Ten minutes later, the battle was over!

Arthur and Spider-Man sat on the edge of the roof. Peter took off his mask and sunglasses with a dejected expression on his face.

In fact, the sunglasses were already broken, and the mask had a hole in it, making Spider-Man look even more ridiculous.

“Man… what kind of monster are you? Don’t you ever get tired?” Breathing heavily, Spider-Man looked at Arthur in frustration before speaking.

After ten minutes of fighting, Arthur hadn’t even broken a sweat, while Spider-Man felt like he was about to be kicked to death and had even taken a punch to the face.

Not only had he lost to Arthur, but the fact that Arthur’s stamina seemed endless left Spider-Man feeling a bit uneasy.

Who’s the real mutant here?

“A man should have some stamina, you know?”

Arthur glanced at Spider-Man with a disdainful expression on his face.

“…I really want to curse you right now!”

Peter let out a long sigh, leaning on the edge of the rooftop and gazing up at the sky as if that would help him calm down. “Why are you so good at fighting?”

Even though he had lost, Spider-Man was still a bit annoyed.

In terms of strength, he clearly had the advantage.

His Spider-Sense was also very powerful, allowing him to predict and avoid most of Arthur’s attacks.

However, he always found himself in inexplicable situations where he couldn’t dodge.

Just like at the beginning of their fight, when Arthur used his space cross-over ability to knock him down instantly and followed up with a heart-piercing kick.

At that moment, there was really no way for him to avoid the attack; he could only take it.

Throughout the entire fight, he was constantly subjected to such attacks.

Even if he could anticipate Arthur’s moves, his body couldn’t make the necessary evasive moves!

It could be considered a coincidence once or twice, but repeated occurrences left him stunned!

He realized that Arthur was using his attacks to constantly force him into situations where he had no choice but to take the hits, resulting in his defeat!

“Yeah, you get better the more you fight.”

Arthur stretched lazily while speaking. His body had been enhanced by the Battle Souls, making it very well-balanced.

Although his strength was not as great as Peter’s, his stamina was just as strong.

If his body were compared to a game character, his stats would increase evenly across the board.

In other words, he was a tank!

Of course, such a simple comparison wasn’t entirely accurate.

After all, people aren’t just numbers…

“Well, you must have fought a lot of punks. No wonder they say you’re a hero; I think so too”.

“Even if you call me a hero, I won’t be happy… idiot.”

Arthur rolled his eyes, speaking in a disinterested tone, and wondered if he might get beaten up by some blue-nosed animal for saying that: “Besides, you didn’t hit me, so even if you say nice things, I won’t help you with that sword business.”

“…”

Peter was speechless and let out a soft sigh before speaking. “Cut me some slack here.”

“I thought your sigh meant you were giving up.” Arthur looked at Spider-Man with a puzzled expression. “I didn’t expect it to be a plea.”

“I don’t have anyone else to ask.”

Spider-Man looked at Arthur with a pitiful expression.

After thinking for a moment, Arthur said, “If you want me to help you, fine… but you’re not mature enough yet.”

“Then what am I supposed to do?” Spider-Man blinked, remembering Arthur’s earlier words. “Do I… need to train my stamina?”

Arthur thought for a long time, searching the ground for bricks: “Maybe I should send you to the hospital with a brick before you become a full-fledged madman!”

“You’re the one who said men need stamina!”

Spider-Man was fixated on this idea.

“Stamina is for men, not boys!”

“Grown-up boys are just men, right?” Spider-Man was oddly persistent.

Arthur was momentarily speechless and felt that, well… maybe they were both right!

He scratched his head and realized that he had met a worthy opponent with a rather strange mindset – an opponent no less formidable than Lily!

“Anyway, let’s forget about stamina for now.”

“Then how did you do it?”

“That’s none of your business!”

Arthur replied with a sigh: “Your immaturity is evident in many ways, such as your mask…”

“Speaking of masks, what exactly do you expect to achieve by saying that?”

Spider-Man was certainly not a quiet person.

Arthur started looking for bricks again.

“No, calm down!” Spider-Man quickly grabbed Arthur’s hand and said, “Can we get on with this?”

“What is there to continue with you?”

Arthur felt like this annoying kid was driving him crazy. He took off his mask to catch his breath, feeling quite frustrated.

He wanted to get rid of it, but there was no suitable replacement.

While masks provided good concealment, they were really outdated and lacked any sense of style!

They also smelled unpleasant after long use and weren’t very breathable.

In this respect, he seemed to have no reason to criticize Peter…

But that wasn’t the point. The main point was that every time he tried to teach the kid a lesson, Spider-Man would just retort, “Was there ever a more disobedient student?

“In any case!” Arthur insisted, “You’re still immature! But I can help you with that!”

“What exactly is immature about me?”

Spider-Man was confused, and obviously Arthur’s outdated equipment couldn’t convince Peter with its lack of style.

“So let me ask you, after you find this person, what are you going to do? Kill him?” Arthur asked.

“That…”

Peter was taken aback, opening his mouth as if to say something, but then unable to articulate it.

Kill him?

He couldn’t bring himself to do that!

Turn him over to the police?

He wasn’t going to be satisfied with that!

Imprison him and torture him?

That’s a crime!

For a moment, he couldn’t think of an appropriate solution.

“Surely you can’t just catch him, give him a righteous lecture, and then hand him over to the police?”

Arthur grunted, “Are you going to be satisfied with that?”

“No…”

Peter sighed, “You’re right, I’m not mature enough.”

“That’s all right. Everyone matures one step at a time.”

Arthur held out his hand: “I’m Arthur Chen, you can and will call me Arthur.”

“Peter Parker, nice to meet you.”

Spider-Man paused for a moment before smiling and shaking Arthur’s hand.

Then Arthur asked teasingly, “How pleased are you?”

“Very, very pleased!”

Spider-Man replied honestly.

“…”

Arthur looked around in confusion. After hearing such a serious answer, he wasn’t sure how to proceed – this was…

(The End)
