“No wonder Mephisto-Sama favors her. Lavinia San’s proficiency in Magic is on par with many senior Magic users, and her tactics and Magic coordination are splendid,” Sona remarked as she watched the battle from the edge of the training ground while Rias and the other girls nodded in agreement.
Each of the opponent’s spells was powerful and intricately connected, leaving no room for error, and any lapse would result in a fierce counterattack. Tenraku paid the price for his momentary carelessness.
However, Tenraku didn’t have much to worry about such attacks. With a loud bang, he was thrown into the air and then slammed back down, grimacing in pain. He shook his head and got back up.
Although he had many small cuts from the wind blades, they healed in the blink of an eye. What truly bothered Tenraku was not the minor injuries but the dizziness and nausea from being spun around in the whirlwind.
“W-worthy of Lavinia San. I let my guard down and paid the price.” Tenraku said with a somewhat embarrassed expression on his face.
“Although I’m still somewhat immature, I am a genuine Magic user. Underestimating me comes with consequences. Red Dragon Emperor, can we now have a serious fight?”, Lavinia smiled and winked playfully as she spoke.
Already a renowned beauty, her charming gesture made her even more captivating. But now wasn’t the time to admire such things!
“Then I’ll take it a bit more seriously too.”
Not wanting to be ridiculed again, Tenraku muttered to himself before activating the Iron Scales of the Berserker Dragon.
This Sacred Gear, created by Tenraku himself and sealed with the soul of the Berserker Dragon, Grendel, would now demonstrate its power.
“Hǒǒǒuuu!!!” A tremendous dragon roar echoed, and an endless aura of ferocity emanated from Tenraku’s body.
Under the astonished gaze of Lavinia and the others, Tenraku’s muscles quickly swelled, and his entire body grew larger, transforming from a muscular man into a muscular dragon.
Not only that, but deep green scales appeared on Tenraku’s body, and with a whoosh, a pair of enormous Dragon Wings unfolded from his back.
“W-what Sacred Gear is that?” Rias couldn’t help but be amazed.
Having a deep understanding of Tenraku, Rias and her peerage were familiar with most of his Sacred Gears, but they had never seen this one before.
“Grendel, Creation, Sacred Gear,” Ophis appeared, offering a succinct explanation.
Rias and Sona exchanged glances, once again displaying their shock. While Ophis’s words were brief, they quickly understood the meaning behind them.
“Ophis, are you saying that this Sacred Gear was created by Tenraku using Grendel’s soul?” Sona inquired, seeking clarification.
“Mm,” Ophis responded vaguely, pulling out a snack and munching on it.
After exchanging a glance, Rias and Sona once again showed their astonishment. They didn’t doubt Ophis’s words, especially since they could sense the aura of the Berserker Dragon, Grendel, emanating from Tenraku.
But what truly surprised them was that Tenraku could create Sacred Gears!
Had their Tenraku really reached this level?
Amidst their astonishment, a deep sense of excitement and pride welled up in the hearts of the girls. Tenraku’s continuous growth filled them with joy.
“Tenraku looks so handsome like this…” Akeno’s cheeks flushed as she gazed dreamily.
The other girls, nearly stumbling, couldn’t believe Akeno’s focus at a time like this!
But come to think of it, there was a point. Because of his enlarged physique, his clothes were torn, revealing his muscular body, which was quite charming.
Also not knowing what to think, Irina’s cheeks flushed red…
“Is this also one of your Sacred Gears, Red Dragon Emperor?” Feeling the powerful pressure emanating from Tenraku, Lavinia’s expression turned serious.
“Yes, it’s called the Iron Scales of the Berserker Dragon.”
“Be careful, Lavinia San, here I come!” With a slight smirk, Tenraku warned before stomping his foot. With a resounding boom, the ground cracked, and like a cannonball, Tenraku shot towards Lavinia.
“So fast!” Watching as Tenraku shot towards her in the blink of an eye, Lavinia’s hair stood on end, and alarm bells rang in her mind.
With a swift punch, Tenraku caused an explosion of fire, and Lavinia burst into flames with a resounding boom!
Of course, Tenraku didn’t have a penchant for destroying beautiful things. What he had just obliterated with his fist wasn’t the real Lavinia.
Teleporting to the air not far away using a magic array, Lavinia’s face turned pale, and she felt a lingering fear. If she hadn’t timely used her substitute magic and jumping magic, she would have been the one hit!
“How about that, Lavinia San? Isn’t the power of my Sacred Gear impressive?” Grinning, Tenraku looked at Lavinia in the air.
Covered in a layer of solid scales, Tenraku now resembled a humanoid fierce beast, and his smile seemed somewhat ferocious.
“It is indeed a terrifying power.” Taking a deep breath, Lavinia admitted, knowing that even she could be crushed by that ferocious and powerful force if she wasn’t careful.
But she wasn’t the type of woman to give up easily!
Waving her wand, Lavinia quickly unleashed hundreds of magics: fireballs, thunder and lightning, wind blades, ice spears… All the attacks flew towards Tenraku below.
Boom!
Thunder rumbled, fire blazed, and the deafening explosions made eardrums ache. The barrier above the training ground flickered madly.
Allowing those attacks to fall on him without dodging, Tenraku continued to walk steadily towards Lavinia.
Being of the Dragon Race, he had great immunity and resistance to magic. Ordinary magic posed no threat to them at all. Although Lavinia’s magic was very powerful, breaking through Grendel’s strongest scales was still somewhat difficult.
Although Tenraku felt some tingling and heat, it was nothing more than that!
“Lavinia San, why don’t you try taking another hit from me?” Raising his hand, Tenraku aimed a palm at Lavinia in the air.
A blood-red energy sphere condensed in Tenraku’s palm, then with a hiss, it turned into a powerful shockwave shooting towards Lavinia in the air.
Her expression changing, Lavinia quickly unfolded defense magic, and the powerful shockwave flew toward her and collided.
