EPHS-Chapter 469 Sharing the Holy Grail

In the days that followed, nothing much happened, and Tenraku Rias and the girls finally enjoyed a peaceful period. Tenraku fulfilled his promise and took the girls from the Kendo Club out for a day of fun on the weekends.

Elmen and Valerie gradually adapted to their new lives. Being in the same class and with similar grades, Elmen integrated into a small group with Ravel, Kunou, Le Fay, and Koneko-chan, often acting together with them.

Valerie, on the other hand, spent her afternoons in Yubelluna’s office, receiving tutoring. Though not exceptionally bright, she was far from being dull and continuously absorbed the knowledge and common sense she lacked. Valerie was growing more confident.

Tenraku saw this as a positive development. He instructed Yubelluna to start teaching Valerie some magical knowledge after some time. With half of the Vampire Tepes royal bloodline, Valerie’s innate qualities surpassed many, and proper training would undoubtedly yield remarkable results.

Meanwhile, there were updates from the Underworld. Sirzechs, Azazel, and Michael gathered the leaders of various factions and shared intelligence about Rizevim. This unsurprisingly caused shockwaves among the major powers.

They proposed forming elite teams from each faction to counter Rizevim, but the idea ended in failure. Despite the alliance forming, centuries-old conflicts and resentments lingered. Mutual suspicion and distrust persisted among the allied factions, especially when dealing with matters of individual interests and significant security issues.

While Rizevim’s threat was shocking, it didn’t directly endanger their safety and interests. The intelligence came solely from the Red Dragon Emperor, with many doubting the existence of otherworldly realms and the Sovereign Beast 666 – Trihexa.

Sirzechs, Azazel, and Michael felt helpless about the situation. Politics was always complex and troublesome. The plan to assemble a special team to combat Rizevim had to be temporarily shelved. Currently, the best course of action was for each faction to strengthen its defense and observe the unfolding events.

When Rias and Sona somberly informed Tenraku about these matters, he merely smiled, indifferent to the news. Whether for the Holy Grail or Lilith, Tenraku intended to handle Rizevim himself. From the beginning, he hadn’t relied on anyone else.

In the evening, at the Kamiya Family residence—

After dinner, some watched television in the hall, others paired up to soak in the bath, while Marion, Burent, and diligent Asia were busy tidying up the house. Valerie assisted them.

“Valerie, Master Tenraku wants to see you in his room,” Tosca said, approaching.

“Master Tenraku is looking for me?” Valerie confirmed, and Tosca nodded with a light smile.

“Yes, please wait a moment.” Valerie quickly wiped her hands, straightened her clothes, and followed Tosca to Tenraku’s door.

“Go in; Master Tenraku is waiting for you inside.”

Tosca opened the door for Valerie, who entered the room. Tosca closed the door without joining her inside.

“Master Tenraku, did you need something from me?” Valerie soon spotted Tenraku, seated and writing something. She approached.

“Sit.”

Without looking up, Tenraku instructed, “Oh…”

Finding a spot, Valerie sat obediently.

A few minutes later, Tenraku finished what he was doing, dispelled the Gods and Demons Scripture, and stood up.

“Not bad.”

Surveying Valerie, Tenraku nodded. Having learned a lot recently from Yubelluna and making friends at school, Valerie appeared much more cheerful and confident than before.

“Master Tenraku…”

Lowering her head, Valerie felt a bit shy under Tenraku’s gaze.

“Do you know what this is?” Tenraku asked, holding up a cup shimmering with a silver glow.

“Yes, it’s my Sacred Gear,” Valerie replied, examining it.

“Correct. This is the Sacred Gear extracted from within you. Now, I’m going to return it to you.”

“Return it to me? No need, I can’t harness its power properly anyway. You should keep it, Master Tenraku.”

“Hehe, you’re generous,” Tenraku chuckled. “Rest assured, this is one of my abilities—I can share extracted Sacred Gears with others. Haven’t you seen Gasper using the Evil Eye’s power that I took from him?”

“You are the original host of this Sacred Gear, so naturally, you are the most compatible with its abilities. I’ve placed some seals on this Holy Grail; even if you use its power, there’s no need to worry about being corrupted or controlled.”

“Really?” Valerie’s eyes sparkled at Tenraku’s words.

“Of course, do you think I would lie to you? Well, I’ll fuse the Holy Grail into your body now. Bear with it for a moment.”

Without saying much more, Tenraku directly integrated the Holy Grail into Valerie’s body. Although not as intense as when extracting a Sacred Gear, the fusion process still caused some discomfort. However, as the original owner of the Holy Grail, Valerie smoothly completed the fusion process without much time.

“Now, try using your abilities and see how it goes,” Tenraku said, watching Valerie, who was sweating and catching her breath from the Sacred Gear fusion.

“Alright, Master Tenraku.”

Valerie activated her Sacred Gear’s ability according to her memory, and two gray lights instantly emanated from her hands. These lights were the healing rays released by the Holy Grail, possessing the miraculous effect of “Rise from the Dead,” even surpassing Asia’s “Holy Mother’s Smile.”

“My abilities have been restored, and there are no more of those voices from before,” Valerie exclaimed with joy.

Previously, whenever she used her abilities, Valerie’s mind would be flooded with thoughts and voices from others, tormenting her to the point of near mental collapse. But now, that feeling was completely gone.

Tenraku nodded. The reason he chose to share the Holy Grail with Valerie was to address this issue. The power of the Holy Grail was potent and dangerous, requiring the sealing of its risky functionalities to prevent it from affecting the host.

Furthermore, Tenraku shared only one Holy Grail with Valerie. Although just one, it still had the healing effects of “Rise from the Dead” and could reach the Forbidden Move state. Sharing two Holy Grails with Valerie wouldn’t enhance her abilities much; instead, it would burden her body. So, one Holy Grail was sufficient, even optimal.

“Alright, go back and rest. In the future, spend some time developing the abilities of your Sacred Gear. Any abilities you develop will also be shared with me. If you manage to create a powerful Forbidden Move someday, I might benefit from it too.”

Tenraku gently touched Valerie’s forehead and smiled, while Valerie nodded vigorously.

“Yes, Master Tenraku, I will definitely work hard!”

Watching Valerie leave his room, Tenraku fell into contemplation. Since he had already shared one Holy Grail, might as well share the other.

After some contemplation, Tenraku quickly found a suitable host for the second Holy Grail…
