PC Chapter 433 Terrance vs Nanu

At a glance, Blastoise’s abdomen had a shocking scratch. At this moment, Blastoise seemed to be enduring immense pain and could no longer control its body, half-kneeling on the ground.

Terrance took a deep breath. The speed at which the battle ended was beyond his expectations. With Blastoise’s current condition, there was no need to continue the fight; the outcome was already very clear.

He looked at Soliera. She noticed Terrance’s gaze, pursed her lips, and took out a Poké Ball, saying, “I lost.”

Nanu’s Persian’s strength exceeded Blastoise by more than just one level; she hadn’t expected to be defeated so quickly.

“Your strength is not enough to challenge the Island Challenge. Even if you obtain a Sparkling Stone and earn the qualification, you wouldn’t be able to complete this challenge,” Nanu said mercilessly.

“I understand, but I won’t give up. I’ll come back to challenge you again after I become stronger!” Soliera said unwillingly.

She had achieved a position among the top 32 in a large-scale competition in a place as big as Kanto. How could she be resigned to being stopped by a small island’s trial?

“Nanu, why not let Terrance battle you as well? If he wins, give him a Z Ring,” Master Victor suddenly suggested.

“Him? Isn’t he a Breeder?” Nanu said in surprise.

“He’s also a Trainer,” Victor replied.

“Uh…” Terrance looked at Master Victor in confusion, unsure of his intentions.

“He’s not my opponent. If you want a Z Ring, it shouldn’t be hard for you to find a Sparkling Stone, right? At that time, I can make one for him for free,” Nanu glanced at Terrance and shook his head; he really couldn’t be bothered to battle these kids.

“True, I happen to know a few places where there might be Sparkling Stones. If we search carefully, we might find some,” Master Victor mused. During his time researching in Alola, he had visited quite a few places.

“Wait a minute, I want to try challenging you,” Terrance suddenly said, surprising both Soliera and Master Victor as they turned to look at him.

Nanu’s strength had already been clearly demonstrated, right?…. Even so, Terrance still wanted to challenge him?

“If possible, I hope to see a Z Move with my own eyes… Haha,” Terrance said awkwardly, scratching his head as he stared intently at Nanu’s wrist.

“Z Move?” Nanu glanced at Terrance and asked, “Are you serious?”

“Yes,” Terrance confirmed.

“If that’s the case, then you two can have a battle. Terrance isn’t weak either. If you’re careless, you might lose,” Master Victor said with a smile.

Nanu remained indifferent. With Terrance being only fifteen years old, how strong could he possibly be?

In his opinion, Terrance was probably on the par with Soliera, and even if he was stronger than her, it wouldn’t be by much…

“Alright then, if you can defeat my Persian, I’ll give you a Z Ring for free,” Nanu said after a moment of silence.

Terrance nodded and began thinking about which Pokémon to send out. To be safe, he decided to use Altaria. This Persian was very fast, with highly destructive moves, and its overall strength was not below Altaria.

If he was careless, he could lose badly.

“Then this time… I’ll act as the referee,” Soliera said.

“Thank you,” Terrance replied.

Switching places with Soliera, Terrance took a deep breath and threw Altaria’s Poké Ball!

Master Victor’s eyes lit up. It had been a long time since he last saw Terrance, and he was very curious about Altaria’s strength. Although he had seen Altaria before and knew it was perfectly trained, he hadn’t witnessed it in battle firsthand. This was a perfect opportunity.

Altaria had great potential, and Master Victor could arguably be considered the person most knowledgeable about Altaria besides Terrance—possibly even surpassing Terrance in some aspects.

“This Pokémon…” Nanu, with his extensive experience, furrowed his brows slightly the moment he saw Altaria.

He cast a deep glance at Terrance and Master Victor. A Pokémon of this caliber was not something a Trainer of Terrance’s age could normally raise.

“Persian,” Nanu said slowly, as Persian stepped onto the battlefield once again.

Altaria flew gracefully in the air, while Persian tilted its head to stare at its opponent, repeatedly scraping the ground with its claws as if itching to drag Altaria down.

With just one exchange of glances, the battle began.

“Altaria, use Dragon Breath.”

Powerful dragon flames gushed out, sweeping toward Persian. Altaria opened its mouth and unleashed a move with overwhelming power. The oppressive force made even Nanu hesitate briefly before issuing the command to dodge.

“Dodge it.”

“Then use Dark Pulse.”

This was the first time Terrance had encountered such an agile Pokémon. It wasn’t just fast—it was agile. Persian’s movements while dodging Dragon Breath were not particularly quick, but it always managed to seize the perfect timing, maneuvering its body deftly. Even as Altaria’s Dragon Breath swept across, it failed to deliver an effective hit.

This situation was a first for Terrance after four months of training on Mt. Chimney.

“Use Dragon Claw!”

At the moment when Persian’s Dark Pulse was about to land, Terrance hesitated for a brief moment before quickly giving the command!

The trajectory of Dark Pulse was extremely erratic, flying toward them like a chaotic fly, and it was incredibly fast. Terrance had no choice but to have Altaria use Dragon Claw to block it.

This Dark Pulse was entirely unpredictable in terms of where it would land or how it would move; it could only be destroyed at the moment it arrived.

A giant claw of bluish-purple energy materialized. The moment Dark Pulse arrived, Altaria swiftly swung its claw. Bang!!!

Thick smoke obscured the vision of both Persian and Altaria. In the next moment, countless beams of light lit up in the sky, falling like meteors.

“Use Draco Meteor!”

Terrance’s voice rang out, and Nanu immediately commanded, “Run!”

Looking up at the sky, Persian began to move rapidly, its entire body turning into a gray blur as if trying to evade Altaria’s Draco Meteor through its speed.

However, as the beams of light came fully into Nanu’s view, he paused. The Draco Meteor was spread out too much, and considering the final explosion of the energy clusters… it would be difficult for Persian to evade.

Such precise control… Nanu silently praised Altaria’s mastery of Draco Meteor in his heart. But he wasn’t intimidated and said, “If that’s the case, use Power Gem to break apart all the attacks above you!”

In an instant, light as brilliant as a gemstone condensed. Persian stopped moving and fired the Power Gem move from the center of its forehead.

The light ray collided with the energy clusters, and a violent explosion erupted immediately!

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

But it wasn’t over yet. Persian’s Power Gem only managed to block part of the Draco Meteor. Against the Draco Meteor that covered the entire battlefield, Persian could only carve out a small safe zone for itself. Yet, the shockwaves from the other falling Draco Meteors could still instantly engulf it in their energy explosion!

Boom!!
