‘B.I.B.’ used the Shiro Shiro no Mi (Castle-Castle Fruit) ability to instantly write the first half of this book…
The heroine, Hancock, was born on an isolated island in the Calm Belt, naturally endowed with a charm that made her irresistible to everyone.
She was loved by all, admired by flowers, and forgiven no matter what she did. Her parents’ only expectation of her was no expectation at all. They just wanted her to remain a beautiful little angel, allowing others to feel lucky to live in a world where she existed. That was enough for them…
It was the ultimate self-indulgent fantasy. Yet, for Hancock, reading it felt incredibly relatable. To be honest, the book was basically written about her!
Even the name was the same.
However, her late mother wasn’t named Robin…
Also, she felt that the heroine in the book wasn’t nearly as beautiful as she was…
And what was this “father” thing?
Hancock read in confusion but decided to overlook it for now, thinking of the “father” as just another relative of her mother since the plot was passable enough.
Just as she reached the part where the heroine finally escaped from everyone and happily arrived at the Grand Line—the windy world she had long yearned for— Hancock was filled with anticipation.
What would the islands in the open sea be like? What would the real wind feel like on her face? Would it be comfortable? Would the Hancock in the book encounter creatures called men? What about Giants, dwarves, or animal people?
But when she flipped forward, there was nothing more!
The story abruptly stopped there. Hancock, feeling annoyed, nearly threw the book to the ground but suddenly noticed that black text was appearing on a blank page…
“Want to know what happens next? If you do, head to the next floor… You’ll get what you’re looking for…”
What’s this?
Why did words suddenly appear on a blank page?
Hancock wasn’t startled and she remained calm. She flipped through the book repeatedly but couldn’t figure out what was going on.
“Really?” Hancock blinked.
The text on the book vanished, and a new line appeared: “Yes, really. Please, go to the second floor. /Bow”
“Fine, I’ll go.” Hancock stood up, still holding the book. “Where’s the second floor?”
Barefoot, her feet as pristine as jade, Hancock wandered around the first floor, looking for an entrance to the second floor.
In front of the screen on the top floor, Robin was slightly taken aback, “She believed that just like that?”
She was so easy to fool. Robin couldn’t understand it. If it were her, she would have been on high alert and trying every way to escape.
Liam stroked his chin thoughtfully and said, “Maybe… she doesn’t even have the concept of ‘I could be deceived,’ does she?”
“…” Robin found herself unable to refute that.
She thought about the scenes she had witnessed these past few days in Amazon Lily Island. Hancock could easily be considered the little princess of the entire Amazon Lily kingdom.
Wherever she went, people liked her. Regardless of Hancock’s attitude, others were always kind to her. No matter how wicked Hancock’s actions were, others would always smile and forgive her.
Praise and flowers surrounded her constantly, and if not for the presence of the Snake Princess keeping order, Hancock would likely have already joined the Kuja Pirates.
Growing up in such an environment, Hancock simply didn’t believe anyone would be wicked enough to deceive her. After all, who wouldn’t be charmed by someone so cute and beautiful?
Hancock slowly climbed the stairs to the second floor, still holding the book titled “The Room.”
Her beloved snake, Salome, slithered behind her, hissing softly.
As Hancock continued walking, the space ahead suddenly opened up.
Hancock was surprised; the second floor seemed like a very clean and spacious area…
Salome hissed softly. Hancock looked over and saw Salome coiled on a stone monument standing near the staircase exit.
Three characters were inscribed on the monument: “Heavenly Bridge.”
“Where’s the bridge?”
Hancock found the name on the stone monument confusing. She slapped the book in her hand forcefully and demanded, “I’m on the second floor now. What’s next? Hurry up and let me read the rest of the story!”
She shook the book vigorously, as if ready to shake it to death if the fairy inside didn’t keep its word.
“If you want to read the rest of the story, you’ll have to defeat the Guardian of the Heavenly Bridge.”
Suddenly, a voice spoke.
Hancock raised an eyebrow and followed the voice, seeing flower petals swirling in the air, forming the shape of a silver-haired girl. The girl appeared thin and frail, wasting a rather pretty face.
“What Guardian?” Hancock asked, displeased. “And who are you? Where am I?”
Robin pointed to the side, where a mass of white fluid emerged in the center of the open area and solidified into a black suit of armor.
A headless suit of armor.
“The Heavenly Bridge has many levels, and the strength of each level’s Guardian increases progressively… Each time you defeat a Guardian, you can read the next part of the story,” Robin recited the lines Liam had given her. “As for me, you can call me Jolyne, Jolyne Kujo.”
“Oh.” Hancock’s response was indifferent as if maintaining a sense of superiority. “I am Boa Hancock. Why should I defeat this so-called Guardian… Beating that thing will let me see the rest of the story?”
She couldn’t resist pointing at the headless black armor standing in the center of the open space.
Robin smiled and raised a finger, “Naturally, but there’s a condition. You must use Haki to fight.”
Hancock slightly lifted her chin, looking disdainfully at the strange headless black armor.
“That armor? Is there a person inside of it?” Hancock walked over barefoot as she spoke. “Watch me smash you to pieces.”
As she spoke, a layer of Haki flowed onto her delicate, sculpted foot, which she aimed directly at the armor with a kick.
The headless armor before her suddenly moved at that moment.
On the top floor, Liam closed his eyes, using his newly acquired Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki) to sense the feeling of the Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki) that the young Empress was using in the battle on the second-floor training grounds.
Next to him, the helmet of ‘B.I.B.’ glowed with white light in its visor, clearly indicating that its attention was focused on its lower half, fully engaged in the fight against Hancock.
Robin sat on the other side, not watching the giant wall screen’s display but observing the battle up close through her clone, created with her Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi), on the second floor.
