With the help of Talot and Salari, the space pirate incident on Planet Shaudi was completely resolved.
After lending Jaco help, they naturally let Tights contact Earth to let them know she was safe.
Tights was immensely grateful for Talot and Salari’s assistance.
As an adult, she fully understood that without Talot and Salari, they would have had no chance of overcoming this crisis so easily.
When she video-called her father and sister back on Earth, Tights truly felt their concern for her. It somewhat made her regret leaving Earth.
Still, while she felt nostalgic, Tights resolved to make something of herself now that she was out here.
Although she had been smart since childhood, she didn’t share her father’s passion for scientific research, and she was also keenly aware that she couldn’t compare to her sister, Bulma.
Because of this, she was even more determined to carve out her own achievements.
After getting to know Talot and Salari better, Tights learned that they were undergoing training in the universe and actively sought to join them.
Perhaps it was because she realized Jaco couldn’t adequately protect her, and that Talot and Salari were capable, so she made this decision.
Talot found it hard to refuse her request.
Even if she might turn out to be a burden, she was the one who volunteered, and her father, Dr. Brief, had asked Talot to look after her. If he outright rejected her, the goodwill he had built with them might crumble.
After all, Dr. Brief and Bulma had helped him tremendously.
Before Talot could respond, Salari eagerly grabbed Tights’ hand, clearly welcoming her to join them.
Unlike her hostility toward Bulma, Salari had no conflict with Tights.
Perhaps it was because Tights naturally exuded a “big sister next door” vibe, which made her approachable.
Besides, space travel was lonely, and having someone new along meant less boredom for Salari in the future.
“Fine, you can come along, but you must promise not to act recklessly. Follow my orders at all times, or I’ll send you straight back to Earth.”
“Don’t worry, don’t worry, I’m not the type to act on my own.” Tights stuck out her tongue, looking charming and adorable.
She was already a beautiful girl, but her personality was also lively.
Talot shook his head, feeling speechless as he watched her chat with Salari about women topics.
Nevertheless, Talot still agreed to bring Tights.
He couldn’t let her disrupt his original plans.
In fact, bringing her along might even be convenient—for example, she could take over tasks like piloting the spaceship, sparing him the trouble.
However, it was also inconvenient because their upcoming journey is going to be quite dangerous.
For instance, their planned visit to Planet Cereal would undoubtedly cause them to run into more enemies.
If not for the fact that both he and Salari could use Instant Transmission, Talot might have reconsidered the idea entirely.
Of course, there was another key reason: as Tights explained, she was working on a novel and had yet to finalize the protagonist. Talot’s presence had sparked unique inspiration in her.
In other words, she wanted to write Talot as the main character of her story. By staying close to him, it would be easier to create.
The idea of being a novel protagonist… Talot had occasionally fantasized about it in his past life.
Though he couldn’t help but wonder what kind of story Tights could possibly write.
He only remembered from the original work that Tights’ novel, inspired by Jaco, wasn’t very successful or well-received.
But that was to be expected. Jaco’s strength is just so-so. Even if he took her on space adventures, what kind of experiences could she have? What kind of story could be written about it?
【A novel with me as the protagonist? If I don’t step up my game and give you something interesting, wouldn’t I end up being just like Jaco?】
Talot mused to himself, feeling a bit of anticipation at the idea of Tights chronicling his story of dealing with Frieza Force.
He couldn’t help but imagine Frieza holding the novel, reading about his actions. What kind of expression would he make?
…..
With that, it was decided that Tights would temporarily join them, and a new journey across the universe began.
After accompanying Jaco to escort Amond and other prisoners to Planet Nutts, Talot and others parted ways with him.
While on Planet Nutts, they took the opportunity to observe the Galactic Prison located there. After all, in the original timeline, Turles had invaded this planet to break Amond out.
Frankly, it wasn’t that Turles was overly powerful—it was simply that the Galactic Patrol was incredibly weak.
If it weren’t for the Galactic Patrol having the backing of the Supreme Kais and later the Trainee Angel Merus, they might have been wiped out long ago.
Time passed quickly, and before they knew it, three months had gone by.
The most significant event during this time was Talot, Salari, and Tights arriving on Planet Cereal to conduct a thorough investigation.
When they first landed, the trio immediately noticed that the entire planet had been transformed into a resource hub for the Frieza Force.
Frieza’s soldiers were everywhere, and fortresses dotted every region.
Additionally, numerous alien races were present—mostly those who had long-standing alliances with the Frieza Force or were dependent on them for survival.
However, Talot found no trace of the Heeter Force’ people. It was as if they had completely vanished.
He speculated they were either hiding out of fear of being double-crossed and annihilated by the Frieza Force or had disappeared for other reasons.
In short, after understanding the situation, Talot obtained the most authentic intelligence, namely that Cereal became Frieza’s private property, labeled as Planet Frieza 1993.
Over the three months, Talot and Salari hid their identity and disguised themselves as members of an unknown force. They used this cover to gather intelligence and secretly search for the Namekian Monaito.
During this time, they encountered multiple conflicts with Frieza Force soldiers.
Unsurprisingly, Talot handled these skirmishes with ease.
On Planet Cereal, the Frieza Force’s strongest combatant had a power level of only 15,000.
Among them, only five captain-level had a power level exceeding 10,000.
Not to mention Talot, even Salari could easily handle them.
Of course, in order to avoid causing too much of a commotion, they would secretly eliminate some Frieza Force soldiers who discovered them during their investigation, but they would not expose themselves directly.
After all, they still need to find Monaito.
What baffled Talot, however, was that Monaito seemed to have vanished into thin air. Despite his meticulous mastery over sensing Ki, he couldn’t detect Monaito’s presence anywhere.
Still, he was certain that Monaito was on Planet Cereal and hadn’t left!
