EPHS-Chapter 422 Who Gave You the Courage

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

“Who are you?!”

“I am Kamiya Tenraku from Devil Phenex’s house. I wish to meet your Queen, Her Majesty Valerie.” A group of Vampires surrounded Tenraku and his companions, and Tenraku spoke up.

“So, you’re the Red Dragon Emperor?” A Vampire who seemed to be the leader walked forward, a somewhat repulsive smile on his face.

“If there’s no other Red Dragon Emperor in this world, then it must be me,” Tenraku replied while shrugging.

“We did receive communication from Carmilla Faction, stating that the Red Dragon Emperor would visit us.”

“What about them? Who are they?”

Walking back and forth, the leading Vampire looked at Yubelluna and the others behind Tenraku.

“They are my Peerage. Any problem with that?”

“Hmph, just because you say they’re your Peerage, does that make it true? I suspect there might be Carmilla’s spies among them!”

“And what do you plan to do?”

Yubelluna and the others showed signs of anger, but Tenraku asked with a smirking smile.

Knowing their identities, these Vampires were intentionally looking for trouble. Although they didn’t dare challenge Tenraku directly, harassing his Peerage seemed fair game.

Each Vampire coldly approached Tenraku and his group, with one bold individual even reaching for Yubelluna.

However—

“Ah!!!”

“My hand! My hand!”

With a flash of cold light, Karlamine retracted her Demonic Sword. The Vampire who reached out screamed, holding their severed arm.

The expressions of Yubelluna and the others remained indifferent. Only Tenraku had the privilege to touch their bodies; these ignorant Vampires were not qualified.

“Daring to resist!”

“Capture them! Capture them!”

Seeing his subordinate’s arm severed, the leading Vampire became furious, roaring loudly.

“Ha…”

“Go ahead, just don’t kill them.”

Tenraku sighed, covering his forehead.

The world truly had its share of wonders. Tenraku couldn’t comprehend who gave these foolish Vampires the courage to act this way. But since they dared to do it, they must have some awareness. Let them pay a little in blood—a price for their ignorance!

“Yes, Tenraku-Sama!”

Eager to act, the women, having received Tenraku’s approval, revealed cold smiles. Simultaneously, they engaged in combat with the group of Vampires.

“Damn Devils, don’t underestimate us Vampires!”

“Just a group of women. Show them our strength!”

“No, it’s impossible! Ah!!!”

“Don’t retreat; they are outnumbered!”

“These monsters!”

“Help me… Ah!!!”

Though the number of Vampires far exceeded that of Yubelluna’s group, the outcome was overwhelmingly one-sided.

As members of Tenraku’s Peerage, the strength of Yubelluna and her companions now far surpassed their original destinies. Together, they possessed the power to stand against opponents even at the Demon King level.

The Vampires they faced, though numerous, were at most high-class Devils. Under the merciless onslaught of the girls, each one screamed in agony as they fell to the ground.

If Tenraku hadn’t instructed the girls not to kill, these Vampires wouldn’t be lying on the ground moaning; they would be lifeless bodies.

“Don’t… Don’t…”

One unfortunate Vampire, pierced through limbs by Raynare’s Light Spear, looked terrified as Raynare manifested another Light Spear, ready to strike again. The Vampire couldn’t hide the fear in their eyes.

“Enjoy it again properly!”

With a twisted, bloodthirsty smile, Raynare, with her Light Spear, struck down at the Vampire with a horrifying darkness in their expression.

“Aaaahhhhhhh!!!”

A truly gruesome cry echoed as Karlamine retracted her Demonic Sword, leaving the Vampire with their fifth limb severed.

No, not severed— it would be right to say that it was completely crushed to pieces, perhaps!

Pureblood Vampires were said to possess extremely powerful regenerative abilities. Even if their heads or limbs were cut off, they could recover as long as the parts were promptly reattached. Whether parts that were thoroughly crushed into debris could regenerate remained uncertain.

If they couldn’t regenerate, well… zé zé…

From the beginning of the battle to its end, only a few minutes had passed. Yet, nearly a hundred Vampires had been cleared away by Yubelluna and Raynare, leaving Gasper to handle several opponents with his Evil Eye.

“Ah… ahhh…”

The leader of the Vampires showed an expression of disbelief.

However, along with disbelief, fear dominated his eyes.

He hadn’t participated in the battle, not because he didn’t want to, but because he didn’t dare. Vampire instincts fervently warned him that any slight movement would result in ruthless obliteration by the man before him.

“Now, do you still want to inspect my Peerage?” Though Tenraku continued to wear a gentle smile, the Vampire leader shivered when he heard his voice.

Even though he had heard about the might of the Red Dragon Emperor, he didn’t believe the others would truly dare to engage in conflict on their Vampire turf.

However, he was wrong—terribly wrong!

The other party showed no fear and, with just a Peerage, had swept them away!

“N-no need…”

With dry lips, the Vampire leader replied.

“Good.”

“Now, take us to meet your Queen Valerie.”

“I dislike troublesome matters, so please don’t make me repeat myself.”

With a pat on the Vampire leader’s cheek, Tenraku dispelled the imposing aura around him.

Relieved, the Vampire leader felt as if he had just passed through the Gates of Hell. He dared not make any moves, instructing his useless subordinates to quickly pick up their scattered body parts and reassemble them. The Vampire leader then led Tenraku’s group into the royal city of Tepes.

“Red Dragon Emperor-Sama, please rest here temporarily with your Peerage. I will report to Her Majesty in the palace. If she wishes to see you, I will notify you.”

Guiding them to an embassy within the city, the Vampire leader cautiously spoke.

“Hurry up then.”

Waving his hand impatiently, Tenraku said.

Breathing a sigh of relief, the Vampire leader quickly exited the embassy, a shade of gloom crossing his face.

“All of you stay here. I will report to Lord Marius.”

“Yes, my lord.”

To be continued…
