“Supreme Kai? What’s that?” Trunks looked puzzled.
As soon as Trunks finished speaking, Kibito on the side exclaimed, “You fool! Supreme Kai is above the four Kai’s who govern the universe. He is responsible for creating planets and maintaining the balance in the universe. He is the most powerful god! How dare you, a mere mortal, be so disrespectful? You should immediately…”
“Enough, Kibito. This is a time of emergency, we don’t need to worry about formalities,” interrupted Supreme Kai Shin before Kibito could finish.
Then, Shin turned to Trunks and said, “Trunks, let’s get straight to the point. We are here this time because of Dr. Gero and his Android army!”
Shin narrowed his eyes and continued, “To put it simply, we are enemies of Dr. Gero. And as the saying goes, ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend.’ Trunks, we don’t have any malicious intentions.”
Trunks stared intently into Shin’s eyes and after a moment, he let down his guard.
“Alright, I believe you. So, Supreme Kai-sama, why have you come looking for me?”
Shin nodded and said, “Trunks, I know you have been fighting against Dr. Gero for a long time.”
“Normally, matters in the mortal realm are not my concern. But Dr. Gero and his Androids have now become a serious threat to the balance of the universe. If left unchecked, it is likely that all life forms in the universe will be transformed into Dr. Gero’s Androids in the near future.”
“So, not long ago, Kibito and I decided to intervene in the war in the mortal realm. But unfortunately, we didn’t anticipate that the strength of Dr. Gero’s Androids would be on par with Majin Buu who once wreaked havoc in the universe in ancient times. With just the two of us, we can only launch surprise attacks on their bases. As for their main facility, Big Gete Star, we are unable to deal with it.”
Trunks furrowed his brow. He had thought that the other person who claimed to be Supreme Kai could be of some help, but it seemed that wasn’t the case.

“For that reason, I and my Attendant Kibito have decided to seek out other warriors in the universe who have the ability to fight against the Androids. And my first choice among them is you, Saiyan Prince Trunks!”
Trunks replied, “Thank you for your recognition, Supreme Kai-sama. I am willing to contribute in the fight against the Androids, but I also know that I cannot be of much help at the moment. However, if you can give me one year, I believe I can make a difference!”
“One year?” Shin exchanged a surprised glance with Kibito.
“Trunks, what do you plan to do within one year?”
“Well, it’s like this…” WIthout any suspicions, Trunks proceeded to explain his journey to another world using the time machine, hoping to instill more confidence in them. But little did he know that playing with time was a grave offense.
Kibito immediately jumped up, angrily saying, “You audacious mortal! Do you know what you’ve done? Manipulating time is a serious crime!”
“What?” Trunks was taken aback.
“You humans are beyond redemption. First, you tamper with life, and now you want to play with time? Supreme Kai-sama, this guy can’t be trusted. We should find someone else!”
“Wait!” Shin stopped Kibito. “Perhaps the situation is not as we thought. Kibito, go to the Sacred World of the Kai and bring me the Time Ring!”
“Time Ring? I understand,” nodded Kibito, and he disappeared from the spot.
Trunks was momentarily stunned.
“I never expected that humans could create something like this… You truly are impressive,” said Shin with a faint smile.
“Supreme Kai-sama, what are you…”
“Let’s wait until Kibito returns with the item.”
After a while, Kibito returned holding a box. Shin casually took it, opened it, and glanced inside before saying, “Just as I suspected. Kibito, take a look.”
Kibito took the box and glanced inside. “Huh? There’s only one Time Ring?”
“That’s right. It means there haven’t been any parallel worlds created. Trunks was correct in saying that his time machine is not strictly a time machine but a device for leaping to parallel worlds. The world he traveled to is completely disconnected from our own world. Therefore, it has no impact on our own world.”
After explaining, Shin looked at Trunks and smiled, “In that case, if Trunks can truly become stronger within a year, I think we can let him give it a try.”
“One year, we can wait.” Trunks breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing Supreme Kai agree to his proposal.
Next, the three of them headed to the storage facility where the time machine was kept.
Even Supreme Kai was quite curious about this miraculous device created by humans.

Bulma, Trunks’ mother, was actually an Android in disguise!
The real Bulma had been captured by Dr. Gero’s Android army long ago when Trunks had traveled to Lin Chen’s world!
“How… How is this possible? Supreme Kai-sama, you must be mistaken!”
“There’s no mistake! This imposter doesn’t have the aura of a living being. Trunks, if you pay close attention, you’ll notice it too!”
Trunks was stunned upon hearing Shin’s words. He had indeed failed to sense Bulma’s aura, but he always thought it was because Bulma was a normal person with a weak aura. He never imagined she was an Android!
The Android disguised as Bulma originally planned to ambush Trunks but unexpectedly discovered the secret of the time machine instead.
For the past few days, she had been analyzing and deciphering the structure of the time machine.
“Hehehe, not even aware that your own mother was switched out. Trunks, you truly are a foolish boy. With your current state, do you really think you can resist Dr. Gero? While you were ignorant of everything, Bulma has most likely been completely transformed into an Android by Dr. Gero!”

Trunks was unharmed by the Android’s self-destruction.
But Bulma’s capture dealt a severe blow to Trunks mentally, and almost at the same time, the Android army that had been lying in ambush on Earth resumed their attack.
Seeing the situation unfold, Supreme Kai Shin took Trunks and left Earth.
Before departing, he also took some materials related to the time machine from the scene.
Because he suspected that those materials might be the last hope for this world.
