According to the schedule, the enrollment experience event was planned for two days, with one day already passed yesterday and today set to continue.
“Göndul and Sairaorg, aren’t they coming today?” Tenraku asked, noticing the absence of Göndul and Sairaorg along with his Peerage.
“Göndul is attending a meeting of magic masters today. As for Sairaorg, something came up suddenly, so he went to Agreas with Seekvaira. They should be back in the afternoon,” Rias explained, to which Tenraku nodded.
Although their absence meant they would be busier, it shouldn’t pose much of a problem.
As class time approached, parents and children arrived punctually, and everyone was assigned tasks. Today, Tenraku’s task was to teach the children about Sacred Gears.
Generally, Devils who possessed Sacred Gears were either reincarnated Devils or half-blood Devils. Pure-blooded Devils wouldn’t host Sacred Gears. Cases like Sairaorg, where he possessed a Sacred Gear with its own consciousness and recognition, were extremely rare exceptions.
Nevertheless, it was essential to familiarize these children with Sacred Gears and how they functioned. Sacred Gear wielders could influence the world’s dynamics, and their future allies or enemies might be Sacred Gear wielders. Without some knowledge or methods to deal with them, they might suffer significant losses in the future.
As perhaps the strongest Sacred Gear wielder in existence, no one was better suited for this task than Tenraku. While Azazel claimed to be the foremost researcher of Sacred Gears, he was primarily a researcher, whereas Tenraku’s understanding of Sacred Gears surpassed anyone else’s in the world.
He explained some characteristics, performances, and precautions regarding Sacred Gears to the children. In response to their requests, Tenraku also showcased some of his own Sacred Gears.
If they wanted to see the Red Dragon Emperor, he showed it to them. If they wanted to see the White Dragon Sovereign, he showed it to them. If they wanted to see the colossal Susanoo, he showed it to them.
Witnessing these powerful and impressive Sacred Gears, the children’s eyes sparkled with excitement, and they exclaimed in awe.
Feeling like he was performing magic tricks, Tenraku couldn’t help but feel a bit bemused. But to satisfy the children’s curiosity and support Sona’s dream, he had to do it.
“Now, what are your dreams for the future?” Tenraku asked, clapping his hands during the break.
This was also part of the planned curriculum, encouraging the children to share their dreams while also boosting the atmosphere.
As expected, after hearing the question, the children eagerly spoke up:
“I want to become the champion of the Rating Game!”
“I want to work at the research institute under the Demon King!”
“I want to become one of the Demon King’s royal guards!”
“I want to establish a huge harem like the Red Dragon Emperor Elder Brother!”
The first few dreams were quite normal, but what was that last one about building a huge harem? Tenraku followed the voice and saw an 8-9-year-old chubby boy standing proudly among the crowd, his head held high.
“While that may be a dream, why do you have such a dream at such a young age?” Tenraku asked, curious, as the chubby boy didn’t seem like the type to be mature beyond his years.
“Because the girls around me laugh at me for being fat and don’t like me.”
“Hmph, if that’s the case, I’ll collect them all into my harem in the future and see if they still dare to laugh at me!”
With a shake of his chubby cheeks, the boy declared boldly.
The others burst into laughter, and even Tenraku couldn’t help but be amused. This chubby boy had quite the spirit.
The chubby boy seemed to want to say more, but his parents couldn’t bear to watch anymore and quickly came up to pull him away, giving him some loving education.
As Tenraku prepared to continue the class after this small incident, suddenly, there was a change.
“Quick, look! What’s that?”
“The sky turned white!”
Some children seemed to have noticed something, and Tenraku and the others followed their gaze.
As expected, the sky had indeed turned white! The sky in the Underworld was originally purple, but now a white canopy was rising at an alarming speed, continuously encroaching upon the real sky. Before long, the entire sky visible to everyone had turned white.
At that moment, an eerie chill swept over, sending shivers down everyone’s spines. Many children were startled, and their parents showed signs of unease.
With a slight frown, Tenraku instructed the staff nearby to maintain order and reassure the parents and children. Then, he activated his Hermes’ Boots, and two pairs of golden wings sprouted from his feet, propelling him into the air.
Hovering in the sky, Tenraku observed the situation around him. The white canopy seemed to be some kind of barrier. Under Tenraku’s observation, he saw that the entire town of Auros and the nearby Agreas were shrouded within it.
What an excessively large barrier! It had appeared here without warning, and it gave off a distinctly uncomfortable feeling. Clearly, this barrier was not something good.
With a flash of light, the True Longinus materialized in Tenraku’s hand. “Holy Spear, pierce through it!” he commanded.
Tenraku thrust the spear, and the golden Holy Spear rapidly extended, then struck the barrier with a resounding boom. Normally, even the most robust barrier would crumble before the unstoppable force of the Holy Spear. However, to everyone’s astonishment, the barrier was not pierced. Instead, Tenraku’s Holy Spear shattered into pieces!
A cold gleam flickered in Tenraku’s eyes. Who else could it be but Rizevim!
“Damn Rizevim, causing trouble at a time like this!” Tenraku’s expression darkened.
“Attention, all parents, children, teachers, and staff participating in the enrollment experience on the playground, please immediately enter the school campus. I repeat, all parents, children, teachers, and staff participating in the enrollment experience on the playground, please immediately enter the school campus,” Sona Sitri’s voice echoed through the broadcast system, and Tenraku descended from the sky.
Although he wanted nothing more than to find that bastard Rizevim and give him a thrashing, for now, he had to prioritize getting the parents and children to safety.
“Everyone, please remain calm and follow us to take shelter on the school grounds.”
“Mittelt, Kalawarner, come help.”
“Yes, Lord Tenraku.”
