Genestellars rarely met accidental or surprised deaths or injuries, primarily because of Prana’s remarkable defensive capabilities. It granted Genestellars exceptional defensive abilities, ensuring that even if their bodies were hit by bullets, they wouldn’t lose their lives.
Compared to enhancing other aspects of physical abilities using Prana, boosting defensive power was relatively straightforward. Increasing attack power required some training but it was achievable.
However, enhancing other attributes was challenging, and most Genestellars only focused on improving their defensive power. Only a few ventured into augmenting their attack power.
Those who attempted to enhance other aspects of their abilities were indeed a rarity. Fang Li experimented a bit with this new-found power.
“Defensive power… It’s easy to enhance with Prana, and it’s quite simple.”
“Attack power… It’s a bit challenging, but it can be done with some practice during combat.”
“For other aspects… I can gather Prana, but I might not be able to utilize it fully.”
For instance, if Fang Li concentrated on Prana to enhance his explosive power, theoretically, he could achieve extremely high-speed movements. However, it was a highly difficult task.
It required not only precise control over Prana but also perfect control over one’s physical strength. A slight miscalculation could result in losing control entirely. While this might be manageable for simple tasks like jumping high, it was far more demanding in a combat scenario.
“If it’s about Attributes, just enhancing AGI (Agility) can strengthen reflex nerves and motor nerves, providing an all-around boost in Agility without worrying about losing control.”
“But Prana is just one type of energy, and it can only enhance specific aspects. The control is entirely up to the user.”
This was not unusual. In the four Attributes, the three related to the body had inherent enhancements.
For example, increasing STR also strengthened the body, preventing harm from recoil when the attack power was too high.
Enhancing VIT (Endurance) improved bone density and even metabolism, increasing resistance to various attacks, including toxins.
Similarly, increasing AGI (Agility) enhanced muscle resilience, allowing speed to be fully realized. These inherent enhancements simplified the process for Divine Envoys when allocating Attribute points, so they wouldn’t have to expend too much effort.
However, INT (Mystery) was the exception. This Attribute only increased the energy used to perform miracles. In Fang Li’s case, boosting INT (Mystery) increased the amount of Prana he has, making it more resilient and increasing the extent of enhancements.
Aside from enhancing energy, there were no hidden enhancements in INT (Mystery). This meant that apart from boosting energy, other aspects had to be explored individually by the Divine Envoy.
“From this perspective, perhaps choosing Jie Long was the right decision.”
With these thoughts in mind, Fang Li finally found a moment to observe his surroundings. He was in a room with a distinct Chinese-style decor, and it had an ancient aesthetic.
Fang Li had unknowingly changed into a traditional-style uniform, reminiscent of attire worn for martial arts practice. The upper garment was pink, and the lower garment was red, resembling a Daoist Priest’s attire, giving him an air of ancient Chinese charm.
“… This feels really down-to-earth,” Were Fang Li’s initial thoughts.
In the orchestrated arrangement of the Main God’s Dimension, Fang Li found himself in the role of a newly enrolled student. The attire he now wore was the uniform of the Jie Long Seventh Academy.
In the War-Academy City, each of the six academies had its own unique style and ethos.
Seidoukan Academy’s emblem bore the symbol of an indomitable red lotus, known as the ‘Scarlet Lotus.’ The academy promoted freedom and student autonomy, with lenient school rules. It was known for its tradition of having a significant number of “Strega(Witch)” and “Dante (Magus)” students.
Saint Galahadworth Academy’s emblem represented order with a haloed sunburst, known as the ‘Aureole.’ This academy valued rules and loyalty as absolute principles, with strict school rules.
Internal strife among students was strictly prohibited, and the students were known for their disciplined conduct, earning them the nickname of the “Knight Academy.”
The Jie Long Seventh Academy bore the emblem symbolizing the “Yellow Dragon,” representing the Emperor among the Four Gods. Its atmosphere was somewhat chaotic, filled with bureaucratic and laissez-faire ideologies. The academy embraced a strong Eastern aesthetic and was renowned as the largest of the six academies.
The Arlequint Academy’s emblem depicted the messenger of the wise Goddess Minerva, the ‘Dusk Owl.’ The institute followed a results-oriented ideology, dividing students into research and practical classes. It excelled in the field of techniques, surpassing all other academies in this regard.
Queenvail Female Academy’s emblem represented hope with the mysterious ‘Idol.’ The academy had a lively and radiant atmosphere. In addition to combat ability and qualifications, students had to meet certain appearance criteria for admission. It was the smallest among the six academies.
Rewolf Black Academy’s emblem bore the symbol of the dominant ‘Dual Swords,’ and its atmosphere was highly martial, encouraging students to engage in duels. This often led to conflicts with Saint Galahadworth Academy, as both academies had a strong inclination toward combat.
All six academies were dedicated to nurturing Genestellars.
In this world, Genestellars were considered outliers and faced discrimination and rejection from ordinary humans.
Just as in the natural world, animals with different appearances were often shunned by their own kind, Genestellars with extraordinary powers were similarly considered outcasts and couldn’t escape societal ostracization.
However, War Academy City was the one place that recognized and accepted Genestellars.
For this reason, Genestellars from all over the world gathered here and lived under the management of the Integrated Enterprise Foundation.
Among them, Jie Long was a school steeped in Chinese tradition.
“But, I didn’t choose Jie Long because it feels familiar here. It’s because this place can make me stronger,” Fang Li thought to himself.
With that in mind, Fang Li reined in his Prana, unbuttoned his collar, and let his upper garment hang open like a coat. He then left his room.
“Kacha…”
As the door swung open with a sound, Fang Li stepped outside. He had barely left his room when he spotted a group of students dressed in Chinese-style uniforms rapidly gathering in one direction, running and making a commotion.
Among them, one phrase stood out:
“Hurry! The Student Council President’s apprentice selection test is about to begin!”
Hearing these words, a glint flashed in Fang Li’s eyes.
