They were happily eating fruit while Hancock fought tirelessly against the armor. How cruel of them.
Feeling annoyed, Hancock wanted to walk over and snatch some fruit for herself, but her body was too exhausted to move much. It was truly frustrating.
Why had things ended up like this?
Lying on the floor, Hancock felt a bit lost.
Salome slithered over with the book in its mouth, hissing near her ear.
Revitalized a bit, Hancock got up and said, “I’m leaving!”
“You’ve been gone a while; your friends must be worried about you…” Robin said sympathetically.
“Who cares if they’re worried.” Hancock hugged the book, quickly flipping through it to confirm that more content had indeed appeared. Satisfied, she nodded. “I’m just going back to read! This place is awful!”
She bit her lip, putting on a pitiful expression. “You… you will let me leave, right?”
Robin felt as though an arrow had pierced her heart. This girl, Hancock, truly had an overwhelming charm…
Robin glanced at Liam, who was similarly affected, nodding as he ate his fruit. “Naturally, naturally. If you want to go, you can go.”
Another arrow to the heart… Robin lowered her head, continuing to eat fruit.
“But you can only read that book here,” Liam reminded. “It’s connected to this house. You won’t be able to take it with you.”
“Huh?” Hancock was a bit dumbfounded. This was unexpected.
The book she was most eager to read couldn’t be taken out.
She couldn’t read it at home and could only see it here.
Did that mean she’d have to either stay and finish reading it now or return later if she wanted to continue?
Why did she feel like she had been tricked…
Hugging the book, Hancock asked, “Will you still be here?”
Liam nodded, “As long as you don’t tell anyone about us, we won’t leave.”
“Why would I tell anyone?” Hancock said nonchalantly, then asked, “Hey, are you guys… bugs?”
“What? Of course not.” Liam thought to himself, *Is something wrong with this girl?*
Hancock looked unconvinced as she hugged the book, asking, “How do I leave?”
Liam pointed to the wall, and suddenly, a hole appeared out of thin air.
Meanwhile, in the outside world, B.I.B., sitting inside Den Den Mushi City Fortress, stood up and tapped on the distorted wall to open a door.
The fortress created an opening, connecting B.I.B.’s portal to the outside.
Inside the fortress, Hancock peeked through the hole in the wall, and sure enough, she could see outside… It was already dusk.
“I’m leaving!” Hancock shouted as she jumped through the hole.
The book in her arms didn’t go with her. Before it could exit the area covered by B.I.B.’s Shiro Shiro no Mi (Castle-Castle Fruit) ability, it reverted to a mass of flowing white fluid, returning inside the fortress.
The retreating figure of the girl left behind a trail of grumbling complaints…
With a soft *pādā*, a pool of white fluid merged back into the floor of the City Fortress.
Robin asked, “What exactly is in that book that she likes so much?”
“It’s just tailored to her interests,” Liam casually replied. “Do you want to read it?”
Robin nodded.
Liam snapped his fingers. “Oye, your turn.”
Only B.I.B., with his Shiro Shiro no Mi (Castle-Castle Fruit) ability, could instantly conjure up a book like that.
If Liam had to do it himself, it would’ve taken him ages to write it out word by word…
A stream of white fluid rose from the floor, forming a copy of the book Hancock had been reading and delivering it to Robin.
Robin picked up the book. Meanwhile, Liam, arm-in-arm with the platinum armor, seemed to be deep in discussion as they walked away.
As they were leaving, Liam called back, “By the way, when we head out later, I’ll need to recall the ghost.”
“Got it,” Robin responded, already absorbed in the book.
After just a few pages, she was baffled. What was this? The main character was Hancock, but why were her parents named Liam and Robin?
No wonder Liam had introduced himself with a fake name to Hancock. Robin had thought it was out of caution, but now she realized it was because of these strange details written in the book…
…
At the beach, with a soft *biu*, a black-haired girl appeared out of thin air.
Hancock, now barefoot on the soft sand once more, let out a sigh of relief.
Looking down, she saw that strange bug again.
“You said you weren’t a bug?” Hancock muttered, crouching down to tap on the camouflaged Den Den Mushi with her finger. “Don’t run off. I’ll be coming back…”
The camouflaged Den Den Mushi, noticing her for the first time, immediately had hearts in its eyes, drooling with delight…
Hancock wasn’t surprised. This was the usual reaction to seeing her.
…
In the dim light of the Amazon Lily Island coast at dusk.
“Nee San (Elder Sister)!”
“Nee San (Elder Sister)!”
“Hancock!”
“Boa Hancock!”
The female warriors of Amazon Lily Island were searching everywhere, calling out for her in the night.
They had split into small groups, each ensuring there was at least one warrior skilled in Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki) to aid in locating Hancock.
“Nee San (Elder Sister)!” Marigold, the orange-haired youngest sister, was crying as she shouted desperately on the beach, her voice hoarse, “Where are you, Nee San (Elder Sister)?”
Cosmos, who was with them, tried to comfort her. “Don’t cry, Hancock is strong. She’ll be okay.”
Mari wiped her tears. “But… it’s been so long, and we still can’t find her…”
“Mari!!” Suddenly, the voice of her sister, Sandersonia, called out from not far away. Marigold hurried over, asking, “What is it, Sonia? Did you find Nee San (Elder Sister)?”
Sandersonia, the green-haired middle sister, was wiping away tears. In front of her, on the sand, lay two shoes that were all too familiar to her and Mari… They were Hancock’s shoes!
Both sisters immediately burst into tears, wailing, “Nee San (Elder Sister) must’ve fallen into the sea and been eaten by Sea Kings!!”
Cosmos wanted to tell them that was impossible, but seeing those shoes, and recalling how they had spent the entire afternoon searching for their nation’s beloved black-haired girl without a trace…
Perhaps something bad really had happened…
“Why are you crying? How embarrassing!” Suddenly, a familiar voice spoke up beside them.
Sandersonia and Marigold shivered in fear. Had Nee San (Elder Sister)’s ghost appeared?
Marigold wailed, “Wah! Nee San (Elder Sister), I’m sorry! I shouldn’t have said you were eaten by Sea Kings…”
Sandersonia was about to cry too, but Cosmos slapped her on the head, scolding, “What are you saying? Hancock is back!”
The two tear-streaked sisters looked through their blurred vision and indeed saw their familiar Nee San (Elder Sister) standing there. However, Hancock’s expression was not pleasant, and she was glaring at them.
“Who got eaten by Sea Kings?” Hancock asked softly.
Sandersonia and Marigold hid behind Cosmos.
Salome slithered over, retrieving the shoes and handing them back to its mistress. Hancock snorted, put her shoes back on, and said, “We’ll talk about this when we get back!”
Sandersonia poked her head out from behind Cosmos and asked, “Nee San (Elder Sister), I’m just glad you’re safe.”
Marigold followed suit, “Yeah, we were both so scared…”
Cosmos smiled awkwardly, “Don’t blame them. They were just worried about you.”
Hancock had already turned away, walking toward the towering city.
The scolding words caught in her throat wouldn’t come out. Cosmos remained speechless, comforting herself that it wasn’t just her who found it impossible to say anything harsh to Hancock. Surely, everyone else felt the same way…
…
In the dark forest surrounding Amazon Lily Island, the camouflaged Den Den Mushi made its way to an empty area.
With a soft *biu*, Liam and Robin appeared out of thin air.
The black armor also emerged, standing next to Liam like a phantom.
Robin was still lost in thought over the strange story in that book.
The first half was dull and uninspiring, but the second half… She glanced at Liam. He had written it on purpose, hadn’t he? She wondered how much of an impact this strange story would have on Hancock’s psyche…
With a serious expression, Liam said to B.I.B., “Let’s go find something to eat together first…”
