The Eye of Horus led the way as Arthur swiftly appeared in the corridor of the Warship.
The overall dark design made Arthur squint slightly. He could already hear the synchronized footsteps and lightly tapped his earpiece: “Peter, while you’re checking the spaceship, can you also hold off their attacks? Can you manage that?”
“Do you think I’m a god?”
Peter’s frantic voice came through: “Where the hell are you?”
“Ten minutes, maybe a bit less. I just need you to hold on for ten minutes!”
Arthur said seriously.
“Even I can’t do that, Boss!”
“Then do whatever you can to stay alive, or at least avoid getting caught!”
“That’s no problem!”
After receiving this answer, Arthur cut off the communication and vanished from sight.
Two squads of Kree soldiers appeared where Arthur had just been, looking puzzled as to why no one was visible, despite clearly hearing voices.
……
……
At the deepest part of the Warship, there was a spacious hall. Two Kree in black robes sat on either side, holding dark spheres, controlling the movements of the entire Warship.
A green-skinned woman with a somewhat delicate appearance stood in a high position with a cold and proud look on her face. Her deep blue eyes sparkled with an icy light.
A virtual screen appeared before her, showing footage of Peter Quill who was masked and inspecting the spaceship. The Kree soldiers were at the door. The cold-faced woman spoke slowly: “Withdraw the fighters. All soldiers, move out and capture them alive. They killed my fiancé; I want to execute them myself!”
There was no response, but she wasn’t surprised.
The Warship and everything around it operated according to her will, so no response was needed— just the execution of her orders.
However, her brow suddenly furrowed: “Where did the other one go?”
The screen shifted to show a black-clad figure with a mask, flashing through a corridor.
Her expression changed abruptly as she spoke: “Track that person!”
The screen began to blink frequently, but the tracking wasn’t smooth. Every time Arthur’s location was briefly found, the image would switch again.
The blinking was so rapid it was almost as if the screen were malfunctioning.
The woman’s eyes remained fixed, her brow furrowing deeper: “What… kind of ability is he using?”
There was no response, and the woman’s brow remained tightly knit. Suddenly, a familiar scene flashed on the screen.
Her face turned pale with shock, even though she was still green-skinned: “He’s on his way here!”
As soon as her words left her mouth, a man in black clothing and a mask appeared in the hall.
He immediately raised his gun and fired at the woman without any sign of greeting.
In fact, if not for the mask, one would see his eyes were bloodshot with rage!
The Kree’s pursuit had enraged him completely, leading him to make the desperate decision to assault the Warship under impossible circumstances, breach its interior, and assassinate the commanding officer!
The surrounding situation confirmed that this woman was indeed the commander. As a master of decapitation, he had no need to exchange words with a dead person!
Kree soldiers, emerging from unknown locations, blocked the woman’s path. One of them was shot in the chest, creating a large crater.
Simultaneously, several Kree soldiers armed with weapons emerged from all sides, aiming at Arthur.
Arthur’s lips, hidden beneath the mask, curled into a cold smile. He vanished from his original position and reappeared among the Kree soldiers, now wielding a semi-automatic rifle.
Energy Close combat!
Damn energy Close Combat!
Despite his mind being filled with murderous intent, Arthur couldn’t help but curse in his heart. As he moved, his rifle transformed, the barrel narrowing to pierce through a Kree’s skull in an instant. The rifle roared, and another Kree’s head was obliterated into nothingness.
Arthur pulled his gun, spinning the rifle in his hands before slamming the butt of the gun down like a hammer!
With a thunderous crash, it smashed into a Kree soldier’s head, crushing it on the spot!
At the same time, his other hand switched to the pistol, firing three shots in quick succession, each one fatal!
In just a few breaths after plunging into the midst of the Kree soldiers, half of them were already dead or injured!
The green-skinned woman’s expression remained unchanged, her gaze flashing with dangerous intent. As the commander of a Warship, she was far from an ordinary person.
She possessed various extraordinary abilities beyond the mundane!
Her eyes locked onto Arthur’s back, and just as she was about to act, Arthur’s figure suddenly vanished.
“Not good!”
She spun around sharply, only to be met with a military blade, which pierced through her throat!
A pistol suddenly appeared in the hand that had released the blade, pressing against the woman’s chest…
Bang! Bang! Bang!!!
Three more shots without hesitation: “Did you think I would deal with you after I finished killing all of them?”
Arthur’s voice was as cold as ice: “But novels and movies have taught me that it’s better not to wait for the BOSS to transform before attacking!”
Despair flickered in the woman’s deep blue eyes, as the light in her eyes faded. She tried to speak but couldn’t utter a word due to the blade in her throat.
Her body slowly fell, and the surrounding Kree soldiers were utterly stunned.
The robed figures operating the Warship attempted to flee, but the gunfire soon silenced them, leaving everyone sprawled in pools of blood.
Arthur checked the time: “Three and a half minutes!”
He had used every possible means to speed up his progress.
Uncertain of the central control location, The Eye of Horus was pushed to its limits, blinking and searching frequently.
Coupled with his constant use of teleportation, it was almost overwhelming, but it allowed him to find this place and execute the decapitation in the shortest time possible!
After all, Peter Quill was facing potential death at any moment, and Arthur couldn’t afford any delays!
As he prepared to leave, the wall covered in peculiar runes behind him suddenly started to glow.
Arthur instinctively looked back, only to see a face appearing in front of him.
“Damn, your face is huge!”
Arthur was stunned; the face was as large as the wall!
“Who are you?”
The man, seeing everything happening on Arthur’s side, suddenly showed immense grief in his eyes: “Did you… kill her? Who are you?”
Arthur thought for a moment before replying: “Guess?”
Before the man could guess, Arthur vanished from sight with a flash!
There was no time to waste chatting with this guy; he still needed to check on Peter Quill’s situation. Just because this guy had a big face didn’t mean he was impressive!
