At the same time
On Planet Shaudi.
Jaco and Tights were hiding deep within a cave in the dense forest, evading the pursuit of their enemies.
Originally, they had only come to Planet Shaudi to gather intelligence and, in passing, liberate the enslaved Shaudians.
Considering this was a Second Class mission, it was supposed to be a lucrative job. But who would have thought that a mission that was supposed to be easy would turn out to be so difficult, with the space pirates enslaving the Shaudians being so powerful?
“What do we do now, Jaco? Will someone really come to save us?” Tights was on the verge of despair.
She loved adventure, but this life-threatening kind wasn’t what she signed up for.
“Who would have thought the infamous space pirate, Amond, would be here? His companions are among the most ruthless criminals in the entire North Area!” Jaco lamented, nearly in tears.
Amond’s power level was 10,000!
How could a Second Class Galactic Patrolman like him, practically a rookie, ever hope to match Amond?
Jaco felt like his mind was falling apart. He wasn’t sure if the intel team had set him up on purpose or if he was just incredibly unlucky.
‘Damn it! I thought this would be a simple mission where I could show off in front of Tights and boost my image. Who knew these pirates would be here?’ Jaco was mentally breaking down, but he managed to keep a calm demeanor.
“Trust me, the headquarters’ backup will arrive soon. For now, we just need to stay hidden and avoid being discovered,” Jaco reassured Tights.
At this moment, although he was so nervous that he was sweating profusely, terrified they’d be found, he still maintained a high level of composure as he tried to comfort her.
Hearing this, Tights quickly calmed down.
At the very least, Jaco had never lied to her.
What she didn’t realize was that Jaco’s words were just meant to comfort her—they were essentially gambling their lives.
Pulling out her notebook, Tights’ demeanor changed and began to record what had happened here.
“Hey… aren’t you being a little too dedicated?” Jaco couldn’t help but comment upon noticing her actions.
He knew she was the type of novelist who could even forget her family for the sake of writing, but this was a life-or-death situation! Not exactly the time to work on a novel.
Tights ignored him and continued her writing.
If anything, this experience had given her a massive burst of inspiration.
Time passed quietly, and after half a day of tense waiting, a spaceship suddenly descended from the sky, locking onto their location.
The spaceship was piloted by Talot.
“Huh? That… that’s…??” Jaco was the first to notice it, gazing up at the descending spacecraft.
The unfamiliar ship made him confused.
It definitely wasn’t a Galactic Patrol’s spaceship.
Nor did it belong to any force he knew of…
Wait—it was somewhat similar to Frieza Force’s ship, but it wasn’t the same.
Was it some newly developed model?
Or had another group of unknown alien invaders arrived on Planet Shaudi?
Standing beside Jaco, Tights also observed the ship. As it drew closer, the logo on its surface suddenly caught her attention.
“Is… is that the logo of my family’s Capsule Corporation?” With just one glance, Tights recognized the logo of Capsule Corporation.
She doubted her eyes for a moment, rubbing them repeatedly to make sure she wasn’t hallucinating.
“It really is the Capsule Corporation’s logo! Oh my gosh, did your father build a spaceship?!” Jaco, with his sharp eyes, quickly spotted the logo after Tights pointed it out.
He, too, was puzzled. Sure, Dr. Brief was amazing, but this was too unreal.
Earth’s technological level has only reached the stage of sending humans into space; they are far from being able to manufacture a spaceship.
As Tights and Jaco pondered in confusion, the spaceship locked onto their location and finally landed steadily in a nearby open glade in the forest.
Jaco didn’t let his guard down. Instead, he heightened his vigilance.
To him, this situation was highly strange.
He drew the Galactic Patrol Gun from his waist.
Even if the ship bore Capsule Corporation’s logo, he couldn’t confirm whether it was friend or foe.
If things went south, he was prepared to attack immediately and escape with Tights.
With a mechanical click, the spaceship’s hatch began to open under the watchful eyes of Jaco and Tights.
Talot and Salari appeared at the hatch and leaped down.
“Two… kids?”
Jaco was dumbfounded, frozen in place.
He had prepared for the worst—even if the spaceship’s occupants turned out to be enemies. But instead, what stepped out were two children who appeared no older than ten.
‘Wait, these two kids are giving me a dangerous vibe!’
Focusing his senses, Jaco confirmed it wasn’t just his imagination.
Beside him, Tights stared in shock when she got a clear look at who had emerged from the spaceship.
Memories surged back, and the figures of Talot and Salari overlapped with two familiar faces in her mind.
Although she had only met them once on Earth a year ago, she remembered them clearly.
“It’s… it’s them?!” Tights exclaimed in surprise.
“Huh? You know them?” Jaco asked, his face full of astonishment.
Tights nodded but didn’t have time to reply as Talot and Salari had already appeared before them.
“Just as I thought, you’re here too, Tights. Do you still remember us?” Talot smiled faintly, greeting her first.
“It really is you two! So this spaceship was built by my dad?” Tights asked, overjoyed.
“Tights, they’re your friends?” Jaco asked, still completely lost.
She hadn’t mentioned knowing two kids like this before.
“Just a few days before you came to Earth to pick me up, they visited my dad asking for help to make some gravity device…
“I never expected to run into them here on Planet Shaudi. If I remember correctly, they’re martial artists with incredible strength.”
Tights recalled all the details as she explained things to Jaco.
After she finished, Talot smiled and added, “We didn’t fully introduce ourselves back then due to some reason. We’re not Earthlings—we’re Saiyans. After arriving on Earth, we learned a lot and sought out your dad for help. Yes, this spaceship was indeed built by him.”
Jaco stood there, utterly stunned, his mind in chaos.
“S-Saiyans?! You’re not Earthlings, but Saiyans?!” Because of surprise, Jaco shouted out loud.
How could he not know about Saiyans?
A year ago, his main purpose for going to Earth was to eliminate the Saiyan infant that had been sent there.
Later, due to a series of unforeseen events, he not only failed to eliminate the Saiyan but also nearly couldn’t leave Earth because of damage to his spaceship.
“It’s okay, Jaco. Even though you’ve told me Saiyans are evil, I don’t think they’re enemies.”
Despite the terrifying things she’d learned about Saiyans, she trusted her instincts.
Jaco snapped out of his thoughts and scrutinized Talot and Salari.
‘Let’s hope they’re not enemies… Wait, what am I afraid of? They’re just kids! How strong can they really be?’
He tried to reassure himself.
Sure, he couldn’t take down Amond, the space pirate, but two Saiyan kids?
Even though Saiyans are a fighting race, they are still too young to be a threat.
Suddenly, Jaco remembered the danger and became tense, his expression changing as he looked at Talot and Salari.
Damn it, with such a large target appearing, their whereabouts are going to be exposed.
They had barely passed the dangerous period, and now they’re definitely going to be discovered.
“How did you even know Jaco and I were here?” Tights asked.
“Well…” Talot told her about the spaceship’s features.
Hearing that, she was further shocked by her father and younger sister’s talent.
Meanwhile, Talot used the opportunity to inquire about the situation on the planet.
Initially suspecting it might involve the Frieza Force, he was surprised to learn it was a group of space pirates.
‘That name rings a bell… Who could it be?’ Talot thought to himself.
Recalling the original work’s storyline, a figure immediately appeared in his mind.
“Isn’t this one of Turles’ henchmen when he invaded Earth in the movie, the red-skinned guy?”
He didn’t expect to encounter him here.
No—it should be said that the people in the movie world also exist in this world.
Power level over 10,000…. it is indeed Amond’s strength.
Beep beep beep beep… beep beep beep beep…
Suddenly, Talot and Salari’s scouters emitted an alert sound.
Then, two power levels popped up.
5,500.
5,600.
“Brother Talot, the scouter shows that two people are rapidly flying toward us.” Salari said.
Talot nodded. “They must have detected our spaceship landing and are coming to investigate.”
Beside them, Jaco and Tights turned pale.
Tights didn’t understand, but Jaco knew very well what a power level over 5,000 meant.
“So, we’ve been discovered after all?” Jaco felt his composure slipping.
“They’re just small fry with power levels slightly over 5,000. Perfect opponents for you, Salari,” Talot said with a smile.
After training on Namek and Yardrat, Salari could easily handle not just these two small fries but even Amond himself.
“Got it, Brother Talot!” Salari replied eagerly.
Then, she immediately soared into the sky using Flight technique.
For her, it would be her first real battle against enemies.
Seeing this, Talot followed closely behind to ensure nothing unexpected happened.
“Hey, wait, you two! Stop!” Jaco finally reacted, trying to stop them, but it was too late.
In his eyes, Talot and Salari were being far too reckless. They were walking straight to their death.
