consequences, Tenraku had no intention of hiding the relationship between him and Yasaka from Rias and the others. He believed in being open and honest, and Rias and her friends had the right to know.
“D-Daughter!!!” As expected, Rias and the others were astonished and couldn’t believe it. Even Asia and Rossweisse stood there with wide-open mouths, expressing their disbelief.
How did Kunou become Tenraku-san’s daughter? What kind of situation is this?!
Under Rias’s intense gaze, Tenraku explained his relationship with Yasaka, and only after they learned that Kunou wasn’t his biological daughter did the girls finally breathe a sigh of relief.
If Tenraku had a real biological daughter, that would be terrifying.
“You really have a string of good luck. Wherever you go, you manage to charm beautiful women. This time, you even captured that nine-tailed princess!” Azazel remarked, his voice filled with teasing.
“Ara Ara, as expected of my Tenraku. But Akeno isn’t happy now. What should I do to Tenraku?” Rias said through clenched teeth, while Akeno smiled mischievously.
“Rias, Akeno, how about we discuss this in my room?” Tenraku suggested, feeling the pain in his waist from their teasing.
“Hmph! Why do we have to go to your room? Can’t we talk here?” Rias coldly replied.
“Tenraku, you’re up to no good again. Are you planning to fool us like you did in the past?” Akeno laughed with narrowed eyes.
Seeing that following him into his room would likely lead to them being treated like an animal, Tenraku knew they wouldn’t easily let him off this time. He glanced at Yubelluna and the other girls, silently asking for their help, but they pretended not to notice.
Frustrated, Tenraku felt exasperated, especially with Kuroka, the troublemaker, who was mocking him shamelessly.
“Onii-chan, does everyone not like me?” Kunou tugged at Tenraku’s clothes, her eyes glistening with tears.
“Don’t say such silly things. It’s my fault. How could anyone not like you, Kunou, when you’re so adorable?” Tenraku quickly reassured her, while signaling Rias and Akeno with his eyes.
Though Rias and Akeno held some grievances against Tenraku, they understood the gravity of the situation and temporarily set it aside to comfort Kunou together.
“We all really like Kunou. We just wanted to teach that scoundrel who bullied your Okaa-Sama a lesson,” Rias and Akeno said in unison.
“Kunou-chan, welcome to our family. Consider this place your home,” Rias added.
“Yep, Kunou, you’re a Yōkai, right? Let’s all play together!” the Yubelluna girls chimed in. Ile and Nel, mischievous as they were, played with Kunou’s fluffy tail.
Seeing that everyone didn’t dislike her, Kunou finally showed a relieved expression. However, at that moment…
“Onii-chan, I hate you the most!”
“Wū wū wū…”
Ravel’s voice suddenly erupted with a loud roar, startling everyone. The girl covered her face and ran back to her room.
Tenraku was completely baffled. What on earth had just happened?!!!
“Don’t ask me. Ravel was fine earlier. It must be something you did that upset her,” Rias said with irritation, pointing at Tenraku.
“Tenraku, go check on Ravel quickly,” Akeno suggested, her face filled with concern.
Ravel was the princess of the household, always well-behaved and polite, and everyone loved her. Although they didn’t know why Ravel suddenly became so angry, the girls were genuinely worried.
Throughout their time together, Ravel had never shown anger towards Tenraku. He sighed inwardly, feeling a pang of guilt. Perhaps he had been neglecting Ravel lately.
“You girls take care of Kunou’s belongings. I’ll go see what’s going on with Ravel,” Tenraku instructed the girls, then walked up to Ravel’s door.
“Ravel, it’s me. Open the door,” he knocked on the girl’s room and called out, but there was no response from Ravel. The door remained tightly locked.
That girl was really holding a grudge against him.
Shaking his head helplessly, Tenraku used his Spirit Qi to destroy the lock on the door and entered Ravel’s room.
