“Truly terrifying. Right now, you are even more frightening than Frieza.” Raditz followed up with a sigh.
As these words came out, Salari also nodded in agreement. After all, they had both experienced Frieza’s aura and sensed his strength.
Clearly, the pressure that Talot was emitting at this moment was even stronger.
“I’m afraid it’s not that simple. After all these years of experience, I can’t shake off this feeling—just as we Saiyans can transform, who’s to say Frieza can’t as well? Perhaps that power level of 530,000 is merely the number for his current form.”
Talot’s words sent a chill through Raditz and Salari.
Standing to the side, Gine had initially thought that Talot, having reached an unprecedented height for the Saiyan race with a power level surpassing one million, would now be able to defeat Frieza.
Yet after hearing what he said, a new fear towards the unknown arose in her heart.
“Is that possible? Aren’t you being too cautious, Talot?” Raditz questioned.
“This is just my personal view. In my opinion, Frieza shouldn’t be that weak. If his power level was truly only 530,000, let alone conquering the entire universe—he wouldn’t even be qualified to dominate the North Area!
“Although we haven’t encountered many beings with extremely high power level over the years, that’s because we’ve only been traveling between nearby star systems. But beyond this range, there is an endless universe.
“In other words, we haven’t even ventured beyond one-tenth of the North Area. Maybe what I’m saying sounds alarmist, but since you haven’t reached my current level of power, you can’t fully grasp my feelings. Once you obtain the same power level as I have, you will realize that things are far from being as simple as they seem.”
Through carefully chosen words, Talot conveyed this possibility to them.
Ultimately, what he was trying to make them understand was that, in this world, even a power level of over a million meant nothing.
In truth, Talot had already put it quite tactfully. If he were to be more blunt, he would simply tell them—unless one’s power level exceeded a hundred million, they were nothing more than insects.
Hearing Talot’s words, the three of them exchanged glances.
It wasn’t until Son Gohan came running over with Goku that the oppressive atmosphere finally dissipated.
“I’m planning to go train on North Kai’s Planet. After this breakthrough, North Kai has contacted me again.” Changing the subject, Talot spoke to the others.
Hearing this, Raditz and Salari’s memories resurfaced.
Ever since returning to Earth, they had nearly forgotten that someone like that had offered them a helping hand.
“Can that North Kai really be trusted? And besides, Talot, your power level has already reached a million—do you still need to rely on that North Kai to improve your strength?” Raditz asked.
Salari completely agreed with Raditz. “After all, we don’t know anything about him. Just based on a few words… if it’s a trap, then—”
Before she could finish her sentence, Talot started laughing.
Their concerns weren’t wrong. As normal individuals, it was only natural to have such worries.
“Relax! And if I really run into danger? Worst case scenario, I just escape! My Instant Transmission doesn’t need to lock onto an aura—I can directly traverse space! Plus, with my current strength, I’m confident I can return to Earth from an incredibly vast distance.” Talot reassured them.
This was the only way he could put their minds at ease.
“Then how about we go together? That way, if anything happens, at least we can look after each other,” Raditz suggested.
Even though his power level was far below Talot’s, he still had a power level of 45,000!
Salari nodded in agreement as well, but just as she was about to speak, Talot interrupted her.
Since they are still not clear about the situation, it would be best for him to go alone.
Even though Talot knew everything, for now, it was more appropriate for him to go first.
Once he stabilized himself, he would bring them along for training later.
Unable to argue against Talot’s decision, Raditz and Salari could only accept it.
Deep down, they also understood that with their current strength, forcing themselves to tag along would only drag Talot down.
Leaving Mount Paozu, Talot and Salari returned to West City to find Tights.
After all, she had been waiting for them to resume their journey of exploring the universe.
Since they wouldn’t be able to set out anytime soon, they had to inform her so that she can stay patient for a while.
This time, Tights was surprisingly obedient. Perhaps after experiencing Frieza’s arrival firsthand, she had come to understand that without sufficient strength, survival in the universe was nearly impossible.
Only once Talot and the others had gained enough power could she feel truly safe in her own way.
…..
In the blink of an eye, the next day arrived.
On the Lookout.
Kami had been waiting for quite some time.
Yesterday, as the guardian deity of a planet, he had received orders from North Kai.
The task given to him was to escort Talot across the boundary between the world of the living and dead to reach the Other World.
North Kai was personally keeping an eye on Talot and even wanted to meet this Saiyan. Kami’s feelings were extremely complicated.
After all, he had always treated Talot with extreme caution and was even afraid of him. Yet, all of a sudden, his superior was telling him that this Saiyan was worth nurturing.
What the heck?
In that moment, Kami couldn’t help but feel that he had been truly foolish.
Only now did he realize that everything had been nothing more than his own assumptions.
‘Whoosh~~!!’
A ripple appeared in space.
Talot suddenly appeared out of thin air before Kami.
“You’re here.” Kami’s attitude towards Talot had undergone a drastic change from before.
He wasn’t surprised by Talot’s sudden appearance—after all, with his strength, how could he possibly perceive the current depths of Talot’s power?
“It seems you’ve already received North Kai’s message. Since that’s the case, I’ll trouble you,” Talot said, not bothering with unnecessary words.
Although this old man had never actively obstructed them in the past, nor had he ever disrupted Talot’s plans…
He had always known that Kami did not welcome them. In fact, he probably believed it would be best if they simply left Earth and never returned.
No one likes a person who acts one way on the surface but harbors different thoughts behind their backs—especially when you’ve always treated that person with kindness from the very beginning.
With Kami leading the way, Talot disappeared from the Lookout along with him.
The sensation of crossing the boundary between the world of living and the world of death was truly magical.
Only by experiencing it firsthand could one understand it.
Unlike Instant Transmission, which simply traversed space, this felt like suddenly stepping into an entirely different world—one where even the body could distinctly perceive the change.
