PC Chapter 180 Pokémon relying on the power of nature

As Terrance was watching in surprise, Mismagius returned, bringing good news to Terrance.

It had found a special Pokémon…This Pokémon was the only one able to quickly snap out of its illusion along the way.

“This disturbance…was caused by it?” Terrance asked.

Mismagius nodded in confirmation. To be honest, Mismagius had created a rather unpleasant illusion to test the Pokémon’s reactions…

Many Pokémon became engrossed in these illusions, unable to break free within a short time. So, Mismagius, upon observation, would redirect the dreams towards a good one.

First, it is an unpleasant illusion. If Pokémon cannot escape from the unpleasant illusion, it will be transformed into a good illusion, so that it will not cause too much of an impact.

But that Pokémon… it broke free immediately upon entering the unpleasant illusion and became angry.

Seeing a Pokémon effortlessly break free from its illusions, Mismagius observed and immediately felt that this was the type of Pokémon that Terrance was looking for and it was worth notifying Terrance.

Because in various aspects, this Pokémon exuded a unique aura.

Apart from Beautifly, which had been with Terrance from the start, Terrance’s Pokémon all had their own distinctive traits.

Altaria, with a dominant Dragon Type bloodline.

Mismagius, gifted with superior illusion talent.

Growlithe, with its self-harming attacks that seemed impervious to pain…

Even Beautifly had developed its own distinct traits under Terrance’s training.

So upon seeing such a Pokémon, Mismagius immediately felt that it was the same type as them.

“Well done,” Terrance said.

Surprisingly, merely allowing Mismagius to act independently for reconnaissance brought good news.

“In that case, let’s…give up on this Scyther for now,” Terrance decided.

Compared to this, the situation over there intrigued and attracted Terrance more.

Terrance felt… that he would regret it if he didn’t go see it with his own eyes.

At least… he already knew everything about this Scyther, so even if he missed it, he wouldn’t regret it too much.

But the news brought by Mismagius undoubtedly delighted Terrance.

“Lead the way,” Terrance said.

In a certain part of the Safari Zone, a secluded valley exuded an eerie calm and chill, with a lone hill standing tall.

Inside the inconspicuous cave on this hill, the sound of water dripping can be heard.

Though not towering, the hill had steep cliffs and protruding rocks, and especially with lush green trees and flowing streams commonly found in dense shade, it added a mysterious atmosphere to the area.

Within the Safari Zone, there were various regions including lakes, grasslands, and valleys. Apart from a few regions unsuitable for this climate, many different species of Pokémon can be found here.

Even some Pokémon primarily found in other regions have left behind traces of their activity here.

However, most non-native Pokémon were introduced by the Safari Zone’s owner, with only a few accidentally wandering into this place.

“It’s quite difficult to travel!”

Terrance grumbled inwardly, knowing that his physique from two years ago wouldn’t have allowed him to climb this place.

No wonder Mismagius could find a special Pokémon; this was the so-called “taking an unconventional path.”

As Terrance approached, the earlier “weather changes” gradually disappeared.

It seemed that the Pokémon couldn’t find the culprit, the source of its anger, so it stopped its actions.

However, what happened just now really surprised Terrance.

Rain Dance combined with an Electric Type move truly simulated a bit of the feel of nature.

This was the most remarkable aspect of it. Normally, Rain Dance could only create small-scale weather changes. The kind of widespread impact that could be felt in other places… It’s very rare, so much so that even Terrance hasn’t witnessed it before.

Compared to human strength, the power of most Pokémon… the power of nature was undoubtedly greater.

Terrance firmly believed this because the histories of both worlds deeply affirmed it.

In this world, there were many Pokémon capable of harnessing the power of nature, such as the Super-ancient Pokémon of Hoenn Region, Groudon and Kyogre.

One could trigger volcanic eruptions while walking on the land, causing severe drought over a large area.

Another could casually slap the ocean, causing tsunamis and even torrential rain, submerging entire islands…

Although the Rain Dance just now couldn’t be compared to what these two Pokémon can do, it at least gave Terrance a feeling of “closeness to nature.”

It’s no longer just about creating simple energy; it’s more like harnessing a specific aspect of the power of nature.

Originally, Terrance had wondered what Pokémon could have caused this change… He had many guesses and imaginations.

But when he saw the Pokémon, he couldn’t help but be surprised.

It was too small.

He found it hard to imagine that a Pokémon capable of swiftly breaking free from Mismagius’ illusion would be such a small creature.

It was a Pokémon primarily gray in color, resembling a small droplet of water.

Castform.

Another very special Pokémon.

Castform was known as the Weather Pokémon; its appearance and type changes with the weather. In order to protect its small body, it had gained the ability to utilize the immense power of nature.

During abundant sunlight, if you touch its skin, it will be surprisingly hot. This is the Sunny Form.

During rainfall, if you touch its body, it will ooze water like a sponge. This is the Rainy Form.

During snowfall, its entire body is like ice, with a temperature around minus 5 degrees Celsius. This is the Snowy Form.

In short, scientifically speaking, Castform was a very unique Pokémon. Its body closely resembled a water molecule, and its transformations were more mysterious than the unstable genetic variations seen in Eevee, which changed depending on external factors.

Because Castform’s changes were somewhat akin to “incomplete” evolution. But in reality, after such changes, it could revert back.

“So it’s you… but, could Castform really create weather changes of this magnitude?”

As Terrance examined Castform, Castform’s gaze also fell on Mismagius. Sensing Mismagius’s aura, Castform instantly realized that the troublemaker who had disrupted its pleasant dreams was right before its eyes!

“How about having a battle with me?” Terrance looked at Castform and smiled, “What do you say? Your opponent will be the Mismagius right in front of you. Interested?”

Terrance extended the invitation; he wanted to continue observing Castform’s abilities!

He couldn’t judge it from just that small moment. If this Castform truly possesses remarkable talent in some aspect, then…

Capturing this Castform is also a good choice!
