APJ Chapter 253 A Completely Different Life

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Milcery undergoes amorphous evolution, and some of its forms have never been seen before. New types of sweets have allowed them to take on their current forms.

Vanilla chocolate, lemon mint, and milk matcha – the three colors of Alcremie represent three completely different flavors.

Although after evolving, they can no longer float around like before, since they now have limbs, it doesn’t hinder their movements at all.

Alcremie’s palms can produce cream at will. Just after evolving, they went wild playing with the children who witnessed their evolution. As a result, some time later, everyone ended up holding a piece of cloth and a bucket.

In a sense, Yamato and Jack initiated this world’s first Pokémon contest, with everyone tossing cream at each other.

Cream itself didn’t cause any harm, but it got everywhere.

So their next task was to clean the cream off the walls, and even Robin, who was standing nearby, got involved. Although she doesn’t have an Alcremie, she couldn’t escape the flying cream splatters that scattered everywhere.

Jack and Yamato cleaned the floor and lower walls, while Maria and Robin took care of the higher walls and ceiling.

One of them could climb higher with the Spider-Spider Fruit ability, while the other extended numerous arms using the Flower-Flower Fruit.

While ordinary kids might have found this tiring, for these children, it was nothing compared to Kaido’s training and their usual physical training. But, it wasn’t the physical aspect that was challenging; they were required to clean every corner spotlessly, which was the most difficult part.

However, during the cleaning, Yamato noticed something amiss.

“Robin, why are you laughing?”

“Laughing? I am?”

“Of course, that smile on your face still hasn’t disappeared.”

Doing household chores was much easier for Robin; while the others had to run around with the piece of cloth, she only needed to use her ability while standing in one place.

Several pieces of cloth worked simultaneously, and after cleaning one area, she could simply summon new arms using her ability.

“Because…it’s fun?”

“Fun? You have weird tastes.”

Actually, it wasn’t weird; rather, she has finally received something she lacked during her childhood. Back when she lived with Olivia’s younger brother, she had to do a lot of household chores. As Olivia’s brother, he did take care of Robin.

However, as time went on, things changed. They never expected Olivia to be gone for six years.

Though her brother didn’t kick Robin out, due to his wife’s complaints, he began to see Robin as a burden, and she was burdened with household chores every day.

But doing household chores alone and doing them here while having fun were completely different concepts. It seems she has finally understood what it felt like to have friends of her age.

The people here didn’t see her ability as something monstrous or weird.

Interesting, practical, and a useful ability was the evaluation she received.

The culture within the Beasts Pirates still revolved around competition, but it had mellowed out to some extent. However, as long as competition existed, strength was something others admired.

After finishing the cleaning, Yamato and Maria went to the top floor’s officer bathhouse, while Jack went to the large bathhouse downstairs. As for Robin, she returned to Sky Island as the sun was beginning to set.

At the edge of Sky Island, Saul wore a large straw hat, gazing at the distant sunset. The safety of those scholars was assured, but their freedom was somewhat restricted.

This was also his initial viewpoint. He believed that scholars committed crimes, but their offenses didn’t warrant death, so regulating and monitoring their research would be sufficient. Unexpectedly, now a group of pirates was the one doing it.

The people from the Beasts Pirates told him that he wouldn’t be able to leave this place for a short while, and he accepted that, understanding the current situation.

Giants had a base lifespan of three hundred years, so wasting some time here didn’t matter. He planned to watch Robin grow up first and also didn’t want her mind to be filled with thoughts about pirates.

There wasn’t much to do on Sky Island, and his daily routine involved contemplating life while watching the sunset. Recently, he obtained some books about philosophy from the newly established library and was studying topics about human nature.

On Sky Island, various living conditions have been fulfilled. According to the scholars’ requests, the Beasts Pirates have set up a large clock on Sky Island to indicate the passage of time.

As he watched the clock’s hands approach the seven, Saul knew that Robin would be returning soon.

A few minutes later, a Millennial Dragon burst out from under the cloud layer of Sky Island, bringing Robin back.

These clouds were not ordinary clouds; they were newly formed Sea Clouds. The ordinary clouds in the sky and the clouds around Sky Island were different manifestations of clouds, while the Island Clouds near the Sea Clouds would evaporate and disappear eventually.

However, due to the unique nature of the Island Clouds, it could gather ordinary clouds and transform them into Sea Clouds. So, without any surprises, in a few years, new Sea Clouds would form around this small Sky Island.

“Saul! I’m back!”

“Did you have fun?”

“Yes, I did! The creatures called Pokémon here are really fascinating.”

This was something Saul didn’t expect. He thought Beasts Pirates would try to brainwash Robin, but they just let her play along with Yamato and the others, and if she wanted, she could also participate in some training.

Because the Beasts Pirates believe that such things are not necessary; they believe that subtle and indirect influence is sufficient. They understand that friendships formed during one’s youth can have a significant impact on many things, and there is no need to rush for immediate results.

In the new Tree of Knowledge’s library, Olvia had prepared dinner and was waiting for Robin to return. The enormous vines created by Arceus not only tethered the Sky Island but also extended over a large area.

With Saul’s help, the scholars cleared a portion of the vines and stored the books again. Many people now lived directly inside the vines.

Around it, some houses were also under construction, but most of them were structures like tents. They have no experience in building structures on Island Clouds of Sky Island.

The foundation of Sky Island is completely different from regular soil. Until the relevant experts arrive, they can only learn from the Shandians how to set up tents.

Just as luck would have it, the team heading to Angel Island to collect Dials has already set off. They have also received orders from Arceus to learn how to construct buildings from there or bring back a few individuals who are skilled in construction.

Living in treehouses and tents might be their current accommodation, but other aspects seem to be in good order. Some rooms have already been illuminated with lights, creating a stark contrast to the situation in Wano Country below.

During this season, Wano Country gets dark late, but it was already dark since most places didn’t have any artificial lights.
