Catching the scepter Azazel threw, Tenraku couldn’t help but examine it. It was about a meter long, adorned with exquisite runes along its shaft. At one end, there was a pink bud, with emerald leaves underneath. What surprised him was that both the bud and the leaves were alive, as if they were growing on the scepter itself!
“What is this?” Tenraku asked, his eyes shimmering with curiosity.
“This is the Sacred Gear, Aqua’s Divine Scepter, the weapon of the legendary Goddess of Water, Aqua. If this Sacred Gear is developed to its fullest, you can even obtain the abilities of the Goddess of Water, Aqua,” Azazel explained, wearing an expression of pain as if it cost him a fortune.
“This is a high-quality item, and I’m giving you a good deal, kid.”
“But doesn’t it look like something meant for women?” Tenraku retorted.
“Don’t you have any women in your harem who excel in water magic? By utilizing the same water magic, this thing can amplify the power of magic several times over!”
Seeing that Tenraku, the greedy guy, still seemed unsatisfied, Azazel grumbled irritably.
Smirking sheepishly, Tenraku didn’t press the matter further. As Azazel had said, it was indeed a nice Sacred Gear, although not quite suitable for Tenraku himself. However, he could give it to Undine; as the Water Elf Queen, she was the most fitting candidate for this Sacred Gear.
“Odin-Sama, shouldn’t you also show some appreciation? After all, I’m mainly helping you resolve your troubles,” Tenraku said, collecting Aqua’s Divine Scepter and giving a mischievous smile to the old man Odin.
“You old man, I’ve even brought out a Sacred Gear. You can’t be stingy,” Azazel chimed in with an evil grin on his face.
The old man Odin, who had just tried to extort them, became agitated. “You little devils, I don’t have anything, absolutely nothing!”
He sniffed and glared, shaking his head continuously.
“Odin-Sama, please don’t be so modest. Your Gungnir, the Spear of Eternity, looks impressive,” Tenraku said with a suggestive tone.
“Oye, Oye! That’s my life, you might as well take my old life!” Odin bellowed angrily, his temper flaring up.
“Hahaha… I was just kidding,” Tenraku laughed, knowing that Gungnir was important to Odin. He was just teasing the old man.
It wasn’t every day that one could tease the Lord of the Gods of Northern Europe and get away with it. Azazel finally felt a bit of satisfaction since he had been threatened earlier.
“You have some conscience, kid,” Odin said, his expression softening slightly as he scolded Tenraku.
Although Tenraku’s intentions were indeed to resolve Odin’s troubles, both Sirzechs and Azazel had given their approval. If he didn’t offer something in return, it would be hard to justify his actions.
Lost in thought, Odin suddenly brightened up.
“Tenraku, you really like beautiful women, don’t you?”
“Well, they’re okay. After all, as a young man, I have abundant energy,” Tenraku replied, feeling a bit awkward as the old man suddenly brought up beautiful women.
“Hey, hey… kid, what do you think of Rossweisse?”
“She’s not bad. Rossweisse is beautiful and has a good demeanor. Although she’s a bit old-fashioned in her personality, there are certain aspects of her that are quite lovely.”
“Ohhh… I didn’t expect you to hold Rossweisse in such high regard, young man. Not bad, not bad.”
“Tenraku, as long as you help us resolve Loki’s troubles, we can arrange something with Rossweisse…”
Whispering in Tenraku’s ear, Odin murmured for a while.
“Um, Odin-Sama, Rossweisse has always been dedicated to serving as your guardian. Isn’t it a bit unfair to sell her off like this?” Tenraku couldn’t help but give Odin a disdainful look, despite feeling somewhat tempted by his proposal. This old man’s conscience is truly rotten to the core.
“Nonsense, how could I sell Rossweisse? I’m doing this for her own good!” Odin retorted.
“With her conservative personality, she can’t even find a boyfriend. Keeping her by my side would be a waste of her youth and talent. So, I reluctantly made this decision for her sake. You little brat, don’t misunderstand me,” Odin explained with a stern expression that almost convinced Tenraku.
‘For her own good, huh? I think you simply want to free yourself from Rossweisse’s control so that you can freely ogle beautiful girls in the future. You’re incorrigible!’ Tenraku silently looked down on Odin as h thought in his heart while despising him a hundred thousand times over. But the proposal did spark some interest in him, so he decided not to expose Odin’s true intentions.
“Odin-Sama, I misunderstood you. I didn’t realize how magnanimous you are,” Tenraku said, pretending to be impressed.
“Hmph, as long as you know, you little brat.”
“I’ve given you an opportunity. Whether you can seize it or not depends on your own abilities,” Odin remarked.
“Of course, I will do my best,” Tenraku replied.
Two figures, one a mighty God King and the other a rising star, Tenraku and the old man Odin, reached a “Dirty” deal through their exchange of words. Sirzechs and Azazel, who were watching from the sidelines, couldn’t help but facepalm at their embarrassing conversation. They decided to pretend they hadn’t heard anything.
With the decision made to have Tenraku deal with Loki, Sirzechs, under the title of Demon King, instructed Rias and Sona’s peerages to join the battle. On Odin’s side, Rossweisse was chosen as their representative.
All the women possessed considerable strength, but they would primarily serve as assistants. The true powerhouse was still Tenraku.
The God of Mischief Loki, the demonic wolf Fenrir, and possibly other formidable opponents made this battle unlike any other. Even Tenraku couldn’t afford to be careless.
In the following days, Tenraku and the women didn’t attend school. Instead, they focused on preparing for the upcoming battle. While they didn’t expect significant power gains in just a few days, they aimed to maintain their peak condition.
After several days, the day of the divine summit finally arrived. As the sun set behind the western mountains, darkness enveloped Kuoh Town.
A high-end hotel, chosen as the meeting place for the gods, was heavily guarded by layers of barriers. Angels, Fallen Angels, Devils, and powerful servants of the gods patrolled the area, ensuring maximum security.
“Tenraku-Kun, Rias, we’re counting on you,” Sirzechs instructed, then entered the meeting venue with Grayfia and the attending gods.
Observing the gloomy sky, Tenraku’s expression grew serious. “Let’s get ready.”
