[Chapter Cover Serial · Big News 2 · “This asshole, could it be he’s not interested in my Smoke-Smoke Fruit?!”]

[Marine base. After training, Smoker, with his muscular upper body exposed, is reading the newspaper. Yamakaji, standing nearby, looks at him with confusion. Smoker’s head is surrounded by thick smoke, and Yamakaji wonders, can he even see the newspaper clearly like this?]

Liam tossed the faceplate out, and as soon as it left the range of the Shiro Shiro no Mi (Castle-Castle Fruit) surrounding ‘B.I.B.’, it instantly expanded, becoming a giant black curtain that flew upward and returned to its position in front of ‘B.I.B.’s’ helmet.

“Robin, if you were to design your own pirate flag,” Liam noticed the puzzled expression on Robin’s face and asked with a smile, “What would it look like?”

Robin, confused, replied, “Don’t we already have a flag?”

Liam paused for a moment, remembering how he had DIY-ed a JOJO pirate flag back when they were in the West Blue…

Robin smiled and said, “But if I were to design one… it would probably look something like this.”

She initially wanted to casually draw something on the ground of the City fortress, but realized the surface was so clean that not even the faintest trace could be left behind.

So, Robin waved her small hand, causing four arms to bloom and rise up from the ground.

With a gentle push from Robin’s fingers, each arm slowly toppled over one by one, making soft “pā dā” sounds as they hit the ground.

Robin smirked and then pressed her straightened palm against the ground, sweeping gently between the four arms.

Petals scattered onto the ground in a crooked and strange pattern, but it was clear they had formed the shape of a skull.

The four arms, which looked fresh, as if they had just been severed, arranged themselves in a swirling pattern around the skull, creating a lifelike and eerie image.

The skull in the center was distorted and made of petals, almost giving the impression of a strange cult ritual offering up blood to some unspeakable entity.

However, the composition was indeed very similar to the Kuja pirate emblem— centered on a skull, with nine snake shadows spiraling around it.

“What do you think?” Robin admired the design on the ground.

Liam praised, “A masterpiece!”

The black armor hovered in front of Kuja’s gate for a while— before drifting away.

In the watchtower beside the gate, a female warrior let out a small sound of surprise.

“What’s the matter, Molly?” her companion asked, looking out at the calm sea. “Did you see something?”

Molly replied, “I thought I saw a shadow flash by in the sky… Maybe it was just my imagination.”

Her companion laughed, “It was probably just a bird, right?”

Molly nodded.

Meanwhile, the dark shadow circled the massive City walls that stood over a hundred meters tall, it was as if a giant mountain had been cut off at the top and hollowed out, with a City built inside it.

“There aren’t many Kuja outposts in the surrounding forest… The City walls are high enough to ensure safety. Plus, this is the Calm Belt, so it’s highly unlikely any enemies would invade…”

“However, there are some areas that look like they’ve been affected by humans…”

“There are targets on the trees in this area, it seems Kuja’s female warriors come out here to train…”

“There are a lot of wild animals… but not many powerful beasts… Either this island never had dangerous creatures to begin with, or Kuja’s people have already eaten them all over the centuries…”

“They don’t just hunt, they even train out here. No wonder the animals’ living conditions are so dire…”

Listening to Liam’s assessment of the area, Robin couldn’t help but glance at him, thinking about how he hadn’t exactly been kind to the wildlife on the previous island either.

In just a few days on Rusukaina Island, who knows how many beasts had fallen victim to Liam’s hand.

It wasn’t just the ones he could overcome; he even used his Gasu Gasu no Mi (Gas Gas Fruit) powers to unfairly kill prey that weren’t meant to be his…

“Alright, let’s do it here!”

Liam had ‘B.I.B.’ descend near the towering City walls. There didn’t seem to be any traces of human activity in this area. It seemed that even Kuja’s national warriors rarely patrolled this side.

Liam directly jumped out of the City fortress within his Stand. Robin had no choice but to follow, and with a *BIU*, she reverted to her original size, as if appearing out of thin air.

“Aren’t we going inside directly?” She asked, looking up at the towering City walls, feeling a sense of smallness standing beneath them.

However, she knew well that by staying inside Liam’s ghost fortress, they could phase through the walls directly. No matter how high or thick the City walls were, they wouldn’t pose a problem…

“No rush. Before we go in, let’s get ready,” Liam said as he took out the lazy, dozing green Den Den Mushi from his pocket and placed it on the ground.

“You’re not… planning to retract your ghost now, are you?” Robin guessed, surprised. “Wouldn’t that make you feel awful and weaken you for a while?”

Liam smiled at her. “Why do you think I was eating so much on that previous island every day?”

Robin responded, “But you always eat a lot, don’t you?”

Liam paused, “…That’s true! But this time, it’s different.”

With a smile, Liam snapped his fingers at ‘B.I.B.’

‘B.I.B.’ understood Liam’s intent as its eyes glowed white. It extended its right hand, covered in red flame-like patterns, and bent down to tap the small head of the green Den Den Mushi.

“Bulu?” The little green snail looked up in confusion. Why tap me?

‘B.I.B.’ reached its hand directly into the snail’s mouth.

“Bulu Bulu Bulu…” The little snail transformed its mouth into the entrance of a fortress, allowing ‘B.I.B.’ to insert its entire arm inside.

Inside the snail fortress, which had a completely bizarre aesthetic, the black armor’s hand reached out, opened its palm, and a portal emerged. *BIU BIU BIU*… All of Liam and Robin’s belongings were dumped out into the snail fortress, forming a pile. A piece of paper slowly floated down on top of the pile, bearing Crocus’s signature.

Outside, ‘B.I.B.’ retracted its arm and exchanged a glance with Liam.

According to Kuja law, men were strictly forbidden from entering.

Inside, the women, especially the female warriors, were all Haki users.

Though Liam wasn’t someone known for his caution, he knew that before entering the dangerous Kuja territory, he needed to restore his strength to its peak. ‘B.I.B.’ had not returned to him for more than a week and was now lagging behind his main body by that much power.

Liam’s strength grew every day. ‘B.I.B.’ understood that with over a week’s delay in its power, it could no longer match the main body.

It extended its left arm, covered in blue flame patterns, and plunged it into Liam’s chest, extracting the core of the Gasu Gasu No Mi (Gas Gas Fruit).

The black armor proceeded to enter Liam’s body.

“Ah…”

Although Robin couldn’t see exactly what ‘B.I.B.’ and the little green snail were doing, as expected, Liam started to cry out.

Crossing her arms, Robin used her Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi) to sprout eyes and ears on the trees at the thirty-meter perimeter around them. Until Liam recovered, she took on the task of keeping watch.

Curious, Robin glanced up at the towering City walls that seemed to reach the sky. With a thought, she activated her Flower-Flower Fruit (Hana Hana no Mi).

Flowers bloomed at the top of the City wall, growing into Robin’s eyes, followed by ears. Soon, more petals fell, and a full Robin head emerged…

As a genius girl who earned her PhD in history at eight, Robin was able to multitask. While keeping watch within a thirty-meter radius, the head atop the City wall also curiously observed the inner workings of the woman’s kingdom.

The architecture had a unique style…

Women of various physiques roamed the streets…

By the river, she even saw a strong woman easily dragging a several-hundred-pound fish ashore…

Robin’s eyesight was good enough that she could vaguely see, in one of the plazas within the kingdom, two women engaging in a duel while a crowd watched.

Robin, who was not skilled in combat herself, couldn’t tell how they compared to Liam. However, their skills, which made it hard for her to follow, were undoubtedly impressive for women…

Back on the ground, Robin suddenly heard a strange noise and turned to see Liam’s entire body emitting steam.

It looked as if he had been thoroughly cooked, with steam rising off him in thick clouds…

“Liam, are you alright?” Robin reached out to touch him, but his skin was so hot that she flinched. When she placed her hand on him, the heat made her frown, worry filling her eyes.

The armored hand, covered in flame patterns, extended out of Liam’s body and gently removed Robin’s hand from his scorching skin.
