GGS-Chapter 1019 Three Studies Part 2

“It seems that the research is going quite smoothly,” Su Jing said with a smile.

“It’s been smooth so far, and the principle is not fundamentally different from current laser technology. However, we haven’t completely figured out the underlying technology and how to achieve this level of performance,” one of the researchers replied.

“You should keep researching, but don’t rush things just because you are getting some breakthrough. Safety comes first,” Su Jing advised.

“Okay, we’ll do our best,” The researcher replied.

Su Jing then left the research room and went to the adjacent room where another group of researchers was working. At first glance, it wasn’t clear what they were researching, as it wasn’t as flashy as a laser gun.

However, in Su Jing’s eyes, if they succeeded in their research, it would be even cooler than a laser beam.

“How is the research going?” Su Jing asked as soon as he entered the lab.

“We haven’t figured it out yet,” One of the researchers replied with a helpless expression on his face.

But they were also excited, and one of the middle-aged men said, “Boss, this is the finished product. Does that mean someone has already researched and developed this virtual network? Who is so amazing?”

“You don’t need to worry about that. Just focus on figuring it out as soon as possible,” Su Jing said.

“We’ll do our best,” several researchers nodded and said.

This so-called virtual network was a common thing in the universe of “Legend of the Supreme Soldier,” but on Earth, it was considered high-tech technology.

Different planets could connect to the same network by using this technology, and even scarier was the fact that by wearing a helmet, a person’s consciousness could enter the virtual reality created by the virtual network, making it seem just like the real world.

Su Jing didn’t expect to achieve that level of technology all at once, but if they could develop some basic concepts and apply them to Earth’s network, it would still be very useful.

Su Jing walked to another research room next to the one he was just in. In this research room, a group of scientific researchers were also immersed in their research.

They were surrounding a disk-shaped object with a diameter of about ten centimeters, but they had not yet figured out what it was yet. However, they had tentatively identified it as something similar to a projector.

“What’s the matter? Haven’t you figured out what this is?” Su Jing asked.

“Not yet, it’s possible that this thing is broken,” Several researchers shook their heads while one of them replied to Su Jing’s query.

“It’s also possible that it’s not broken. Don’t jump to conclusions so early. If it is really broken then your job is to find a way to fix it and not make excuses,” Su Jing said.

“We’ll do our best.” Several researchers were quite helpless when they heard Su Jing’s words but they also knew that he was right.

What they didn’t know is what this thing is. They had opened up this thing, and apart from the initial recognition that it should be related to a projector, they had no idea what it was. If it was really broken, how could they fix it?

They could only check each component one by one, looking for burnout or short circuits, and try their best to salvage the situation.

So far, the Peak Science and Technology Research Institute had added three new fields of research to its repertoire, in addition to antimatter, neuroprosthetics, artificial intelligence, and light armor engines.

Such a broad range of research areas was definitely a rare thing among the various industries. Zheng Nan and Wang Zhuo were both stunned when they heard him suddenly add three new fields of research, but they did not object to it.

If an ordinary person did this, being so scatterbrained, it was likely that they would end up empty-handed with no gains. However, like always, things were different when it come to Su Jing.

After Su Jing finished his tour, he prepared to leave. Just as he walked out of the research room, his phone rang. Seeing that it was An Jihao calling him, he was momentarily surprised but quickly answered.

After Su Jing cured An Jihao’s father’s Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), he invested in the Galactic Corporation Group and they had deep cooperation and a good business relationship between them.

However, An Jihao usually talked to Zheng Nan and not directly to Su Jing.

“Hello, Mr. Su, did I disturb you?” An Jihao said politely.

“Hello, Mr. An, No you didn’t disturb me. I just happened to be free,” Su Jing smiled.

“Then are you free the day after tomorrow? There’s a gathering and I’d like to invite you to join us,” An Jihao asked with a smile on his face.

“What kind of gathering?” Su Jing was momentarily stunned when he heard Ah Jihao’s words.

“It’s a gathering of high society people. Fu Hongxue, one of the four young masters, will also be there. You must have heard of the Honghe car brand that his family owns, right?” An Jihao said.

“Honghe Cars are one of the top leading brands in the country. How could I not have heard of them?” Su Jing said. Although the four young masters were named by bored netizens, each one of them was not to be trifled with and had a terrifying background.

For example, this Fu Hongxue might not be as capable as Huo Yunshu and might even be a little worse than him, but he was completely a playboy. However, his father was not much different from Huo Yunshu’s father.

Sometimes having an amazing and terrifying father with good business sense was enough to make up for anything.

“What’s rare is that the engine used in Honghe cars is also mostly developed by them. Aren’t you currently recruiting talent in the engine field? You can exchange ideas with him,” An Jihao said.

“How did you know that I am recruiting talents in the field of engines?” Su Jing asked with a smile.

“Ha ha, I accidentally saw your job posting,” An Jihao replied with a smile, clearly showing a keen interest in Su Jing.

“Okay, I’ll go. Please send me the specific address,” Su Jing said after some thought. There should be many engine professionals under the Honghe Group, and she hoped they wouldn’t disappoint her.
