“What’s going on?”
Lily turned back to look outside with a confused look on her face, but she couldn’t see anything but the chaotic, crowded crowd.
Boom!!!
With a loud bang, something shocking happened.
A taxi, which was obiously thrown by an inconsiderate person, flew into the restaurant!
In an instant, the tranquility was completely shattered.
Ten seconds ago, the restaurant was playing soothing music, but now it was surrounded by the hysterical screams of women.
Lily was also stunned: “What’s going on?”
Arthur didn’t hesitate for two seconds before speaking decisively: “We can probably dine and dash this time around.”
“Huh?” Lily’s reaction time was always so slow.
“Huh, what huh, let’s go!”
Arthur pulled Lily and ran like a bat right outof hell. A damned taxi had been thrown into the restaurant, obviously something serious was happening outside.
Everyone around them was also running out, obviously also trying to dine and dash.
Staying here was pointless; even if they wanted to pay, no one would be around to take their money so why wait any longer?
Lily was dragged out of the restaurant and into the street by Arthur, only to find the entire street in complete chaos.
Cars were jammed together, people were running around frantically, some screaming as they tried to fight the chaos.
There were even soldiers running around with guns, constantly firing at a huge bald man, at least ten feet tall.
This guy seemed invulnerable to blades and bullets, as he casually picked up cars and motorcycles from the side of the road and threw them around like toys!
Obviously, this guy was the reckless and inconsiderate person who had thrown the taxi in the restaurant.
“Street performance art, done to this extent?”
Arthur was stunned!
“What is this?”
Lily said in disbelief when she heard Arthur’s words: “What kind of performance art can reach this level? And… how much would it cost to compensate for all the damage he’s causing?”
“…Your thought process is quite unique, maybe you should learn to cook from me,” Arthur commented casually after hearing Lily’s words.
“…You know how to cook, but you always make me cook?”
Lily’s focus was apparently quite normal!
The two of them were having this casual exchange while not standing still as spectators.
In fact, they were now in a situation where people were crowded together. Arthur held onto Lily’s hand so as not to be separated.
In such a harsh environment, the fact that they could still have this conversation was something special.
Just then, heavy footsteps quickly approached; the giant bald man was charging towards them.
The surrounding crowd immediately scattered, flying in all directions!
Lily froze, not knowing what to do, but Arthur quickly scooped her up and charged through the crowd to the side of the road.
A few scattered soldiers immediately stood in front of them, desperately firing their weapons at the enemy.
“His color is really ugly!”
Lily, still shaken, spoke up. Her voice was low, meant to be a whisper to Arthur.
But somehow the giant bald man heard her, even though he was aiming at the soldiers at first, he still jumped at Arthur and Lily!
Lily was terrified: “What does he want?”
“He probably heard what you said and thinks you’re right!”
Arthur, dragging Lily with him, started running again, joking: “So he thinks you have good taste and wants to marry you!”
“I don’t want to be his wife!!!”
“Then run faster…”
They ran frantically, but Lily wasn’t in the best shape. She was naturally small and weak, and constantly staying up late to draw drained her energy.
After only a few steps, she couldn’t run anymore, so she gritted her teeth and said: “You go ahead! Don’t worry about me.”
The next moment, Arthur grabbed her by the collar and lifted her up, running with her in tow!
“I feel like a piece of luggage!”
Lily curled up her limbs, afraid of getting scratched or bumped: “How are you so strong?”
“Take a guess!”
What is wrong with this child? Even at a time like this, he is still in the mood to talk about such things.
Considering Arthur’s speed, even carrying Lily, it wasn’t difficult to outrun the ‘performance artist’ behind them.
As they gradually put some distance between themselves and the guy behind them, a beastly roar echoed from directly in front of them.
They both looked up to see a short, stocky figure, all green and shirtless, charging at them, beating his chest like a wild animal.
Arthur and Lily found themselves in the middle of it.
“Damn it, are you trying to kill me?”
Arthur was stunned!
Lily muttered, “That color… so pure!”
The one in front was the Hulk, and the one behind had to be the Abomination, right?
Arthur had seen the movie where these two had a showdown in the streets of New York…
‘But of all the days to fight, you had to pick the one where I’m having lunch with Lily? You must be part of the universe’s grand plan to mess with me, right?’
Arthur’s mind raced with sarcastic thoughts as he suddenly darted to the side of the road.
These two were like human T-Rexes.
Hulk could even take on gods, which made it a dangerous role to be involved in their fight. Arthur had no sense of security when it involved these two blockheads.
But he knew history well enough to understand that once these two met, they’d be at each other’s throats until one of them fell.
So if he got out of their way and gave them space to fight, the Abomination should stop chasing him and Lily, right? After all, the Hulk was his real opponent.
But to Arthur’s shock, Abomination completely ignored Hulk and continued to pursue them.
“You son of a… !!!!!!”
Arthur swore in frustration. What kind of chaos was that? Are you a false Abomination? Why don’t you go after the Hulk and chase us instead? Just because Lily said you were ugly?
‘Small-minded idiot, no wonder you’re a villain!’
As his mind raced with sarcasm, Arthur kicked down a wall!
Not caring what was inside, he darted in.
Lily was stunned: “Are you even human?”
Boom Boom!!!!
Loud crashes sounded behind them, and a huge hole appeared in the wall as Abomination burst through.
“The real non-humans are here!”
Arthur shouted back, not stopping for a second as he dashed further inside.
