As she watched the Holy Spear approaching her, Roygun Belphegor closed her eyes. Though she still harbored some reluctance, it seemed this was the end of the road for her…
However, at that very moment—
“Cao Cao!”
A thunderous shout echoed through the sky, followed by a cyan Light Arrow tearing through the heavens, aimed straight at Cao Cao!
Alert and agile, Cao Cao swiftly evaded the attack of the Light Arrow. However, the arrow’s trajectory curved in mid-air, once again hurtling towards Cao Cao!
“Yah!”
With a resounding cry, Cao Cao surged with Spirit Qi and thrust his spear. With a deafening boom, he finally pierced through the incoming Light Arrow.
After two more thunderous booms and earth-shaking tremors, Ddraig and Albion’s colossal forms landed on the ground. Then, Tenraku dissipated his divine bow on the dragon’s back and, along with Grayfia and the other women, leaped down.
“Roygun-San, are you alright?”
Tenraku swiftly activated the “Smile of the Holy Mother – Twilight Healing” to treat Roygun Belphegor’s injuries as he lifted her from the bloodstained ground.
One could imagine the intense battle that had taken place here. Roygun Belphegor was now as weak as a wisp of air. If Tenraku had arrived even a moment later, this beautiful family lord might have met an untimely end.
“Kamiya Tenraku, Yomira, hurry and save them.”
Although Roygun’s face was still pale, a hint of color returned. She looked at Tenraku, beseeching him with overwhelming weakness, disregarding herself.
“Don’t worry, your Peerage members are all safe. I’ve already sent Yubelluna to help them.”
Tenraku wiped away the bloodstains from the beautiful family lord’s face and reassured her.
In truth, Roygun’s Peerage had also suffered severe injuries. Several of them had lost consciousness and were on the brink of death. It was thanks to Yubelluna and the precious Tears of Phenex that they were brought back from the edge.
This time, it was fortunate that they had encountered Tenraku and his group. If it had been anyone else, they would have had to watch them die helplessly.
“Th-thank you…”
Finally, a smile appeared on the beautiful face. Roygun didn’t know what complex emotions she was experiencing at that moment. She had given up hope, but unexpectedly, at the last moment, someone had come to her rescue.
Could this young man be the destined prince in shining armor for them?
Setting aside these thoughts, the feeling of surviving such a catastrophe was indeed quite pleasant. Besides, she hadn’t even had the chance to experience the taste of a man yet. She really didn’t want to die so soon.
Tenraku was unaware of the beautiful family lord’s thoughts. Seeing that her injuries had improved somewhat, he handed her over to Grayfia, saying:
“Grayfia-San, please take care of Roygun-San.”
Grayfia nodded and supported Roygun away.
“Roygun, even you have such disheveled moments.”
“It’s Grayfia… It’s really unfortunate. To think you saw me in such an embarrassing state.”
“Instead of worrying about such things, focus on recovering your injuries first.”
Having known each other and apparently having a good relationship, Grayfia assisted Roygun to the rear. Tenraku, on the other hand, turned his gaze towards Cao Cao—
“Cao Cao, you’ve finally fallen into my hands, ah!”
Finally catching this guy, Tenraku was determined not to let him escape this time.
“Kamiya Tenraku, I knew you would come looking for me.”
Seeming to be in good spirits, Cao Cao continued:
“So, these are the legendary Two Heavenly Dragons, right? Although I received some information, seeing them in person is indeed quite astonishing. Even I feel a tremendous pressure in their presence.”
“Kamiya Tenraku, how did you do it?”
Looking at Ddraig and Albion on either side of Tenraku, Cao Cao’s face was filled with deep astonishment.
“This is my unique [Dragon of Supremacy – Juggernaut Drive]. I call it [Extreme Heavenly Dragon of Supremacy – Extreme Juggernaut Drive].”
“As for how I did it, it’s simple. I just completely released Ddraig and Albion from the Sacred Gears by lifting their seals!” Tenraku spoke with a slight smirk on his face and he didn’t mind explaining to Cao Cao.
“It is indeed a blunt and simple technique. But from what I know, you’re the only Sacred Gear wielder in the world who can do something like this!”
“Kamiya Tenraku, you truly are an incredibly interesting fellow!”
“Moreover, what piques my curiosity even more is, aren’t you worried that these two dragons might betray you? These Demonic Beasts or dragons sealed within Sacred Gears must hold considerable resentment. And as long as they kill you, they can regain their freedom.”
After nodding, Cao Cao asked with curiosity.
“Ddraig, Albion, would you betray me?”
Instead of directly answering Cao Cao’s question, Tenraku turned to Ddraig and Albion.
“I haven’t really thought about that, but for now, I don’t think so. I’ve been quite happy working alongside you, Partner.”
“Same here.”
After a moment’s thought, Ddraig and Albion replied.
“You see, that’s how it is.”
Tenraku shrugged and shot Cao Cao a look that seemed to say, “Got it?”
“Haha… Truly worthy of you, Kamiya Tenraku. You’ve already tamed these two legendary Heavenly Dragons?!”
“No, perhaps this was inevitable. Even accepting someone like Ophis, if anything impossible were to happen to you, I wouldn’t be surprised.”
With hearty laughter, Cao Cao patted his chest and finally managed to catch his breath.
Just how many surprises did Kamiya Tenraku have in store for him?
“Alright, Cao Cao, let’s put an end to this once and for all!”
Tenraku was done with idle chatter and exuded a strong aura of battle readiness.
However, Cao Cao scratched his chin and a look of dilemma appeared on his face.
“The Red Dragon Emperor, White Dragon Sovereign, the Silver-Haired Annihilation Queen, and you, Kamiya Tenraku. To be honest, even though I’m quite confident in my own power, I know I can’t possibly match all of you.”
“To act when I know it’s impossible, that’s not how I, Cao Cao, do things.”
Cao Cao’s meaning was clear. Tenraku’s group outnumbered and outmatched him, and he didn’t want to engage in this battle. Although he claimed to be of the Hero faction, he didn’t behave much like a Hero.
Yet, this was precisely what made Cao Cao truly formidable— his ability to assess situations rationally, without letting emotions dictate his actions.
For a skilled fighter like Cao Cao who was set on escaping, even if Tenraku and his group combined their efforts, they wouldn’t be able to stop him. But having finally caught him, Tenraku had no intention of letting him slip away!
“Ddraig, Albion, return to your Sacred Gears for now.” With a determined resolve, Tenraku spoke up.
“Understood, partner.”
Though they didn’t know what Tenraku had in mind, Ddraig and Albion didn’t ask further questions.
With a flash of light, the colossal forms of the Two Heavenly Dragons transformed into two fist-sized jade jewels, flying back into Tenraku’s body.
“This is a duel between Cao Cao and me, Grayfia-San. I ask that you not interfere.” Tenraku spoke with a stern expression on his face. Though Grayfia hadn’t spoken yet, the considerably recovered Roygun was quite nervous.
“Kamiya Tenraku, that Holy Spear is too dangerous. Don’t act recklessly. We should join forces now to defeat him!” Roygun’s eyes gleamed with hatred as she spoke, it was clear that she had not forgotten the humiliation Cao Cao had brought upon her and her Peerage.
“Roygun-San, while I understand your feelings, please give me this opportunity. I will avenge you and your comrades. Though it may seem a bit stubborn, I want to settle things decisively with Cao Cao today. Please forgive my stubbornness.” Leaving the women behind, Tenraku stepped towards Cao Cao, one step at a time.
Roygun wanted to say something, but the words wouldn’t come out. Why was her heart pounding so inexplicably?!
With a cold demeanor, Grayfia remained silent, but there were clearly traces of anticipation in her eyes—
Kamiya Tenraku, let me see just how far you can go!
“Cao Cao, this is our battle. No one else will interfere. Let’s bring this to a decisive end today!”
Standing in front of Cao Cao, Tenraku spoke resolutely.
“Since you put it that way—”
“Then come!”
With a flick of his warspear, Cao Cao emanated an overwhelming aura of battle readiness…
