In the grand hall, Rossweisse carried a thick stack of documents and handed each one to Tenraku and the girls of Rias’s group. The material Rossweisse distributed was a thesis she wrote during her student days about Sovereign Beast 666 – Trihexa.
In the previous battle in the Underworld, Rizevim and his group attempted to kidnap Rossweisse to help them undo the seal on Sovereign Beast 666 – Trihexa. Consequently, both Rias and Sona expressed their interest in reading Rossweisse’s thesis, and even Azazel’s faction requested a copy.
“Rossweisse truly lives up to her reputation. She had already researched Sovereign Beast 666 – Trihexa to such an extent during her student days. Despite the information about Sovereign Beast 666 – Trihexa in the Holy Bible’s Book of Revelation being merely summarized,” Rias exclaimed as she perused Rossweisse’s thesis.
“It was merely a result of my enthusiastic interest back then, but it indeed took considerable effort to find some usable data,” Rossweisse reminisced with a nostalgic expression on her face.
“What’s the significance of the number 616? Wasn’t the count of Sovereign Beasts supposed to be 666?” Sona queried, pointing to a particular section in the thesis.
“Although the prevailing interpretation suggests that the count of Sovereign Beasts is 666, some researchers argue that the original interpretation might have been 616. That’s where I began my research,” Rossweisse explained.
“I see. Since Rizevim and his group acknowledge your research, it suggests that 616 might indeed be the true interpretation. The deity of the Holy Bible may have used 616 to encode the sealing technique for 666,” Rias speculated.
“Azazel-sensei’s faction shares the same view, and they’ve already begun collecting information about 616. If the inference is correct, we might be able to reverse-engineer how much time the Khaos Brigade needs to undo the seal on Sovereign Beast 666 – Trihexa,” Sitri Sona and Rossweisse discussed, while Yubelluna and Le Fay occasionally raised questions and points of confusion.
Even Ile and Nel, the mischievous little girls, watched with interest, creating an atmosphere of profound and professional academic discussion in the room.
However, Tenraku, sitting aside, pretended to flip through Rossweisse’s thesis, then clicked his tongue and set it aside. He couldn’t even understand the magical texts and basic terminology, so what was the point of reading it?
While Rias and the others continued their discussion in the room, Tenraku took Ophis to the rooftop to enjoy the breeze and the moonlight.
The rooftop of the Kamiya Family wasn’t just an ordinary rooftop; it was a vibrant garden filled with various exotic flowers and plants, with some Demonic Beings shimmering like fireflies flitting about. Tenraku casually plucked two large fruits from a tree by the path and handed one to Ophis, keeping the other for himself.
In the center of the garden were two loungers, one small for Ophis and one large for Tenraku. When the weather was nice, Ophis liked to bask in the sun here, and occasionally, Tenraku would join her. Beside the loungers stood a small temple built by Irina and Koneko-chan in their spare time for Ophis.
Dragons, no matter where symbolized power and were worshipped as gods. Even an ordinary dragon was much stronger than a typical demon, so they were often revered as gods.
As the true Dragon God-sama, it would be beneath Ophis not to have her own shrine. Although building a shrine was troublesome, a small temple for her was still feasible.
Hence, the bored girls in the group actually built a small temple for Ophis in the rooftop garden. They decided that in the future, instead of going to shrines or temples to worship those roadside deities on special occasions, they would just worship Ophis at home.
For this reason, Irina and the others specially placed a majestic throne in the temple for Ophis and also placed a donation box nearby.
When special occasions arose, they would have Ophis sit on the throne, and everyone would worship her in front of the temple. The money put into the donation box would be considered a tribute to Dragon God-sama. When they had accumulated enough, they would use it to buy snacks for Ophis…
Placing Ophis on her lounger, Tenraku lay down on his own, and the two of them enjoyed the breeze while munching on their fruits. It was quite pleasant, except for the regret that they couldn’t see the moon and stars tonight, as the entire sky above Kuoh Town was covered by thick clouds. Although there were no signs of rain, the atmosphere felt gloomy.
But that didn’t seem to be a problem—
“Ophis, can you get rid of that cloud up there? It’s blocking the view,” Tenraku requested.
“Okay,” Ophis replied simply, then raised her hand and waved it. Instantly, the gigantic cloud floating above Kuoh Town dispersed into fragments and disappeared.
The dazzling starry sky revealed itself, and the pure moonlight spilled onto the earth. Tenraku nodded in satisfaction, indeed, it looked much better this way.
However, while Tenraku and Ophis found it pleasing, the ordinary people of Kuoh Town were undoubtedly frightened. It was estimated that headlines like “Shocking! Mysterious Disappearance of Clouds!” would grace the newspapers of Kuoh Town tomorrow. But these matters were of no concern to Tenraku and Ophis.
After finishing their fruits, Tenraku raised his hand, and instantly two jade jewels flashed into his hand. Sensing the unusual aura, Ophis tilted her small head to the side.
“Dragons?”
“Yes, these jewels contain the souls of two evil dragons, Grendel and Ladon.”
With Ophis’s strength, she could naturally see the souls of Grendel and Ladon sealed within the jade jewels, and Tenraku didn’t find it strange.
Originally dull and lifeless, the two jade jewels suddenly began to shimmer. It was obvious that Grendel and Ladon, sealed inside, were trying to break free. However, the seal imposed by Tenraku was extremely robust, so they wouldn’t be breaking out anytime soon.
Tenraku didn’t take out the jade jewels containing the souls of Grendel and Ladon for fun. Instead, he had a good idea suddenly.
So far, Tenraku has developed several abilities with his Sacred Gear, Sacred Gear Plunder, such as Sacred Gear Sharing and Sacred Gear Creation. Tenraku had used Sacred Gear Sharing many times, not only saving him a lot of effort and time in developing Sacred Gear but also greatly enhancing the strength of the girls around him.
As for Sacred Gear Creation, so far, Tenraku had successfully turned the Gods and Demons Scripture into a Sacred Gear, but all other attempts had failed without exception.
Throughout, Tenraku had made many summaries and speculations, and he finally arrived at a conclusion—
Perhaps the materials he had used before weren’t suitable!
Looking at the two jade jewels in his hand, a small expectation arose in Tenraku’s heart.
“Let’s use you two for an experiment…”
