APJ Chapter 270 Temporary musician on the Genesis

This incident eventually evolved into a slave escape incident. The slaves in the slave market were baffled by what was happening; they only knew that keys to their collars and cells had suddenly appeared before them.

After they unlocked their locks, a raging fire erupted out here. No one was willing to sit by and wait for death; this was a rare chance for them.

The escaping slaves raised quite a bit of chaos, and the subsequent fire burned down all the traces. As for whether those people eventually managed to flee or not, Shayna and Olga had no clue and it also wasn’t their concern.

Tesoro and Stella were taken away, and Arceus intended to place them in Beasts Fruits.

Although he became evil, the fact that he went from being a fleeing slave to becoming the Golden Emperor, controlling 20% of the world’s money, and mastering the Gold-Gold Fruit to its awakened stage, showcased Tesoro’s talent.

His prowess in combat wasn’t highly regarded. Arceus primarily valued his business talent. With Beasts Fruits growing bigger, they needed an excellent CEO to lead its ongoing development.

However, the extent of Tesoro’s abilities remained to be seen. He planned to arrange for him to first work in an ordinary branch in the New World as a test. He couldn’t directly appoint him to lead Beasts Fruits as it wouldn’t be well-received.

He didn’t decline the idea of working for the Beasts Pirates. Yamato had extended a helping hand during his critical moment, and he wasn’t ungrateful. Besides, he had also said back then that he would pay back everything.

Although he had boarded the pirates’ ship, it was an unavoidable situation as staying here would pose a significant danger to both him and Stella.

The massive fire in the slave market didn’t stop the auction. The people here were accustomed to such occurrences. However, the items presented at the auction held no interest for Arceus.

Jewelry, artworks—none of those were what they desired, but they encountered two Zoan Devil Fruits.

Beasts Pirates ultimately won the bid for these two fruits. While Zoan Devil Fruits generally didn’t fetch high prices outside, these two Devil Fruits were sold for a staggering two hundred and ten million Berries.

The conclusion of the auction marked the end of Yamato and other’s stay in Sabaody Archipelago.

The raging fire in the slave market failed to attract anyone’s attention. The local Marines were equally indifferent to it, although they had to address certain matters due to orders from their superiors.

But, the majority of those who actively join the Marines usually have their own goals. Despite the presence of undesirable individuals within the Marines, the majority of them still possess their own conscience.

They couldn’t actively free the slaves, but they could turn a blind eye to those who had already escaped. Except for the slaves with pirate backgrounds, most managed to board ships and depart from Sabaody Archipelago under the guard’s connivance.

The Celestial Dragon was infuriated upon learning that his “merchandise” had escaped. Yet, he had nowhere to vent his anger. The slave market’s owner was dead, and the slaves had fled. Even if he ordered the Marines to capture them and bring them back, they would likely put forth minimal effort.

Meanwhile, the return journey on the Genesis became more enjoyable. After all, the ship now had a new addition—a musician. A rare joy during pirate’s journeys.

“Yo-hohoho, Yo-hohoho,

Going to deliver Binks’ Sake!

Following the sea breeze! Riding on the waves!”

Tesoro sang the Bink’s Sake just like that day at Bubble Park, but unlike the scattered audience before, the pirates on the ship were much more interested in this song.

While there were no musical instruments on board, they used buckets from the deck and pots and pans from the kitchen for accompaniment. The collisions of various objects created a completely unique melody.

“Not bad, Tesoro! Sing us another one!”

“Yeah, we rarely have a musician aboard. Boss Queen might take a liking to you, or wait, perhaps he’ll dislike you. He fancies himself as the most artistic person among the Beasts Pirates!

The pirates on the deck had flushed faces, clearly affected by alcohol. Encouraged by their cheers, Tesoro performed his first-ever show on the makeshift stage and these pirates became his inaugural audience.

The sensation of being watched filled him with exhilaration. Of course, the most important thing was that Stella was down there. She wasn’t as passionate as those pirates, and just watched him with a smile.

This left him stunned. He had seen Stella’s smile before, but there had always been sturdy iron bars separating them, the bomb collar around Stella’s neck was also an insurmountable barrier.

But now, those things had disappeared, and for a moment, he forgot to continue singing.

The fading of the song naturally caught the pirates’ attention, followed by a series of teasing shouts.

“Hey, hey, isn’t it time to sleep? It seems a bit late.”

“Yeah, Tesoro, I’ve two pieces of news for you. The good news is that there’s still a vacant cabin on our ship, so you both have a place to stay. But there’s also some bad news. We only have one cabin left, and it contains just one bed.”

“But don’t worry, that bed is quite large. It’s enough for the two of you!”

“Hahaha, go on, Tesoro. Make sure to lock the windows, or someone might peep!”

Amidst the playful banter, Tesoro and Stella were pushed into their cabin.

The atmosphere within the cabin was delicate at this moment. These two had experienced so much over the three years, transitioning from acquaintance to familiarity, and finally to regaining their freedom. If it hadn’t been for their fortunate encounter with Yamato, their end wouldn’t have been good.

The deck was enveloped in silence, seemingly devoid of people. However, in reality, dozens of figures lay outside the cabin, each one listening intently by the walls.

Nine out of ten individuals aboard the Genesis ship were members of the Arceus Cult, and joining this organization was much more complex than simply becoming part of the Beasts Pirates.

These people had all passed Shayna’s disciplinary inspection without any problem, but that didn’t stop them from seeking amusement.

“Don’t push me, it’s so cramped in here.”

“Why don’t you move then? You’ve taken up all the good spots.”

As these pirates quietly jostled their companions, a voice suddenly came from behind them.

“What are you all doing? Is there something good inside?”

“Of course, it’s something good, something particularly interesting.”

“Really? Let me see too. Make some space.”

At this moment, the pirate who responded suddenly shivered. The voice just now was a female voice. As they turned around to look, they saw Yamato standing outside while holding her Alcremie; they couldn’t tell when she had appeared.

“Step aside, what are you all up to?”

“Cough, cough, Miss Yamato, this isn’t something you should be seeing.”

“Yeah, yeah, you should go to sleep.”

If Arceus found out that they had exposed Yamato to something inappropriate at her age, they felt that their demise would be quite poetic.
