EPHS-Chapter 224 Return

“Lord Tenraku!” Ile and Nel ran out of the classroom and jumped onto Tenraku while shouting his name.

“Let’s go home.” Tenraku rubbed the cheeks of the two Loli girls and smiled as he spoke.

Since Ile and Nel were in a lower grade, they were assigned to the middle school section, so Tenraku and the others would often come to pick them up after club activities to go home together.

As usual, everyone chatted and laughed along the way. Ile and Nel enthusiastically told Tenraku about their day at school, such as pranks they played on a sensei, some girls wanting to be their little sisters and annoying boys confessing to them. Tenraku listened with a mixture of amusement and exasperation.

These two little troublemakers were mischievous at home, let alone at school. Sona even complained to Tenraku once, saying that they had gathered a group of little loli girls who caused chaos in the middle school section and asked him to control his own peerage.

“Don’t cause trouble at school for everyone.” Tenraku lightly tapped the heads of the two Loli girls as he spoke.

“Okay…” The two sisters obediently replied like well-behaved children.

Although they promised beautifully, Tenraku knew very well that they were just appeasing him. When they got to school, they would do whatever mischief they wanted. Tenraku was somewhat troubled by these two mischievous little loli girls, but he let it slide.

As long as they didn’t cause any trouble, they could play however they liked.
The distance from Kuoh Academy to the Kamiya Family wasn’t far, so it didn’t take long for Tenraku and the girls to arrive home. However, just as they were about to reach home…

“A dimensional disturbance?!” The surrounding pedestrians and buildings suddenly disappeared, and the whole world became dim. Tenraku and the girls instantly entered a battle-ready state.

“Red Dragon Emperor and all the esteemed misses, greetings.” A voice echoed out in the surrounding, and Tenraku and the girls looked towards the source, only to see two figures floating in the air.

It was Bikou and a golden-haired man wearing glasses!

“Bikou, I didn’t expect you to survive under those circumstances. I must admit, I’m quite surprised,” Tenraku said with narrowed eyes and with a smiling expression on his face.

Tenraku knew better than anyone how powerful his strike with the Heavenly Pillar was. Under normal circumstances, that monkey should have been obliterated and had no chance of survival!

“Ohhh… my life is harder than a rock. That level of attack can’t kill me,” Bikou boasted proudly while carrying a gold-banded stick.

“Is that so? Then who almost got taken out last time and was saved by me in the end?” The one speaking this time was the golden-haired man next to Bikou. He pushed up his glasses and spoke disdainfully.

“Arthur, can’t you give me a break?!” Bikou yelled in frustration, feeling exposed.

Ignoring the monkey’s desperate attempt to save some of his already shattered pride, the golden-haired man looked down at Tenraku and the girls below. Then, he gracefully performed a knightly greeting as he spoke.

“Nice to meet you all. I am Arthur Pendragon. A pleasure to make your acquaintance.”

“Pendragon… Could it be the King of Knights?!” Rias and the girls seemed surprised by the self-proclaimed Arthur Pendragon and it was as if they had realized something.

“Yes, my ancestor was indeed the King of Knights, Arthur Pendragon, and this sword is the Holy King Sword – Caliburn!” Arthur confirmed, nodding, as he drew a longsword emitting a Holy Light from his waist.

Not only Rias and the girls but even Tenraku took notice of it.

The Holy King Sword – Caliburn, also known as the Sword in the Stone, is a legendary weapon said to be capable of cleaving even space itself!

No wonder Bikou survived in such dire circumstances. With this person’s help, everything made sense.

“So, what business do you have in stopping us? Are you here to avenge Bikou?” Tenraku asked.

“I have no intention of being your enemy, nor do I seek revenge for Bikou,” Arthur replied.

“Hmph, even though I suffered a great loss last time, I will definitely seek revenge against you. But I will handle it on my own and won’t stoop to such shameless actions. I have someone else in mind for this encounter,” Bikou sneered, while Teraku let out a light hum.

“Someone else?” Tenraku furrowed his brow when he heard Bikou’s words. Just then, a magic array unfolded in the sky, and a figure emerged from within. Seeing the newcomer, Tenraku couldn’t help but smile as he spoke.

“Oh, it’s you, Vali!”

In the sky, Vali stared coldly at Tenraku below.

“Here we meet again, Vali. I heard from Azazel that you managed to escape last time. I didn’t expect you to join the Khaos Brigade as well. The battle between the two Heavenly Dragons has ended, so why are you appearing before me now?” Facing Vali’s gaze, Tenraku asked.

“The battle between the two Heavenly Dragons may have ended, but our fight is far from over!”

Vali spoke with a cold expression on his face as an imposing aura emanated from him.

“Oye, Oye, Vali. Although I understand the frustration of a loser, someone who clings on even after losing is quite repulsive. Even with the power of the White Dragon Sovereign, you couldn’t defeat me. Do you think you have any hope with your current state?”

Dangerous glints flickered in Tenraku’s eyes as he sarcastically smirked.

Even for the usually proud Vali, being mocked like this would usually provoke anger. However, to Tenraku’s surprise, Vali remained remarkably calm.

“Indeed, losing the power of Albion was a great setback for me. But in order to defeat you, I awakened a completely new power!”

“A completely new power?”

“Now, let me show you!”

With a cold smile on his face, Vali activated a magic array. Suddenly, a barrage of countless Light Arrows shot down toward Tenraku and the girls below.

“Spread out!”

Shouting loudly, Tenraku and the girls leaped into the air. As a series of explosive sounds echoed, the ground they had been standing on turned into a wasteland.

A cold gleam flashed in Tenraku’s eyes as he became infuriated. Instantly, he unleashed the power of his Artifact – Sacred Gear, the Demonic Sword Creation.

“Forbidden Move – Unlimited Blade Works!”

Countless swirling vortexes appeared in the air, and sharp Demonic Swords shot out like a torrent, fiercely attacking Vali and his companions in the sky.

“Why are you attacking us too?” Bikou’s scalp tingled as he yelled, but he didn’t dare to be careless. He swiftly wielded his Ruyi Stick, deflecting the incoming Demonic Swords like a windmill.

On the other side, Arthur Pendragon also took action. With a fierce and imposing aura emanating from him, he unsheathed his Longsword and swung it forcefully into the empty space ahead.

“Holy King Sword – Caliburn!”

The void was directly cleaved open, creating a massive rift. The incoming Demonic Swords flew into the rift and disappeared simultaneously.

Compared to Bikou and Arthur, more than half of the Demonic Swords were aimed at Vali. However, Vali neither activated any magic nor dodged it. He simply stared expressionlessly at the Demonic Swords flying toward him.

“Disappear…”

His lips curled into a slight smirk as he spoke and then an invisible ripple spread out from Vali as the Demonic Swords in the sky shattered one after another with explosive sounds.

To be continued…
