Xenovia addressed the nun, who was now known as Griselda, she have beautiful blue eyes and an absolutely stunning face, appearing to be around twenty years old. Her smile was gentle, and her aura gave off a sense of holiness and warmth.
“I am Griselda, the manager of this church. Welcome, everyone,” She nodded slightly to Xenovia and welcomed everyone.
Although her whole body was concealed within the nun’s attire, with Tenraku’s trained eye, he could tell that Griselda’s figure was probably extraordinary.
“G-Griselda, why are you here?!” Xenovia exclaimed once again before anyone else could speak.
“Why, don’t you want to see me here, Xenovia?” Griselda stepped forward, smiling playfully.
“N-No, it’s not that, I… I…” Despite her usual bravery in facing powerful enemies, Xenovia was retreating in a panic this time, her expression one of distress.
“When I heard that you were dispatched here on a mission and then soon after that you left the Church, do you know how worried I was? I thought something had happened to you.”
“From a young age, you always listened to Bishop’s teachings and grew up to be a bit of a wild child, doing whatever you pleased. That’s why you ended up with these consequences.”
“And, the most unforgivable thing is, why didn’t you ever contact me? Do you know how worried I was? Do you? Do you?!”
Even though she had seemed so gentle and holy just moments ago, the nun now looked terrifyingly wrathful. She gripped Xenovia’s face with both hands and shook it vigorously as she spoke.
“I-I’m s-sorry, Griselda, I-I was wrong, I was wrong!” Xenovia’s words were almost incoherent as she cried in pain.
Wu Wu Wu…
Her tearful cries in distress amused Tenraku and Irina, the two carefree individuals who couldn’t help but burst into laughter. Only the kind-hearted Asia quickly stepped forward to speak up for her:
“U-Um, Nun Griselda, please forgive Xenovia-san!”
“Although it may not be convincing coming from a Church exile turned Devil like me, but Xenovia-san is truly a good person, and she is our most important friend and comrade. I can’t count how many times she has helped me.”
“So, p-please forgive her!”
Bowing down, Asia earnestly pleaded, leaving Xenovia deeply moved.
‘Asia is always the best, damn Irina was even making fun of her just now! I’m cutting ties with her, ah!!’ Xenovia silently thought in her heart.
“You must be the one possessing the Sacred Gear, 【Smile of the Holy Mother – Twilight Healing】, the Saintess named Asia Argento, right?” Griselda released Xenovia and gently lifted Asia up, her expression now gentle and holy, completely different from the menacing one earlier.
“Yes, I am Asia Argento, but I’m no longer a Saintess,” Asia replied, reminiscing about her unpleasant memories, her head drooping.
“I’ve heard about your situation, and I’m truly sorry for what the Church did to you.”
“Please raise your head, Saintess Asia. It was my fault for losing my composure earlier, and I owe you an apology,” Griselda said as she gently caressed Asia’s forehead.
“R-Really?”
“Thank you, Nun Griselda.”
Asia lifted her head, showing a happy smile. Kind and pure-hearted Asia was not just happy for herself; she was relieved that Griselda had finally forgiven Xenovia.
“Nun Griselda, it’s been a long time,” Irina also got a chance to greet her as she hugged Griselda’s arm.
“Irina, I was worried about you too.”
“Hehe… Since Nun Griselda forgave Xenovia, she can forgive me too, right?”
“You…”
Looking at Irina’s mischievous expression, Griselda shook her head helplessly. Unlike the straightforward and clueless Xenovia, Irina was the type of person who wouldn’t easily be taken advantage of, so Griselda felt more at ease with her.
“Cough, um, can you introduce me to this nun, please?” Tenraku, who had been standing on the side for a while, felt a little embarrassed to be left out of the loop.
Xenovia and Irina seemed familiar with Nun Griselda, and Asia also appeared to recognize her, but Tenraku knew nothing except for her name, leaving him completely clueless.
“Hē Hē Hē…” Glancing at Tenraku’s frustrated expression, Griselda and the other girls couldn’t help but giggle.
“Tenraku-san, Nun Griselda is a very famous believer in the Church. We heard about her when we were in the Church,” Asia explained.
“Yeah, not only that, but Nun Griselda is also a powerful female exorcist. She could easily rank among the top five in the entire Church,” Irina added.
“Xenovia and Nun Griselda come from the same facility. Griselda is like an elder sister to Xenovia. When I and Xenovia partnered together, we were often taken care of by Nun Griselda.”
With each girl adding a few words, Asia and Irina told Tenraku some things about Griselda. Finally, he understood the situation.
In short, Nun Griselda was a formidable figure in the Church and was like an elder sister to Xenovia. No wonder she could keep Xenovia in check and make her feel frustrated.
“I see. My apologies for my ignorance,” Tenraku said, expressing his respect for such a powerful individual and her relationship with Xenovia.
“Hē Hē Hē… Compared to the renowned Red Dragon Emperor, I’m still far behind,” Griselda replied modestly.
After exchanging some pleasantries, Griselda invited everyone to sit in the room.
“Nun Griselda, have you become a Royal User – Brave Saint of anyone?” Irina curiously pointed out the red “Q” on Griselda’s hand.
Similar to the Devil’s Chess, it was said that the Angel faction had recently developed a “Royal User – Brave Saint” system, where each suit’s King could have twelve Royal User – Brave Saints from Ace to Queen.
The “Q” on Griselda’s hand was the symbol of being a Royal User, and she was the strongest Queen among them!
“I’ve been found out, indeed. I have become the Queen of Gabriel-Sama, one of the Four Great Seraphs. As Gabriel-sama rules over the Hearts, I was bestowed with the ‘Q’ of Hearts,” Griselda proudly said with a believer’s fervent expression.
“Ah, that’s such an honor,” Irina said, her hands pressed against her chest.
“That’s indeed a supreme honor, to become the queen of such a person,” Tenraku added.
“Griselda, congratulations,” Irina nodded, and Xenovia also congratulated Griselda.
The Four Great Seraphs were the top figures standing above all believers and angels, apart from the Lord. They included Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel. They were ancient angels with twelve wings, existing since ancient times.
Griselda’s Lord, Gabriel, was the only female among the Four Great Seraphs, rumored to be the number one beauty in Heaven!
Naturally, Tenraku was also interested in meeting this Angel. However, so far, he hadn’t had the chance to see her in person. He hoped he would have the opportunity to see her true appearance and see if she truly lived up to her reputation.
