PC Chapter 425 Tapu Bulu!

The girl before him seemed determined to find something to do. Terrance shrugged, but it had nothing to do with him. He was about to head to Ula’ula Island to meet Master Victor.

“Terrance, you said before that you’re a Breeder, right?”

Soliera hadn’t forgotten. She had never mentioned her Eevee’s age, yet Terrance pointed it out immediately.

Two months—completely correct. From hatching to now, her Eevee was only 64 days old.

The more Soliera thought about it, the more astonished she became. Even her friend, who had traveled with her in Kanto and was training to become a Breeder, didn’t have this level of insight.

“Yes, that’s right,” Terrance nodded.

Soliera’s face turned bright red, and she said, “Then, after you’re done with your business, could you come with me to take on the Island Challenge?”

Terrance: ???

Seeing Terrance’s confused expression, Soliera quickly waved her hands and said, “It’s like this: I used to have a friend who was kind of a Breeder. Traveling with her was very easy… whether it was Pokémon food or treating Pokémon after battles…”

As Soliera continued, even she felt it was strange. This wasn’t about finding a travel partner anymore—it was about finding a caretaker!

“What I mean is…”

Seeing Soliera’s increasingly flustered explanation, Terrance apologized, “Thank you for the invitation, but I don’t think I’ll be staying in Alola for long.”

“Is that so…” Soliera sighed in disappointment.

In her heart, she really wanted to travel with an excellent Breeder. Early on, she had managed to collect eight Badges in her rookie year, thanks largely to the help of her Breeder friend. Most ordinary Trainers wouldn’t be able to collect eight Badges without at least two or three years of experience.

Even so, Soliera knew that her friend was still just learning to become a Breeder and wasn’t an official Breeder yet.

Although she had only met Terrance briefly, Soliera felt that his breeder skills might even surpass those of her friend. He might truly be a certified Breeder. If she could travel with someone like him, her Pokémon would receive excellent care, and her strength could improve quickly as well with his guidance.

Terrance remained silent. With his current identity, it was impossible for him to travel like a normal Trainer. Unless he closed his Gym, but everything had just entered the right track—how could he give it up now?

Besides, he was only fourteen years old. There would be plenty of time in the future to relax. There was no rush. By then, it would be purely for enjoyment.

After Terrance told Soliera that he was heading to Ula’ula Island, he thought the two of them would part ways. However, Terrance couldn’t quite figure out what Soliera was thinking.

“Then I’ll head to Ula’ula Island too.”

“As for the Island Challenge, I can start it from anywhere, right?”

“I’m not too sure, and I don’t know the conditions for participating in the Island Challenge either. That’s something you’ll need to inquire on your own.”

Terrance couldn’t dictate Soliera’s actions, nor did he mind the idea of traveling together. To reach Ula’ula Island, he could ride his Altaria. What surprised Terrance was that Soliera also had a Flying-type Pokémon she could ride—a Pidgeot.

Because the four islands in the Alola region are relatively close to each other, the transportation methods here are actually more primitive—riding Pokémon!

Along the way, whether on land, sea, or in the air, Terrance had witnessed many such scenes. It seemed that technological means of transportation weren’t very popular here.

The Alola region is somewhat similar to the Orange Archipelago, though it is slightly larger than the latter. Riding his Altaria and with Soliera on her Pidgeot, the two flew in the direction of Ula’ula Island.

Ula’ula Island is the eastern island of the Alola region. It didn’t take long for the two of them to reach it. After arriving at the edge of Ula’ula Island, they landed on a beach.

“That Pokémon… it’s Altaria, isn’t it?”

During the flight, the wind made it impossible to speak, but Soliera had been observing Terrance’s Altaria the entire time. Although she didn’t understand much about breeder standards, she was captivated by Altaria’s noble and elegant demeanor.

“As expected of a Breeder—even the Pokémon he raises is so classy.”

There were many people on the beach, and seeing such a regal and elegant Altaria, most people couldn’t help but cast curious glances at it.

At the very moment Terrance and Soliera landed on Ula’ula Island, a Pokémon with what looked like two wooden horns suddenly flew out from the forest and looked in their direction.

If any Ula’ula Island residents had seen this Pokémon, they would have exclaimed: “Tapu Bulu!”

Tapu Bulu, known as the guardian deity of Ula’ula Island, is a very special Pokémon.

However, the term “guardian deity” doesn’t necessarily mean it protects humans. In Alola’s history, although Tapu Bulu is considered to dislike fighting, it had once destroyed human habitats after being disrespected or offended!

“Alt~aria!”

Altaria suddenly let out a cry.

“What’s wrong?” Terrance looked at Altaria and asked in confusion.

“Alt~aria!” Altaria glanced into the distance and then shook its head.

“So this is Ula’ula Island, huh? I’ve just seen so many Pokémon that don’t exist in Kanto!” Soliera said excitedly.

“That’s true, and there are even subspecies of some Pokémon.” Terrance also revealed a curious expression. The environment here in Alola was so unique that some Pokémon from the Kanto Region had undergone significant changes in appearance, and even their types were different!

“I wonder if the Pokémon Egg Master Victor is giving me will be a Pokémon unique to Alola or a subspecies of another Pokémon,” Terrance speculated in his mind.

After asking some passerby for directions to Malie City, Terrance and Soliera set off. During their conversation with the passerby, they also learned how to challenge the Island challenge!

However, first, they need to find the Island Kahuna to obtain the qualification for it.

Not everyone who wants to take on the challenge can qualify for the Island challenge’s rite of passage. Even local Trainers find it difficult, and for visiting Trainers who haven’t shown particular dedication to the rite of passage, it’s even harder!

As for those who have completed the Island challenge, they are a rare few across the entire Alola region.

Although the passerby described it as very challenging, Soliera didn’t care. After all, she was a Trainer who had participated in a League Conference—how could she be intimidated by something like this?

As for Terrance… he had no intention of taking on the challenge, so he didn’t pay much attention to it.

To reach Malie City from their current location, they needed to pass through a narrow path flanked by forests. At this moment, a Pokémon that Terrance had never seen before blocked their way.
