PC Chapter 391 Disarming Voice

Terrance stood beside Altaria at the very top of Mt. Chimney. As they entered the area, Altaria’s mother should logically have noticed their presence by now, but there was no sign of her yet.

Just as Terrance and Altaria were about to step into the territory of the overlord Altaria, the surrounding rocks began to tremble violently. A high-pitched cry pierced the air, and Terrance looked up.

“It’s finally here.”

Terrance stood on a rocky outcrop, with Altaria hovering behind him, both gazing into the distance at the overlord of Mt. Chimney, who was soaring higher and higher. His heart surged with emotion.

This return was unlike the last. Altaria’s strength had now vaguely surpassed that of its mother. It had come this time with the belief to prove itself.

“Boom~~~~~”

A massive bluish-purple energy claw suddenly swatted away the falling debris above Terrance’s head. The tremendous force shattered the fragments further, sending them flying far into the distance. As the vibrations subsided, Terrance’s gaze locked on the overlord Altaria, who was slowly descending. Its azure body became clearer with each passing moment.

“Alt~aria~~~”

“Alt~aria~~~”

The overlord Altaria slowly descended from the sky. Its eyes gazed down at Terrance and Altaria who were climbing upwards, emitting a series of incomprehensible sounds.

…..

Fallarbor Town.

Ayan and Scarlet, locked in their Pokémon battle, paused their commands as they noticed the stunned expressions of the little bugs nearby. They could sense a massive surge of energy from the direction of Mt. Chimney!

Boom!!!

A thunderous sound echoed, reminiscent of a mountain being pierced through, stirring uneasy memories in their hearts. Ayan quickly stepped out of the Old Green House to look toward Mt. Chimney, shaking his head after a moment.

“It’s different this time. It must be Pokémon battling each other.”

“How is that even possible? What kind of Pokémon on Mt. Chimney could cause such massive destruction? It’s even affecting Fallarbor Town…”

Scarlet found it hard to believe, staring at Ayan’s equally puzzled expression. Suddenly, he asked, “Say… could it be Brother Terrance?”

The residents of Fallarbor Town could feel the intensity of the battle raging on Mt. Chimney. Despite the distance, the sound of devastating collisions echoed as powerful attacks struck the mountain, shattering rocks. The noise spread far, causing the Pokémon in the forests surrounding Mt. Chimney to panic and attempt to flee from the danger.

“What’s happening?”

Kotoko, who was training her Pokémon near the edge of Fallarbor Woods, froze as she felt the shockwaves of the battle. With a look of surprise, she quickly retrieved her Vileplume into its Poké Ball and rushed into the forest, heading straight for Mt. Chimney.

…..

“Alt~aria!!!”

Two overlapping sounds of collision came from Mt. Chimney as two Altaria’s Dragon Claw, containing immense energy, clashed like steel against steel in a fierce, head-on collision.

Boom!

A wild gust of wind erupted, blowing through the area. Terrance’s hair was swept back by the force as he covered his nose and mouth, and quickly issued a command, “Don’t pull back! Use Feather Dance!”

The Altaria of Mt. Chimney is known to be domineering and rarely shows itself. However, from the previous Mt. Chimney incident where Steven and Metagross were fiercely attacked after using Confusion to scan its territory, it can be seen that this Altaria is not only powerful but also has a rather temperamental nature, similar to most wild Pokémon.

The two Altaria had entirely different fighting styles. Terrance watched as the overlord Altaria unleashed a full-strength Ice Beam, his expression growing serious for the first time.

In a long-range battle, even though his Altaria’s Dragon Pulse was immensely powerful, it cannot avoid being countered by the opponent’s Ice Beam which has been mastered to perfection.

“Even though it has the upper hand in talent, the other Altaria won’t go down easily. This fight… it’s going to be tough.”

Screeeech~~~

The destructive power of Altaria’s Dragon Claw was terrifying—especially now, enhanced by a single Dragon Dance. Yet, the overlord Altaria of Mt. Chimney was still able to hold its ground, deepening Terrance’s doubts.

He wondered if the Pokémon League even knew about the existence of this Altaria on Mt. Chimney. With its strength, it could easily launch an attack on a town. Without powerful defensive measures, the town would have no way to resist.

In Terrance’s estimation, if the overlord Altaria’s strength was taken into account, Mt. Chimney could be classified as a D-Level Lost Region.

Boom!!

Ice Beam froze the cotton feathers into countless massive chunks of ice, which were shattered by the Dragon Claw, crashing down on Altaria like meteors descending from high in the sky.

“Show the results of your special training!” Terrance shouted toward the sky. As Altaria unleashed a Dragon Breath, the incoming ice chunks melted away, no longer a threat. However, Terrance’s heart tensed as the overlord Altaria fired another swift Ice Beam.

A resonant, high-pitched sound echoed. The invisible soundwaves completely erased the Ice Beam, which had been so cold it could freeze water in an instant just from the surrounding chill.

Erase!

The overlord Altaria’s eyes gleamed with a strange light, but the battle was far from over. A melodious and beautiful voice filled the air. Terrance’s expression changed, and he quickly commanded Altaria to stop the other party, lest they fall into a deep sleep.

Thanks to rhythmic sound waves’ interference, Altaria’s Sing move failed, but in its wake, a strange pink energy wave, intertwined with the Sing, swept through like a hurricane, piercing Altaria’s body and hurling it away.

“Altaria!”

Terrance shouted in a daze, “Not good… the move that hit Altaria was off!”

Looking at Altaria, who seemed to have suffered severe injuries, Terrance furrowed his brow in thought. Given Altaria’s durability, it was impossible for a mere sound wave to inflict such severe injuries.

Type advantage.

That was the only explanation Terrance could think of.

“Could it be Disarming Voice?!” In the next instant, Terrance exclaimed in surprise, shouting at Altaria, “Switch to Draco Meteor to counter!”

“Alt~aria!!!!”

Altaria reacted swiftly. Despite the severe injury, it shook off the negative effects with a powerful flap of its fluffy wings. Soaring upward, it summoned a massive, pulsating ball of energy, hurling it into the sky. The ball detonated, scattering into countless meteors that arced down toward the overlord Altaria.

Whoosh!!

Faced with the widespread suppression of Draco Meteor, the overlord Altaria had no way to dodge and could only form Cotton Guard, causing cotton feathers to scatter in all directions and envelop the falling energy spheres. However, the effect was minimal, and in the end, it had to rely on its own Dragon Claw to forcefully withstand the destruction caused by the powerful Draco Meteor.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Trapped in Draco Meteor, any ordinary Dragon-type Pokémon would have no chance of survival, but the overlord Altaria managed to endure. However, its body was now riddled with wounds, which gave Terrance a glimmer of hope for victory.
