EPHS-Chapter 423 Troublesome Figures

In the high-rise embassy room, Tenraku lazily sat by the window, enjoying the view outside. Mittelt, a petite fallen angel with a variety of cosplay hobbies was clad in a cute all-white maid outfit and stood respectfully beside Tenraku.

Mittelt, now part of Tenraku’s possessions, continued her hobby of dressing up in different costumes every day, playing various roles. Today, she was dressed as a maid, eagerly awaiting her master’s evaluation.

“Ugh… mmm…”

Apart from Mittelt, Kalawarner sat on the window’s ledge with her hands supporting her body. A beautiful blush adorned her face as she endured something with great effort. It was inevitable because Tenraku was toying with her pristine, ivory-like legs.

Unlike Mittelt’s petite stature, Kalawarner was tall. Her long, slender legs were Tenraku’s favorite, and he occasionally enjoyed playing with them.

Kalawarner’s body trembled lightly from the tingling sensation, a somewhat uncomfortable but delightful feeling. However, she endured it, as having her legs favored by Lord Tenraku was the greatest honor.

Though Kalawarner could force herself to remain expressionless, her cleverness told her that Tenraku preferred her current reactions and appearance.

As the trio of fallen angels— Mittelt, Kalawarner, and Raynare— were together, the latter was busy on the floor, head buried while engaging in something, hoping to extract the life essence from her master.

Well, it truly was a beautiful and harmonious scene…

By the way, they had arrived at Tepes’ Third Heaven now. When the Vampire man led them to this embassy, claiming to report to the palace but never returned, Tenraku felt a bit annoyed. Despite thinking the man was generally reasonable, this time, he felt a bit displeased. If he encountered that guy again, a slap might be in order.

During these three days, no one came to trouble Tenraku and his group. However, many eyes were secretly monitoring them around the embassy. It could be considered a kind of disguised house arrest.

Naturally, Tenraku wouldn’t foolishly wait forever. He needed to take the initiative!

At that moment,

“Lord Tenraku, we’re back.” Yubelluna’s group entered the room, saluting Tenraku.

“How did it go, Yubelluna? Did you gather any information?” Tenraku inquired while looking at his Peerage.

“There are many Vampires secretly monitoring our actions. The common Vampire citizens in the city are also very hostile towards us. Gathering information is quite challenging.” Yubelluna looked somewhat embarrassed as she spoke.

“It’s alright. Tell me what you’ve found.”

“We discovered something strange. According to the information Elmenhilde provided, there’s been a coup among the Vampires on Tepes’ side. The original Tepes king has fled, but it seems the common Vampire citizens in the city are still unaware of these events.”

Yubelluna shared the confirmed information with Tenraku, who squinted his eyes.

“Launching a coup successfully without the ordinary citizens being informed. It seems there are quite a few traitors among the higher-ups. Interesting!”

“Alright, there’s no need to gather more information. Rest for now.”

“Yes, Lord Tenraku.”

After saluting Tenraku again, Yubelluna and her companions left the room.

Gulp Gulp…

A swallowing sound echoed in the room. It turned out Raynare had finally seized the delicious life essence from her master.

“You can leave too.”

Releasing Kalawarner’s legs, Tenraku gently stroked Raynare’s face.

Wiping her mouth, Raynare pouted slightly. She hadn’t eaten enough yet. But the master’s orders were absolute. The three fallen angels saluted Tenraku and then left the room.

“Finally back…”

As Grayfia emerged from the shadows, a faint smile appeared on Tenraku’s face. While Yubelluna and her group were drawing the attention of the Vampires, Grayfia was the one truly gathering intelligence.

“We’ve discovered traces of the Khaos Brigade in Tepes’ territory. They had a hand in the recent coup.”

Without beating around the bush, Grayfia straightforwardly conveyed the information she had gathered.

“So, those guys from the Khaos Brigade have infiltrated here as well…”

“Is it that guy Cao Cao again?”

Tenraku’s eyes glinted, displaying a hint of surprise. When it came to the Khaos Brigade, Cao Cao immediately came to Tenraku’s mind. It had been a while since he heard anything about Cao Cao.

Although Tenraku had taken away his Sacred Gear, Cao Cao was not the kind of man to fall easily. He was likely hiding somewhere, preparing for a comeback.

“It’s not Cao Cao. It’s someone even more troublesome.” Grayfia replied calmly.

“More troublesome than Cao Cao? Who could that be?” Frowning, Tenraku inquired.

“Rizevim Livan Lucifer. Even you should have heard his name, right?”

A subtle, beautiful smile curled on Grayfia’s lips as she pronounced a name.

Slightly taken aback, Tenraku couldn’t help but narrow his eyes. This name was not just familiar; it was thunderous!

Rizevim Livan Lucifer, recorded as “Lilin” in the Holy Bible, was a Devil with a significant presence. He was the true father of Demon King Lucifer, born to the Devil’s mother Lilith. Moreover, he was Vali’s grandfather!

In the era when the predecessors of Demon Kings ruled the Underworld, figures like Rizevim Livan Lucifer, Sirzechs Gremory, and Ajuka Astaroth were collectively known as the “transcenders.” They possessed abilities distinctly different from other Devils and were even suspected of being unique entities among Devils.

After the fall of the previous Demon Kings, a fierce battle ensued between the old Demon King faction led by Rizevim and the reformist faction led by Sirzechs and Ajuka.

However, Rizevim mysteriously disappeared during the intense conflict, while Sirzechs and Ajuka seized the opportunity to claim victory, leading the Devils of the Underworld forward.

Rizevim was the core figure of the old Demon King faction, and individuals like Shalba Beelzebub, Creuserey Asmodeus, and Katerea were considered juniors and minor players compared to him.

Tenraku couldn’t help but feel a headache coming on. If it was truly this guy, it would indeed be troublesome. His abilities were entirely effective against Tenraku!

To be continued…
