INIIDF-Chapter 15 Kujō the Great Thief

“Heh, where’d that ghost come from? Frank, you been hitting the bottle too hard?”

“Yeah, wasn’t that Roger guy executed by the Marines two years ago, clear as day in the papers for days on end! Ain’t no way there’s still a ghost lingering around.”

“No such thing as ghosts in this world, plain and simple!”

The restaurant echoed with laughter from a few tables.

The red-faced old man named Frank angrily slammed the table with a bottle, shouting, “I absolutely didn’t make a mistake! Many people saw it with their own eyes. Roger’s ghost wrote that line on the wall—he said it himself!”

A flushed-faced old-timer named Frank slammed his fist on the table, his voice rising in anger, “I ain’t mistaken! Plenty of folks saw it themselves. Roger’s ghost left a message on the wall—spoke it himself!”

Frank, gripping the bottle, leaped onto the table, arms outstretched, as if channeling the spirit of the pirate king. “I, Gol D. Roger! Pirate King! Ain’t dead yet!! My dream ain’t finished! Damn Marines, like clueless pigs! Haha haha haha…”

The old man’s drunken laughter filled the room, momentarily hushing the din.

But soon, coughs mingled with laughter as the patrons continued to jest at Frank’s expense.

Yet…

At that moment, Frank’s bottle slipped from his grasp, hovering in mid-air before cascading over the nearest laughing soul.

Huā Lā La…

The alcohol splattered across the person’s face, quelling the laughter and chatter in the entire restaurant.

All eyes widened at the suspended bottle.

As it emptied, it swayed in the air, not a drop wasted.

Finally, the empty bottle returned to Frank’s stunned hand.

Meanwhile, Liam and Robin slipped away from the restaurant.

…………

They found a secluded dead-end alley.

Liam instructed the pitch-black battle armor to watch at the alley entrance, making sure no one passing by would glance inside.

He then led Robin into the depths of the alley.

Robin, now in a shirt and overalls, with a short haircut and a bit of ugly makeup, holding the pile of clothes and masks Liam bought earlier, looked like a sidekick little boy.

Curious about what Liam was going to do, Robin’s big mouth opened in surprise. It seemed that she is often geeting surprised since she got to know this boy.

The boy in front of her expanded the lower half of his body by two or three times while the upper half of his body remaining the same and he looked as if he were a giant.

Can Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) be used like this?

While Robin was still in shock, Liam, who was already familiar with this operation, continued to activate Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi). Petals flowed with a faint fragrance, wrapping around his upper body, creating an enlarged version of “Liam’s armor” using the same “material,” encasing his entire body.

“Phew, this kind of operation does consume quite a bit of stamina,” Liam sighed softly.

While speaking, he moved the sturdy “limbs” and “torso.” Well, although the experience was strange, the operation was quite smooth.

Watching his torso, which had been doubled in size, and his head, which now looked a bit small in comparison, Robin couldn’t help but ask, “Can it be done like this?”

“How long have you taken my Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) away! Not even a day! You’re already so proficient with it? Developed so many different techniques?”

Liam couldn’t comprehend and say, “What’s so difficult about this?”

He genuinely didn’t find it challenging. Perhaps it was a matter of imagination?

If you think of it, you do it, and it works.

How simple.

Liam used his enlarged hand to take the oversized black windbreaker from Robin and casually put it on. The loose windbreaker naturally covered his not-so-natural doubled-in-size incarnation.

Pulling the hood over, Liam also secured the star-patterned mask that Robin was holding onto his face.

“Haha! How about that? Can’t recognize me, right?” Liam proudly took a few steps, and his voice sounded much deeper from behind the mask.

It no longer sounded like the voice of a young boy. Looking at him from the outside, you would never think that the burly figure in front of you was actually a boy just over ten years old.

Disguise, Camouflage…

This boy had truly taken Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) to the next level.

Robin felt that if she could use Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) to this extent, she wouldn’t have been chased by the Marines so much.

Thinking about it, the little girl’s face dimmed.

Why bother with these thoughts? Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) is not hers anymore…

Just as she was thinking this, flower petals surged from under her feet, wrapping around her legs and ankles, creating thicker-looking limbs, just like before.

Liam still had boundaries; he didn’t tighten the wrap around the little girl’s thighs and torso, just creating a layer of flesh armor using Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi), covering Robin.

Naturally, the arms were tightly wrapped, making it convenient for Robin’s movements.

Robin: “…” The sudden increase in height was a bit uncomfortable.

At eight years old, she was only about 1.2 meters tall. But now, she had grown to at least two meters.

Liam was about the same; he was supposed to be just over 1.4 meters, but now he probably stood at a towering 2.4 meters.

“This mask is for you.”

Liam placed the butterfly-shaped mask onto the silent Robin’s face, then pulled up the white windbreaker’s hood. There was no trace of the original Nico Robin.

“You’ll be called Jolyne Cujoh!”

Liam smiled and rubbed his sandbag-sized fist. “I am Kujo Jotaro, and I will lead you to rob the rich and help the poor! Actually, if you think about it, if you’re rich, you can easily buy a mansion on any remote island and live a secluded life! The Marines’ noses have limits, even if they’re sharp…”

Robin fell silent for a moment and said, “If I hide somewhere and do nothing, what’s the difference between that and dying in the fire on Ohara?”

“Agreed!” Liam nodded.

…………

The night was dark, the wind was high, and the moon was large.

Outside Hogback’s luxurious mansion walls, two tall figures approached quietly.

Such a mansion wouldn’t be empty; there had to be some security measures.

However, Liam had the best landmine buddy— his battle armor Stand.

He turned his head only to find that ‘B.I.B.,’ at some point, had also enlarged, becoming not much shorter than his disguised self.

Stands were energy entities and could naturally be resized. Maintaining the state of resizing, however, required energy consumption. For non-automatic Stands, the consumption directly affected the stamina of the user’s main body… and all the consumption of Liam’s ‘B.I.B.,’ while outside, would be fully fed back to his main body upon recovery. Well, using stamina on credit…

“You, do you not want to be smaller than me?” Liam glanced at his Stand and signaled it to go in and scout.

‘B.I.B.’ silently passed through the mansion wall like a ghost…

In no time, it came out again through the wall. With eyes shining with white light, it nodded to Liam, indicating that it had figured out the situation inside.

“Let’s go!”

Liam immediately took action. Using Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi), he grew arms on the wall, sending himself and the robust ‘man’ Robin into the courtyard.
