Kaido was surprisingly excited by the fires of war everywhere. He unleashed a Blast Breath towards the palace below. Even though his officers were inside, he believed they were capable of handling the aftermath.
However, Kaido’s attack didn’t destroy the entire palace because Oden countered it. Despite becoming more naive after going out to sea, in the current Wano, he was still among the top three strongest.
“Oden’s Two-Sword Style: Bishamon!” [TN: This technique is not there in canon.]
Enma and Ame no Habakiri seemed to entwine with water currents, slicing Kaido’s Blast Breath into two halves. Though Oden couldn’t fly, he leaped into the air using his incredible jumping power.
“Kaido, are you really unwilling to leave here voluntarily?”
“At a time like this, you’re still saying such foolish things. Is this what you learned from Roger and Newgate?”
These were people he had encountered during the Rocks era. He acknowledged Roger and Whitebeard as strong, but he also considered them naive. However, it now seems that Kozuki Oden has surpassed them.
“Well, I guess there’s no other way…” Oden enveloped his arms in thick Haki, and also coated Enma and Ame no Habakiri with powerful Haki. Although Enma had turned into a black sword, it didn’t affect him much even though Enma placed significant demands on its wielder.
This sword would indiscriminately release its user’s Armament Haki, which could unleash tremendous power. However, if not wielded skillfully, it could cut off more than intended, draining the user’s Haki.
Releasing Haki also required stamina, and the result could be exhaustion to the point of death. As the famous sword crafted by Shimotsuki Kozaburo before leaving Wano, Kozuki Oden was the only one who had tamed it.
While Kozuki Oden and Kaido began their battle, Queen crawled up from the ground.
“Damn ba*tard, someone actually poisoned me.”
He did have an internal detoxification mechanism, but cyborgs have one flaw: the mechanical modified devices have a certain chance of malfunctioning. Just now, his antidote dispenser jammed, causing his body to become stiff. That’s when the other party took advantage of the opportunity to kick him out.
His opponent was Kibi’s Daimyo Fugetsu Omusubi, a short and stout samurai. The daimyos of Wano Country were not weak, and although Shimotsuki Yasuie was somewhat lacking in strength, the remaining three were seasoned swordsmen.
Cutting through metal was a basic skill for them. Queen’s expression wasn’t great as he looked at his nearly severed mechanical hand, and of course, there was another reason—the mocking voices in his ears.

Since Queen gradually developed a resistance to Shayna’s swearing, Shayna learned something new—sarcastic remarks. She found that this inflicted greater damage on Queen.
“Don’t underestimate me!” Under the verbal assault of his own people, Queen shifted into Human-Beast Form, fully activating his self-modified equipment, and charged back at Fugetsu Omusubi.
In the sky, the battle between Kaido and Kozuki Oden had just begun, with Kaido still in his dragon form.
For Zoan-type Devil Fruit users, Human-Beast form was the strongest state, unless they were facing special targets. Otherwise, both beast form and human form carry a feeling of disdain.
“I never expected you to dance for so many years. I thought you’d stop after a few days. I can’t believe you’ve been so persistent. Did you really think I would look down on you because of this thing?”
“Were we discovered right from the beginning…”
“Yes, indeed. If this were any other country, we might have already completed our rule. Unfortunately, this is Wano Country, and the people here have an inexplicable reverence for your Kozuki family. I should thank you for tarnishing your own reputation.”
“It seems today is the final battle.”
He didn’t think the other side would kindly explain these things to him. Uttering these words was probably just an attempt to shake his heart.
“Yes, the best Oden is the dead Oden. But don’t worry, the blame for this will fall on Kurozumi Orochi, so you can consider it as revenge for your father’s murder.”
Several wind blades were spat out by Kaido towards Oden, countering the other with his flying slash attack.
“I have one more question. Why didn’t you choose to rule through terror? With Orochi’s name and your strength, there’s no need for any soft approach, is there?”
“I don’t like this kind of thing, but others do. I don’t care either, and it’s better this way. So, I listened to him. Kozuki Oden, since you’ve been dancing for five years, I’ll let you see some other dance.”
Saying this, Kaido’s colossal body began to twist, his dragon-like form faintly visible amidst the clouds. He unleashed the new move which he learned after Draco Plate was found- Dragon Dance.
The power of Dragon-Type Pokémon is closely related to Dragon Dance, with the exception of certain Ground-type Pokémon that can’t use Dragon Dance. However, those that can’t use Dragon Dance are strong enough on their own.
Compared to Swords Dance, which only boosts Attack, Dragon Dance, while slightly less potent in terms of Attack increase, also simultaneously boosts Speed.
After the Dragon Dance, Kaido didn’t appear to have changed much, but Kozuki Oden’s Observation Haki sensed a dangerous aura emanating from him.
Following that, Kaido’s massive body rushed toward him at an incredible speed. After obtaining the Draco Plate, the one who benefited the most was Arceus himself, followed by Kaido.
Although he hadn’t been modified, and using Pokémon abilities consumed a bit more energy, that was inconsequential given his stamina. The reason he hasn’t received modifications is because there are certain distinctions between Legendary Pokémon and regular Pokémon.
However, it didn’t matter. The dragon-type move boosted Kaido’s strength by more than one level. A bluish-green light gleamed on his right claw as the Dragon’s Claw reached out toward Kozuki Oden.
“Dragon Claw!”
Kozuki Oden hadn’t expected that after that so-called dance, Kaido’s speed would directly increase by a level. Faced with the sudden giant claw, he only had time to raise his twin swords before being struck down to the ground.
Under the immense impact, a deep trench was left on the ground, and Oden began to regard Kaido with greater seriousness.; this was probably the strongest enemy he had encountered in his life.
Kaido swooped down from the sky, but Kozuki Oden was no weakling. He slightly retracted his twin swords and swung them towards Kaido in a drawing sword posture.
“Oden’s Two-Sword Style: Paradise Waterfall!”
Kozuki Oden’s arms burst forth with unimaginable strength. The claw Kaido swung from above was actually deflected by him, and he even had enough strength left to strike at Kaido’s body. However, his blade was blocked by a transparent barrier.
