“Since you’re here, make yourself at home and don’t stand on ceremony.”
North Kai beamed as he spoke to Raditz and Salari.
Seeing his enthusiasm, Raditz and Salari had no idea that North Kai was already planning how to arrange things for them.
Talot knew North Kai’s personality well, especially after spending the last three months with him. He understood that the old man truly loved to play around.
In the original work, North Kai was known for his love of telling corny jokes, but upon getting to know him better, one would realize that this peculiar sense of humor was just one of his many quirks.
To put it simply, after years of living alone on North Kai’s Planet, even with the company of Bubbles and Gregory, North Kai had developed a rather eccentric temperament.
Sometimes he would talk to himself, cracking jokes for his own amusement.
Other times, he would sit in a corner, giggling foolishly to himself, leaving others clueless about what he was up to.
To get to the point, North Kai is up to no good.
Talot knew what Raditz and Salari were about to go through, but he chose not to warn them.
Letting them suffer a bit would do them good. Over the years, their power had continuously grown, and everything had gone smoothly for them, turning them overconfident. They thought they were invincible.
Without any impending crisis, this lack of vigilance could prove fatal if they suddenly faced a powerful enemy.
“North Kai, I’ll leave them in your hands now.” Talot didn’t say anything to Raditz or Salari, but he deliberately addressed North Kai.
The message was clear: North Kai shouldn’t hold back or worry about Talot’s feelings.
North Kai understood, his eyes gleaming.
He had been worried that if he went too hard, Talot might feel bad seeing Salari suffer.
“Don’t worry, I’ve already prepared a complete training regimen for them. What you went through back then, they should experience it too.” North Kai clasped his hands behind his back, looking mysterious, a smile playing on his lips.
Salari and Raditz exchanged puzzled glances, their eyes shifting between Talot and North Kai.
Finally, their gaze settled entirely on North Kai.
For them, it was impossible to comprehend or imagine how North Kai would train them, let alone what Talot had endured during his own training.
After all, in their eyes, this seemingly unimpressive North Kai probably had a power level of only three or four thousand.
If it weren’t for Talot’s three-month experience proving otherwise, they would have genuinely doubted whether North Kai could train them to become stronger.
Both of them found North Kai’s strength puzzling, but they had no choice but to treat him seriously.
However, they would soon apologize for looking down on North Kai.
Because North Kai activated his creation ability, just as he had done to Talot before, and attached special metal blocks to Salari and Raditz’s wrists and ankles.
“What… is this?!” Raditz was startled by the sudden weight restraining him.
The immense pressure on his limbs caused him to lose his balance and fall to the ground.
The metal blocks shackling his limbs were incredibly heavy, far beyond what he had imagined.
Not only could he not move his limbs, but he even felt difficulty in breathing.
He kept trying to break free, but Raditz realized he had no ability to resist at all.
The four weighted metal blocks North Kai had arranged for him each weighed around 2 tons.
Totaling 8 tons, combined with the tenfold gravity of North Kai’s Planet, it was equivalent to 80 tons on Earth.
Just like the 8 tons Talot had endured during his first visit, North Kai, after experiencing Talot’s training, felt it was too little and decided not to reduce it for Raditz and Salari.
Like Raditz, Salari also fell to the ground due to the sudden weight, but unlike Raditz, she was still trying everything to resist.
“This is the training Brother Talot went through… I refuse to believe I can’t endure it…” Gritting her teeth, Salari kept exerting force.
Fortunately, her long-term gravity training had tempered her will and body to be tougher than steel.
While the 8-ton weight was terrifying, it wasn’t something she couldn’t endure.
Salari’s condition was much better than Raditz’s, and she gradually managed to stand up through sheer willpower, even taking a step forward.
This scene left both North Kai and Talot in awe.
Salari’s willpower was even stronger than they had imagined.
North Kai nodded inwardly, deciding to ramp up the intensity for Salari first.
“Your training content is different from his.” North Kai directly conjured a small hammer and tossed it in front of Salari.
This thing, Talot was all too familiar with.
Three months ago, North Kai had tricked him with it. Although the weight of this hammer wasn’t as heavy as the one from his back then, it still wouldn’t make things easy for Salari.
“It’s just a lousy hammer.” Salari forced herself to bend down, grabbed the handle, and tried to lift it, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t budge it.
“What?” Salari was utterly confused. She switched to using both hands and finally managed to drag the hammer slightly, but lifting it completely was still a struggle.
Nearby, Raditz, driven by sheer determination, slowly stood up, showcasing the terrifying adaptability of the Saiyans.
“Good, it seems you’re both ready for training. Let me explain the next phase of your training. This is just the first stage. Once you complete it, you can move on to the second stage…” North Kai explained the training tasks to Raditz and Salari.
The training tasks were simple. Raditz was responsible for catching Bubbles. Once he caught him, he would pass the stage.
Salari’s training task was the same as Talot’s when he first arrived: she had to hit Gregory with the heavy hammer. If she succeeded, she would pass.
After passing, the second stage of training would be even harder. Once they cleared that, they would move on to the third stage, where North Kai himself would teach them some new techniques.
The training content was basically the same as what Talot had gone through over the past three months.
The only question was how long it would take for Raditz and Salari to complete it.
“It’s just catching a black monkey… So what if it’s weighted training? Once I get used to this weight, catching him will be a piece of cake.” Raditz didn’t act recklessly but instead focused on adapting to the weighted blocks on his body.
In his current state, even moving was difficult, let alone catching Bubbles.
In fact, if Raditz had consistently undergone gravity training like Salari, he wouldn’t have been so exhausted.
“Huff… huff…” Nearby, Salari also stopped trying to drag the hammer, as it would only waste her energy.
She needed to start by adapting to the weights on her body. Once she could move freely, she would then attempt to drag the hammer and begin her training.
[They didn’t act recklessly right from the start. These two Saiyans are truly promising, just like Talot was back then.] North Kai silently gave Salari and Raditz high praise in his heart.
