Although anger could help him unleash greater strength, it couldn’t bridge the strength disparity. If anger alone could defeat Kaido, then Kaido would have lost countless times.
Ashura Doji’s attempt to stop him would have been futile if it weren’t for Kaido wanting to train Yamato in the future. Ashura Doji could have only bought a few seconds at most.

And so, Ashura Doji met his end at Kaido’s hands. Compared to the original timeline where he survived in Wano for twenty more years, only to meet his demise in the explosion, this was a more fitting end.
Queen’s relentless bombardment had already knocked down Fugetsu Omusubi. Under the supervision of the Boss, Olga no longer wasted time and defeated Uzuki Tempura. Elizabeth’s battle had also ended quickly. Only King continued to battle Shimotsuki Ushimaru for training purpose.
Seeing this, Kaido didn’t intervene in King’s fight but instead turned his gaze to Shayna, who had just descended from the third floor.
“Where’s Arceus? Still dealing with Kurozumi Orochi?”
“No, Lord sacred beast left this place long ago to be by Miss Yamato’s side. Kurozumi Orochi was taken care of a while back.”
“As I suspected.”
Since arriving here, he hadn’t sensed Arceus’ presence. At that moment, he had a rough idea, and now it seemed to be true.
“How did Orochi die?”
“Well, due to his Devil Fruit ability, he had more than one life, so he experienced many deaths.”
As a Mythical Zoan-type devil fruit, Snake-Snake Fruit, Model: Yamata-no-Orochi wasn’t that weak. However, its user happened to be weak.
Besides granting the user of Yamata no Orochi the ability to have eight lives, he hadn’t developed any other abilities associated with the Mythical Zoan. So for Arceus, it was just a matter of killing him a few more times.
“Worororo, his ability does seem convenient when you look at it this way. At least, he fulfilled his purpose. Now, everyone, it’s time to end this war! I want to see a new Wano before dawn!”
“Ohhh!” Kozuki Oden’s death had boosted the Beasts Pirates’ morale. Kaido didn’t attack those foot soldiers; he simply watched his subordinates fight them. However, their high spirits already displayed an aura of inevitable victory.
“Mr. Kaido, as per Lord sacred beast’s request, I’ll go handle other matters.”
“Go ahead, do as you see fit.”
“Olga, come with me.”
Shayna, accompanied by Olga, began to proceed according to the earlier plan, while Kaido headed in a different direction.
Now, let’s rewind time to when Kaido and Kozuki Oden’s battle had just begun not long ago. Thunder and flames had opened up a clear path for Arceus, and no matter what Kurozumi Orochi tried, he couldn’t escape from Arceus’ grasp.
“Why, how did I offend you?”
Cornered and facing certain death, Orochi still couldn’t understand. These people had wanted to kill him since the first meeting. He had cooperated with the Beasts Pirates in Wano for so many years, yet they showed no mercy.
“Deceiving me regarding the plate is an unforgivable crime. You didn’t think a mere empty shell of a plate would deceive me, did you?”
It was only at this moment that Orochi finally understood where the root of the problem lay. However, even without this incident, his fate would have been the same. Even if there was only Kaido, he would never willingly be a mere collaborator. Only by completely controlling Wano Country could the full potential of Wano Country be realized.
He didn’t bother with idle talk to Orochi. With a casual stomp, a row of rock spikes shot towards Kurozumi Orochi. Although Kurozumi Higurashi had been sent away by him, Kurozumi Semimaru still remained by his side. Orochi valued his own life greatly.
A barrier appeared to block Arceus’ Stone Edge, giving Kurozumi Orochi some confidence.
“Hahaha, you can’t kill me! With this Barrier-Barrier Fruit, not even that madman Kozuki Oden could break through the barrier!”
But reality shattered his confidence in less than 10 seconds. The next moment, he heard a scream as Kurozumi Semimaru was engulfed in flames, transforming into a fiery figure.
Breaking through the barrier of Barrier-Barrier fruit itself was extremely challenging, but he could bypass it to eliminate Kurozumi Semimaru.
The Barrier-Barrier fruit only blocked attacks; air could still pass through it, or else those inside would suffocate in no time. This indicates that energy can also pass through the barrier, and Arceus has the ability to launch attacks which can pass through the barrier.
After Kurozumi Semimaru’s death, there was no one left to maintain the barrier for Kurozumi Orochi.
He had no interest in listening to someone begging for mercy, so the flame vortex didn’t disappear after killing Kurozumi Semimaru. Instead, it continued to expand, encompassing Kurozumi Orochi within its range.
The charred Orochi appeared to be truly dead, lying motionless on the ground. However, this trick couldn’t deceive Arceus. His once life-saving ability had become his greatest liability at this moment.
What a regular person would only experience once, Orochi endured a total of eight times. After being struck by attacks of eight different types, Kurozumi Orochi finally vanished from this world. Following this, Arceus paid no attention to the ongoing battle within the palace and instead proceeded outward.
Outside the Flower Capital, where Yamato was located, the Beasts Pirates and the samurai were engaged in a fierce street battle.
However, unlike ordinary protection, the Beasts Pirates’ intended protectee was at the forefront. Those samurai couldn’t withstand Takeru’s attacks.
Nearby Gifters gradually arrived, and finally, with Mandrell leading an elite team, the stalemate was broken. Upon seeing that the situation here was now firmly under the control of the Beasts Pirates, Arceus left this place without any worry.
The battle in Wano Country was not limited to these areas. In the Hakumai region, fights had erupted as well. However, the primary combatants weren’t samurai but thugs. With the onset of the great battle, many previously dormant thugs in Wano now took advantage of the chaos.
Many merchants fell victim to looting, but these actions didn’t satisfy them. The wealthiest group in Wano Country was undoubtedly the Beasts Pirates.
They didn’t dare to enter the Flower Capital but set their sights on the Beasts Pirates Pokémon Center. Here, they experienced the terror of what was known as the “Pink Demon.”
