With a swift motion, she retracted the chain, her preferred weapon. Whether male or female, the gangsters in Wano Country had to be capable of fighting to make a name for themselves.
Naturally, males have an advantage in this aspect, so most of the gangsters were male. However, there was one exception – the all-female delinquent gang of Ringo region.
Musashi excelled in this field, her iron chain proving to be quite effective.
However, recently she found herself out of a job. Even though they were called delinquents, they had their own jobs. This gang of delinquent girls work as caretakers at the Northern Cemetery.
But some time ago, the cemetery faced a rare group of grave robbers. While most of the burial items remained untouched, they lost many corpses, including the body of the Sword God Ryuma and the black blade Shusui, revered as the national treasure of Wano Country.
It led to their reputation plummeting, and they could hardly continue their work. The gang decided to disband, with some members returning home, and others joining Kojiro’s trading guild.
There were even those who ended up in the Red-Light District, not as prostitutes but as security guards, relying on their combat skills.
“Is this the kind of life you want? Being a gangster? Now you can’t even continue on that path.”
“Who knew Ringo would attract grave robbers, and they swept through the vast cemetery in just half an hour, making it seem haunted.”
“But you also shouldn’t worry about them anymore. They don’t know how to be grateful.”
“You’re not that young anymore. Isn’t it better to retire peacefully?”
“How can I retire peacefully if you’re like this? If I don’t run this place, you might not even have food to eat. What are your plans for the future?”
“As you wish, I’ll become a doctor too,” Miyamoto had always hoped for this, but Musashi had shown little interest in it before.
“Alright, then you can start learning with me.”
“No, you’ve been taken too much advantage of already. A new hospital has opened in Hakumai, and their nursing school is recruiting people. I plan to go there, and you should also come with me. I’ve heard they are also hiring experienced doctors.”
“It’s the same place which saved the old man of that family. You are also coming with me.”
In the end, Musashi persuaded Miyamoto to change her mind. They packed their things and headed to the hospital built by the Beasts Pirates. As an experienced doctor, Miyamoto became the most sought-after individual there, able to start working with just a simple training.
At this moment, Musashi’s heart was also deeply moved as Chansey’s appearance happened to touch the soft spot in her heart.
After that day, Beasts Pirates Pokémon Center began to attract more and more residents of Wano Country. Its low cost and high efficiency drew many people to give it a try.
Compared to the disorganized healthcare system within Wano Country, the doctors gathered from different islands displayed a much more efficient medical level, far superior to the so-called traditional remedies.
But the most significant impact of the hospital was on Kozuki Oden, not the ordinary people of Wano Country.
Apart from dancing in the Flower Capital, he rarely leaves Kuri, and at most, he appears in Hakumai, where Shimotsuki Yasuie’s residence is located.
He hasn’t made absolutely no contributions to the residents of Kuri. For instance, he tidied up the chaotic Kuri, restoring order to the region. However, as he observed the constant flow of people in and out of the Beasts Pirates Pokémon Center, he found himself filled with deep self-doubt.
Some people even come from other towns just to seek medical treatment here. Although the number of people isn’t significant, the doctors inside are working diligently and the once leisurely days have vanished.
In Kuri, he saw the high-yield orchards and the smiles of the shepherds and farmers, and in Hakumai, the hospital has freed many people from the torment of minor illnesses.
“Wouldn’t it be better if the Beasts Pirates ruled this place instead of me?” He acknowledged that he wasn’t cut out for this, and becoming a daimyo or Shogun was never his aspiration.
If not for witnessing so much and learning some secrets during his travels with Roger, he might have just returned to Whitebeard’s ship and continued being a pirate. After all, his promise with Whitebeard was to return to the Moby Dick after a year.
With this doubt in mind, he went to Shimotsuki Yasuie’s house. As a person privy to some secrets, Yasuie had been carrying out that order, and seeing Kozuki Oden’s arrival, he felt puzzled.

“Yasuie, do you think I am a total failure?” Kozuki Oden was drinking heavily at Yasuie’s residence, questioning his entire life. If he were to take charge, he wasn’t sure if he could accomplish everything to this extent.
He could open a hospital, but acquiring the necessary medical equipment, doctors, and those peculiar creatures were beyond his capabilities.
“Yasuie… *hic* Do you think Kaido is more suitable for the position of Shogun than me?”
“What nonsense are you spouting! I had you dance to deceive Kaido, not to make you doubt yourself!”
Hearing Kozuki Oden’s words, Shimotsuki Yasuie’s eyes widened. He had been secretly amassing power during this time, but before his plan even began, the leader was already wavering.
“You are the heir of the Kozuki family, the rightful successor to the position of Shogun. No matter what, the position of Shogun should be yours! If you believe they are useful, after driving out Kaido, you can retain all those things!”
However, the current Shimotsuki Yasuie was not adept at persuasion. He felt a bit powerless in convincing Kozuki Oden. So, he arranged for his trusted subordinate to go to the Flower Capital.
He despised Kurozumi Orochi, but he had to admit that when it came to persuasion, Kurozumi Orochi was far more skilled than him.
Meanwhile, he started drinking with Kozuki Oden, knowing that it would take some time for the news to reach the Flower Capital and for Kurozumi Orochi to rush over.
Upon receiving Shimotsuki Yasuie’s message, another sleepless individual emerged in the Flower Capital.
“Fool, fool, that fool Kozuki Oden!!!” Kurozumi Orochi’s table suffered as a result. He couldn’t fathom Oden’s thought process.
Just as Shimotsuki Yasuie had thought, he had let Oden dance to confuse Kaido, but in the end, Oden fell into confusion himself.
Kurozumi Orochi briefly considered the consequences if Kozuki Oden actually went through with his plan. He didn’t know if Kaido would eliminate the entire Kozuki family, but he was certain that he himself would be crushed.
“Sure enough, every one of the Kozuki family members is guilty. Oden, you fool, just wait and see. Once you and Kaido both suffer, I will definitely kill you!”
However, for now, he could just just vent. He knows Kozuki Oden well enough to realize that if he didn’t persuade him properly, that fool would really do it.
