A deep growl emanated from Lairon’s mouth as a pure white glow gradually enveloped its body.
The short figure gradually grew taller, and its lizard-like posture transformed into the figure of a dinosaur. As the radiance dissipated, a bipedal behemoth was standing before him.
“Aggrrron!”
It was Iron Armor-Pokémon Aggron, the final evolution form of Aron. In the world of pirates, Haki is a power of the mind, and Pokémon evolution was also closely tied to one’s mind.
When their physical conditions meet the requirements, the power of the mind could cause evolution to occur early. Lairon evolved in order to achieve its goal.
Aggron’s entire body was encased in tough armor. A pointed horn extended from its forehead, and two pairs of holes adorned its forehead, with two long horns protruding from the front holes.
Both upper and lower jaws were composed of silver-white metal, revealing sharp tooth-like protrusions at the corners of its mouth.
Each limb was wrapped in silver steel rings for enhanced defense, and its front limbs had transformed into sturdy arms.
Its once short, stubby tail had grown into a long, thick, black tail.
Due to its continuous consumption of Drunken Iron Ore, red cloud patterns adorned its silver-white armor, giving Aggron a more frightening appearance.
A typical Aggron stood at around two meters in height. However, this particular Aggron enjoys abundant food, and its consumption of high-quality Drunken Iron Ore has endowed it with a much stronger physique. Even its evolved size is more than double that of an ordinary Aggron.
Combined with its inherent Heavy Metal ability, it has left two deep footprints in the ground.
Boom! Boom!
The clash of fists resonated with metallic booms as Aggron charged at Arzak.
This was Arzak’s first encounter with Pokémon evolution, and the immense transformation left him momentarily perplexed, but he knew he was in deep trouble.
Dealing with that Lizard-like monster earlier had already taken a considerable toll on him. Now, the Lizard-like monster had transformed into a Dinosaur-like monster. Both in terms of size and appearance, Aggron appeared much more terrifying than Lairon.
Arzak tried the same tactic again, thrusting the drill in his hand towards the hole next to Aggron’s eye. He had noticed that the ventilation holes on Aggron’s body were its only weak points.
However, things are different now; Aggron has acquired two hands.
Three claws enveloped in a metallic glow, Aggron used the metal claws on both its hands to swat away the drill, then it charged at him.
Covered in steel armor, Aggron was like a heavy tank, and their collision left Arzak at a disadvantage. He hadn’t yet grasped the severity of the situation when the drill-shaped hands thrusted at Aggron again.
Aggron didn’t dodge or block; instead it reached out and grabbed Arzak’s drill. Sparks flew as Aggron’s strength stopped the drill’s rotation.
“What?!”
It wasn’t that Arzak didn’t want to continue spinning the drill; it was that Aggron’s strength made it impossible. To Arzak’s astonishment, Aggron lifted him off the ground.
“Aggrrron!”
After tossing him into the air, Aggron’s bulky body surprisingly leaped up. Its long, thick tail gleamed with a metallic sheen as it swung its iron tail like a baseball bat, sending Arzak flying.
Just as the saying goes, “When it rains, it pours.” Arzak found himself landing on a pile of rocks. These rocks were none other than the raw Seastone ore excavated from underground, sapping his strength in an instant.
Before he could even climb out, Aggron’s Hyper Beam had fully charged. The deadly beam of light shot toward him, and being sprawled on the Seastone ore, he was powerless to dodge it.
Even though Aggron’s physical attack is much more powerful than its Special Attack, the Hyper Beam it unleashed created a gaping hole in his chest. However, after dealing with Arzak, Aggron didn’t stop.
It knew that only by ending the battle could others have the time to treat its Breeder. With a burst of speed, Aggron’s colossal body charged toward the Oniwabanshu’s ninja and prisoner pirates.
The Steel-type move, Heavy Slam, deals more damage the heavier the user is compared to the opponent. With its enormous weight and Heavy Metal Ability, Aggron erupted out with its war machine potential.
The weapons of the ninja might have been effective against humans, but they were utterly helpless against Aggron, who was covered in special alloy.
The current Aggron was like a heavy tank that had entered the Japanese battlefield, leaving the enemies with no option but to flee.
Neither kunais nor shurikens had any effect. Without the skill to cut iron, ordinary people didn’t even stand a chance to scratch Aggron’s surface.
The evolved Aggron further turned the tide of the Udon stone quarry, quickly putting an end to the prison break operation.
Similar situations were happening elsewhere. Besides the Udon mining site, Onigashima was the Beasts Pirates’ main stronghold, and the group there was led by samurai.
The elite forces of the Beasts Pirates were gathered at the Flower Capital, leaving Onigashima sparsely guarded. To the samurai, this was an opportunity. They didn’t take ships but chose to swim across.
Several groups of samurai landed on Onigashima with only their katanas. They didn’t see any pirates around; it seemed like there were very few people on Onigashima. However, they did encounter a yellow creature.
The Electivire from the power plant had been waiting for them for quite some time.
“Zzzt.”
Electric currents flashed across Electivire’s body, and then the people soaked in seawater experienced the might of a hundred thousand volts.
These samurai hadn’t all landed in one place, so there were inevitably some who managed to approach the buildings on Onigashima without a hitch. Rotom didn’t attack but instead opened the gates, and a somewhat old-looking woman emerged from within.
“Hey, old lady, move aside. This isn’t where you’re supposed to be.”
“Oh my, even though I haven’t joined them, this is still where I work. You can’t just come here and cause trouble.”
Former World Pirates’ officer, now employed by the Beasts Pirates as an herbalist, Nightin.
Though she appeared somewhat old, she had faced off against the Pirate Empress in combat after rejuvenating herself through medication at the age of eighty. Among female pirates, she was considered a formidable figure.
“Moreover, didn’t your mothers teach you to show some respect for a woman’s age? Kampo Kenpo Technique: Clove Kick!”
Nightin didn’t even use the secret method of rejuvenation; she charged at the group of samurai alone. Despite being a ship’s doctor, her time on the World’s ship made her quite skilled in combat.
