DBEPV Chapter 93 Other World, King Yemma, Snake Way and North Kai’s Planet (Part 2)

Other World.

Talot and Kami arrived at the entrance to the Other World from the human world.

This is the place where the dead of this world are sent.

Of course, this only applies to Universe 7.

Looking ahead, the boundary was a massive bridge. On the bridge, countless white souls resembling clouds lined up, talking and mingling despite being strangers, making for quite a lively scene.

This is the last moment before these souls receive judgment from King Yemma.

Once judged, there are three possible outcomes: going to Hell, going to Heaven, or being directly reincarnated.

Along the bridge, there were also some Ogre Guides maintaining order. They resembled office workers from the human world, dressed in suits and holding batons to guide the souls forward.

In fact, this seemingly ordinary baton was also a weapon capable of intimidating souls.

【Is this the Naihe Bridge? I didn’t expect the Dragon Ball world to have this too. But there’s no Meng Po or Meng Po Soup here.】

【Wait! Isn’t the Fortuneteller Baba basically Meng Po? She just doesn’t stay by the Naihe Bridge and has the added ability of divination.】

With a quiet sigh in his heart, Talot continued forward with Kami.

Their presence immediately attracted the attention of many souls, and even some Ogre Guides were astonished.

However, Kami was a god with a unique aura. Although not a particularly impressive god, he was still not someone whose path ordinary Ogre Guides could block.

After crossing the Naihe Bridge, a short distance ahead was King Yemma’s Palace.

As they entered the grand palace, before they could even catch a glimpse of King Yemma’s figure, a lazy yet heavy voice rang out:

“Next.”

Taking advantage of the moment, Kami and Talot stepped up to the massive desk.

Talot finally got a clear view of the king of the Other World.

When King Yemma saw Kami and Talot, his lazy demeanor vanished and he perked up.

He was King Yemma. How could he not notice that Talot was alive? And how could he not know that Piccolo was Kami?

Moreover, just yesterday, he had received a message from North Kai, informing him that Kami would be passing through his territory with a living person.

King Yemma fixed his gaze on Talot, and Talot returned the look.

Their eyes met, and the atmosphere grew strange.

Kami, standing to the side, had never experienced anything like this before. His soul was practically scared out of his body.

This was King Yemma, after all. As Earth’s Kami, he was nothing more than an ant in front of him.

“So, you’re the Saiyan that North Kai mentioned. I don’t see anything special about you, yet North Kai-sama went so far as to break the rules for your sake.”

King Yemma’s tone was calm, but his authority was unmistakable.

Talot felt a strange sense of fear toward him.

It was as if even the slightest disrespect could lead to his judgment.

This wasn’t a matter of strength disparity—it was a bizarre, suppressive force, like a law that couldn’t be broken.

【This feeling is uncomfortable! Is it King Yemma’s authority? Even beings like Frieza, King Cold, Cell, and Majin Buu after their death were mercilessly crushed under his judgement.】

Although Talot didn’t know the full story, he understood one thing—so long as King Yemma sat here, no one could defy his will unless an even higher law was invoked.

“Greetings, King Yemma. Since Lord King Kai has already informed you, I’ll be taking my leave now,” Kami said, swallowing hard.

He glanced at Talot. To be honest, he had wanted to leave as soon as possible. If it weren’t for bringing Talot here, he wouldn’t have come to the Other World in a million years.

Of course, that was a joke—after death, he would inevitably end up in the Other World. Such were the rules.

“Go ahead, Earth’s Kami. But we should be meeting again soon—you don’t have much time left,” King Yemma suddenly teased. “When the time comes, you can work under me. A lot of people have died in recent years, and the Other World is severely understaffed.”

As King Yemma finished speaking, Kami’s face turned deathly pale, then flushed bright red in an instant, rapidly changing.

“We’ll talk about it when the time comes,” Kami said, brushing it off. He then looked at Talot. “I’ll be leaving now.”

“Mm!” Talot nodded, not caring.

With Kami gone, Talot lifted his head and continued to meet King Yemma’s gaze.

Before Talot could say anything, King Yemma seemed to have already lost interest in him. He waved to the side. “Blue Oni, take this Saiyan to the Snake Way in the north.”

The Blue Oni quickly ran over upon hearing King Yemma’s command and bowed respectfully.

As the saying goes, “the less trouble, the better.” Talot also doesn’t plan to waste any more time here, so he followed the Blue Oni out of King Yemma’s palace.

Under the Blue Oni’s guidance, it didn’t take long for Talot to reach the starting point of the northern Snake Way.

Looking ahead, Talot saw the endless expanse of Snake Way. The familiar scene made him leap onto the snake’s head, unable to suppress his feelings. “So this is… Snake Way…”

As a transmigrator, he was well aware that this was the starting point in the Dragon Ball Z storyline where one’s strength would skyrocket.

It’s often said that Toriyama-sensei drew Snake Way way too long; he probably doesn’t even know the end himself, does he?

After all, it spanned a full million kilometers.

Looking ahead, he saw an endless stretch of golden clouds.

Below them was Hell.

If you fell, you wouldn’t be able to climb back out.

Of course, in the original anime storyline, Goku did fall but eventually escaped through King Yemma’s desk drawer, essentially running the entire Snake Way again.
