It was a yacht speeding across the sea, leaving trails of white waves in its wake.
Judging from its course, it seemed to align perfectly with Terrance’s route.
Sitting on Altaria, Terrance squinted, his brows slightly furrowing.
There were three people on the yacht, led by… a young man with a camera hanging around his neck.
The other two were one male and one female; the male was a Trainer in his early twenties, with Trainer’s special belt worn around his waist and six Poké Balls stuffed into it.
The last one was a woman in black-framed glasses, wearing revealing shorts and a T-shirt. Waves splashed onto her fair skin, but she paid no mind, still playing with the microphone in her hand.
From their equipment, this team seemed to consist of a Cameraman, a Trainer and a Reporter.
…..
“Maki…do you really think this incident is the work of ‘Team Magma’?” The young Trainer couldn’t help but ask as they neared Slateport City.
“We rushed here in so much hurry. It wouldn’t be worth it if we end up with nothing.”
“Cut the nonsense, haven’t we heard enough of these kinds of rumors?”
“Even if there’s a slight possibility, it’s worth the trip. If it’s true…it will be big news.”
The woman named Maki’s eyes flickered with fervor, her short red hair swaying in the sea breeze, giving her a sharp demeanor.
“Wherever something happens, we the ‘Dream Come True Adventure Team,’ will be there” the young cameraman added.
“Oh, by the way, Ishi, I’ve always wondered, why did you give us such a childish name like ‘Dream Come True Adventure Team’?” Trainer Arvin shook his head.
“Don’t worry about these trivial things…Anyway, Team Magma is just a bunch of lunatics. We’ve come into contact with them before. No matter what, we must track them down and expose their plan.”
“We gathered together to form a team, wasn’t it to seek these thrilling adventures?”
“Indeed.” Maki nodded. “But…”
“Last time, that bi*ch Courtney just played us around, so this time, Arvin, can you be more reliable?”
“That was a mistake!” Arvin’s face flushed red. “I’ve grown stronger. Last time in the desert, we even captured a powerful Flygon. This time, the strength of our team is outstanding.”
“Tch…” Maki scoffed. “I hope so.”
Ishi looked at the two of them, shaking his head in resignation. They were both the kind of Trainers who loved adventure and excitement. Maki is the only heir of a large hospital, dreaming of becoming a Reporter, while Arvin was a traditional Trainer who had performed well in The Ever Grande Conference.
These like-minded people naturally formed the adventure-focused “Dream Come True Adventure Team” after traveling together for a while, primarily adventuring in the Hoenn region.
And recently, they unexpectedly stumbled upon two deeply hidden organizations…
Through repeated investigations, they continued to pursue the tracks of these two organizations. All three of them aimed to, through their own efforts, expose the nefarious deeds and schemes of these two organizations.
As the leader of the trio, Ishi had always pondered over the motives of the two peculiar organizations, Team Aqua and Team Magma. Although they had conveyed some information to the authorities, the lack of crucial details rendered their efforts inconclusive.
The recent disaster at Mt. Chimney seemed too similar to Team Magma’s modus operandi. As the “old rivals” of both Team Aqua and Team Magma, they couldn’t resist getting involved.
Confronting Team Aqua and Team Magma was their greatest pleasure.
“Uh… what’s that…” a shadow fell upon them amidst the fierce wind. Ishi suddenly looked up, “Altaria? There is someone on it.”
Not just him, Maki and Arvin also raised their heads, gazing astonishedly at the sky as Altaria flew past above them, leaving them all momentarily stunned.
A Trainer crossing the sea with a Flying-type Pokémon?
“It indeed is an Altaria,” Ishi said. As active adventurers in Hoenn, how could they not recognize the value of Altaria.
Altaria was as valuable as “Flygon.” In the entire Hoenn mainland, their numbers were scarce. Trainers who owned Altaria were either from a good family background or possessed certain talents; they weren’t ordinary people.
“That Altaria seems even more powerful than the Flygon we captured…” Maki remarked.
“Impossible! You know perfectly well how much effort we put into catching that Flygon,” Arvin explained discontentedly. He always detested praising others at the expense of his own dignity.
“Wait a minute, don’t you think this person’s destination is also Slateport City?” Ishi hesitated. “And that Altaria… do you remember the formidable Altaria we encountered at the Mt. Chimney volcano crater during our exploration?”
“What do you mean?” Arvin was puzzled.
“I mean, judging by how much in a hurry he was, there’s a strong possibility that their goal aligns with ours, to head to Mt. Chimney!”
“Heh… this just got interesting then. The livelier the place, the more suitable it is for our operations,” Maki smiled, watching Altaria fly overhead before casually increasing the yacht’s horsepower.
……
Seeing the group resembling a Reporter team, Terrance ignored them and commanded Altaria to continue flying towards Fallarbor Town.
……
Meanwhile,
In Verdanturf Town, within the massive mountain behind Rusturf Tunnel.
Following a loud explosion, a deafening scream echoed as a massive Exploud collapsed.
If Terrance was here, he would undoubtedly recognize this Exploud as the same one from nearly two years ago, who was capable of influencing Master Victor’s Pidgeot’s flight with its sound alone, possibly rivaling the powerful Altaria reigning over Mt. Chimney.
Terrance’s Altaria’s “Annihilation” secret technique might have been inspired by it to some extent, but even now, Terrance wasn’t confident of defeating this Exploud.
However, this scene of Exploud powerlessly collapsing was truly terrifying.
A powerful Pokémon like this, in the hands of any Trainer, would be a formidable weapon, a trump card, in competition like the League Conference.
“Sorry… I just received a call, asking me to handle a troublesome matter.”
“And since you were stubborn, I had no choice but to resort to force.”
“We are just digging a few stones, no need to get so worked up, right?”
A young man with silver-blue hair smiled wryly, scratching his head as he looked helplessly at Exploud.
