It was all because in this world, Piccolo is the protagonist.
Everything started many years ago during the battle with Frieza.
The history of this world before Planet Namek was nearly identical to the Dragon Ball world Lin Chen was familiar with.
However, on Planet Namek, history took a different course.
At that time, the resurrected Piccolo fused with the Namekian Nail, gaining power beyond his limits for the first time.
Then, when confronting Frieza, Piccolo, driven by Nail’s grudge, showed no mercy. With his newfound immense power, he immediately killed Frieza, who was in his second form.
This change led to the divergence between this world and the Dragon Ball world Lin Chen knew.
Because Frieza was killed prematurely, events like Goku becoming a Super Saiyan didn’t occur.
It wasn’t until later, when Frieza was resurrected and attacked Earth, and Trunks appeared to warn about the Android threat, that the Saiyans on Earth learned about the concept of a Super Saiyan.
Because of this, the main force who saved this world shifted from Goku and the other Saiyans to Piccolo.
