Hurricane Move!
Hurricane in Rain Dance!
In an instant, no matter how exquisite Roselia’s Magical Leaf was, the sudden onslaught of a fierce Hurricane, the leaves, as if without support, were crushed into pieces by the powerful wind pressure. Roselia let out a scream, feeling a sharp pain in its head. The connection between it and Magical Leaf was severed by Hurricane, causing it immense damage.
“This…” Little Qi looked on in disbelief. It wasn’t just her; most of the audience also had expressions as if they’d seen a ghost. If this Hurricane had been from a Dragonite or even a Pidgeot, they could have accepted it. But coming from Castform’s tiny body… it didn’t seem like it could contain such astonishing energy.
Terrance remained expressionless. It wasn’t a myth that some Dragonair were called rain gods in ancient times. Wind, rain, thunder, and lightning, these elements were naturally familiar to Castform after perfectly merging with the Dragon Orb.
After crushing the Magical Leaf, the Hurricane didn’t stop and continued towards Roselia. Facing the Hurricane, Little Qi was alarmed and quickly ordered, “Hold steady!”
In the blink of an eye, Roselia grew larger, with the two roses on its hands emitting a dazzling light. Then, Roselia opened its eyes, thrust its arms into the ground, and its entire body glowed.
All this happened in an instant. When the Hurricane passed, Roselia stood there unharmed, allowing Little Qi’s racing heart to gradually calm down. However, her clenched fists still revealed her nervousness.
“A clever defense—” Vivian exclaimed, “Roselia faced the raging Hurricane by first using ‘Growth’ to enhance its physique, then stabilized itself by rooting into the ground and used ‘Synthesis’ to mitigate the impact of Hurricane. What an excellent idea.”
Indeed, it was impressive. Terrance was slightly surprised, as it was his first time seeing Roselia’s defensive method. However, the match had to continue. Terrance stepped forward and continued in a deep voice, “Thunder.”
In this weather, Roselia’s Synthesis was merely squeezing out its stored energy, which wouldn’t last long and it would collapse on its own over time even if he didn’t attack.
Castform swayed, and the dark clouds in the sky began to move. With a “boom,” a lightning bolt shot down towards the spot where Roselia was rooted.
Fierce.
For the series of moves that Castform used, from Hurricane to Thunder, the audience and judges could only give such an evaluation. Who would have thought that such a tiny body could contain so much energy?

Two minutes later, the entire stage became Castform’s domain. As the dark clouds moved, Roselia had nowhere to escape. In the end, its appeal points were gradually erased by Castform.
Terrance easily won. Since it was its first time participating in a Contest Battle, Castform was still a bit unaccustomed, so Terrance took his time during the match to let it gain more experience.
“Next, my opponent is Kyosuke.”
The battle with this Little Qi was fairly ordinary. Castform hadn’t displayed many of its abilities yet; it was just a basic confrontation.
After the battle, Little Qi stopped Terrance. At first, Terrance thought it was about the previous battle, but the reason surprised him. It turned out that he and Little Qi were “old acquaintances,” but this went back to the Rusturf Tunnel incident two years ago. Moreover, the other had changed her hairstyle, so it was understandable that Terrance didn’t recognize her.
Expressing surprise and astonishment, Little Qi said, “Since you’ve defeated me, don’t lose to that Trainer next. Show him that Coordinators aren’t to be underestimated!”
Terrance knew she was referring to Kyosuke…
Unlike Contest Battles, this battle might be closer to traditional battles in a certain sense.
Without exceptional coordination skills, facing the intense pressure from the opponent’s Tyranitar would be impossible. Just Tyranitar’s aura alone could make half of the Pokémon lose their will to fight.
Coincidentally, Castform lacked this kind of coordination skill. It joined too late, and finding a way to counter the opponent within the Pokémon Contest’s rules would be much more challenging.
The next battle was in the second half. Terrance sat in the lobby, carefully recalling Tyranitar’s abilities and battle style, feeling a bit of anticipation.
After the other two Contest Battles ended, the staff came to inform Terrance of the next match time.
“Contestant Terrance, good luck!” said the staff member before leaving, causing Terrance to pause and then smile in response.
Without needing anyone else to say it, he was determined to win. However, the reason wasn’t so complicated—simply put, he needed to claim that Ribbon for himself and wouldn’t allow any mistakes for any reason.
As for the opponent being too strong, that was not a reason Terrance could accept.
“Terrance, come over here.” In the contestants’ passageway, Little Qi suddenly appeared and called Terrance over.
Terrance was a bit puzzled but still walked to the corner and asked, “What’s up?”
Little Qi didn’t look happy and said with a displeased attitude, “Just now, that Trainer named Kyosuke had another verbal altercation with a contestant.”
Terrance understood and smiled, “Kyosuke’s doing again?”
Little Qi was taken aback and said, “…It’s his attitude. Some contestants couldn’t stand Kyosuke’s disdainful attitude and argued with him, and then Kyosuke actually mocked us Coordinators.”
“In that case, you should show your strength to make him respect you,” Terrance said. Ignoring Little Qi’s astonished expression, he walked out of the passage.
Terrance knew why Little Qi came to him; it was simply to cheer him on. Coordinators being looked down upon by Trainers wasn’t a new thing.
But Terrance didn’t place much importance on these verbal disputes.
Moreover, he didn’t think Kyosuke could represent all Trainers, nor could he represent all Coordinators. Placing such hopes on others… forget it.
Even if he wanted to bring honor to Coordinators, it wasn’t something they, who hadn’t even obtained the title of Top Coordinator, could represent. Doing so would only bring more shame to Coordinators.
And that was the reality. A runner-up of The Ever Grande Conference left all the contestants of a Pokémon Contest in the dust and crushed them.
Kyosuke, among the Trainers, can hardly be considered anything significant. Similarly, Terrance, among Coordinators, wasn’t famous either.
This kind of quarrel caused by personal feelings was completely unnecessary. It lacks both substance and significance, and represents nothing. Instead of this, it’s better for all Coordinators to work hard to improve themselves. That was the right path.
